Corner George Inn Bed & Breakfast

This is a real good B&B in the beautiful old village of Maeystown, Illinois! Very nice rooms and an excellent breakfast! The innkeepers are very helpful in finding things to do around town. This is a one of a kind village that you must see! The rooms are cozy and very quiet for a peaceful stay!

Perfect place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of life’s busy schedules. The hosts are very accommodating (they asked about dietary needs and ability to handle stairs) as well as any special request. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere is so relaxing and inviting. We sat and read in the common/ballroom room at night, listened to the old Victrola and then retired to the summer kitchen quarters that were well prepared. We could not ask for better nights stay. Stay here if you want to have a quiet and relaxing getaway. We will definitely be back.

Loved the rustic and comfortable accommodation, and especially the location. The host was very helpful for my requests to stash my bicycle in a secure place overnight on a festival weekend. This was a very cozy stay, and I would go there again. I see that one or two past reviews were made by guests who were disappointed, but that was not my experience. Be realistic - this is a historic building and in a very small town, and that's part of its charm. Persons with need for special accommodation should consider some of the limitations and check with the host. I found him very willing to make my stay as pleasant as possible.

Go back in time, slow down and stay awhile with antique furnishings. Located in an old German town, very quaint. One suggestion would be to try and stay at the guest house around back, its quieter. Absolutely love this place and the town. And the friendliest people around.

We loved our stay at the Inn! David was a wonderful host and we talked for a long time while touring the Inn and house across the street with the loft. After seeing the rooms we decided to switch to the loft! Every room was decorated and arranged lovingly and it had a warm and welcoming feel. So much hard work has been put into keeping the Inn in amazing condition. There was a large yard with old trees and a creek. The room was comfortable and cozy, with everything we needed and more. We ate dinner at the bar and grill across the street and stayed up listening to music and hanging with locals. Our breakfast the next morning was great! David will customize it to your tastes. The ball room where we ate is pretty as well and full of antiques. Maeystown is little, population approx. 160, but we felt welcomed! If you love antiques and need a relaxing, quiet place to get away, I highly recommend the Inn!

This historic place has been lovingly restored for the enjoyment of its guests. The rooms are comfortable . The breakfast is wonderful. I really enjoyed walking the town and shopping in the General Store. The coffeehouse across the street is very enjoyable.

My wife and I stayed at the Corner George Inn in October 2013. My father and his wife lived in Maeystown several years ago and loved it. They have both passed away. We were in the area visiting my mother and mother-in-law and chose to visit Maeystown. We enjoyed visiting with David, the owner. He gave us a tour of the town and helped us reconnect with a high school friend and his wife. We enjoyed our visit with them also. Our room and breakfast was very nice. We had a great experience in every way!

1800s German Settlement made this a quite the B&B stop. Our hosts were fabulous and most friendly. Tour the shops and enjoy the quiet too!! Very nice, I hope we can visit again.

stopped in here during octoberfest, bought a bag of Arnie's Brew ground coffee didn't expect much but it was a very complicated brew with a nice finish definitely will buy more the next time i'm in the area

Maeystown is beautiful and the people are great. The owners of the corner george are wonderful. Breakfast was great! Can't wait to go back!

Warm homey inn. Full of character. Inn keepers are helpful and prompt. Lots of antiques collected with care. Enjoying our time here and can't wait to return.

4th time there in the last 20 years. My wife and I really enjoy it. Dave the owner is a real nice guy. I highly recommend.
