Alton Cracker Factory - Upscale Guest Lodging

I stayed in the Piasa Suite for three nights in mid-September. This is a marvelous place to stay. The suite is very comfortable and well thought-out. Excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout. And it was impeccably clean! From the quality of the kitchenware to the furnishings and storage space, it is clear that Mike, the owner, put his full creative efforts into making guests comfortable. And I loved the deck and river view!

I had a chance to look in at the Eagle’s Nest penthouse on the top floor: It would be an excellent stay for a larger group, and would suit perfectly for a reception or other social gathering.

Upfront: I learned that Mike and I share our alma mater, the U.S. Naval Academy, as well as having served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

We just stayed in the Clark suite and the space has everything you need and more, Everything in the unit is top shelf. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom fixtures are upscale and you can't beat the view,

Simply stunning. The rooms are spacious, accommodating, comfortable, and have incredible views. There was original hardwood in our room, and it was beautiful! I also heard a yoga studio is slated to be constructed on the downstairs level. That would be so well-favored! The host was also very kind and professional. 10/10 - highly recommend!

We were in town for the Haunted America conference and the Clark Suite was simply perfect for our team of four. It is a historic building, and it is within walking distance of many dining options and shopping. Thank you, Mike, and Julie, for hosting us and I hope to be back next year!

The Piasa Loft is incredible! Perfect place for one or two people to enjoy a comfortable stay in Alton and explore all the area has to offer.
Everything you need for a comfortable stay, whether it is for a couple nights or a longer visit-even a small stacked washer/dryer unit! Eat out or cook your own meals, enjoy relaxing on the small patio that looks out over the river. Perfet!

A beautiful BNB. Our entire family was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful accommodations and views. Downtown walking distance to Old Bakery Brewery, antique shops, small businesses, fishing, and casino. A perfect location, and beautiful rooms. I highly recommend staying there.

The Penthouse was a beautiful loft with an amazing scenery of the Mississippi River. I love it❤ plus a huge balcony with plenty of room for a gathering. Barbecue grill, kitchen with EVERYTHING, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a jacuzzi. I PROMISE YOU, YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!

We totally loved our stay, and we highly recommend you to book this place. Not only was the house beautiful and extremely clean, but the host was excellent (very professional and helpful).

There is a beautiful view of the Mississippi River Bridge which you can see from the balcony. I will definitely book at this location again.

We stayed in the Lewis Suite. It is built well, the design is beautiful, and the balcony tops it all off. Our room was clean and Mike was very easy to communicate with. We will stay here again when we are back in St. Louis as Alton has a cool variety of shops, bars, and restaurants.

This is a very cool little loft stay in downtown Alton, IL just minutes to the riverfront and a short drive down the river road to Grafton. The balcony is really great for spending time outside and offers a great view. If your staying in the area I would highly recommend this stay.

The suite was spacious and very clean. The large windows and balcony offered an amazing view of the Mississippi River. Excellent location that is within walking distance of several restaurants and plenty of parking space. Will stay here again!

My groomsmen booked a suite here for my bachelor party, and it was great! There was plenty of room for everyone, and the view from the back balcony overlooking the Mississippi River provided a wonderful view. Everything was clean and updated.

Oh my gosh, I can't think of enough words to express how awesome this place is. Mike is awesome, great prices for what you get. The Clarke suite is gorgeous and the view is amazing but that eagles nest penthouse is is just breathtaking. The jacuzzi tub, the two walk in showers, everything is great. I recently had a bad accident where I got hit by a car, and the beds in both the Clarke suite and the eagles nest are the only beds since February that I've been able to sleep in and wake up without pain. Beds are amazing, everything's comfortable. Just overall an amazing place. 100/10 would recommend. Wrote this on my second visit and there will be many more.

Gorgeous location, luxurious accommodation, super friendly owners! We were in love with the view of the Mississippi from the balcony. Our stay was super brief, and bone chilling cold but we're looking forward to coming back for a longer visit in the warmer months.

I stayed here with my family for a wedding in Alton. The owner is very friendly and helpful and worked to accommodate our needs. Even though we had the smallest unit it was much more spacious than I had expected. It a great place to stay with small children as there is every convenience of home that you will need, and the price comparable to a normal hotel, but much more comfortable. I really loved the view of the Clark Bridge from the balcony window.

Stayed in the Clark suite on June 8. This is not your ordinary place. This is next level. The rooms are fantastic. Everything is just so immaculate. The details are paid attention to. Jason in housekeeping is just a marvel. I cannot recommend this place enough! If you are on the fence, reading these reviews, stop reading and just book it. It is an amazing place that you will love.

Had an Amazing time. My sisters company held there Christmas party. The place is beautiful inside & they have luxurious rooms that you stay overnite. They have a great view over the Mississippi river. The main bathroom has an great big Jacuzzi bathtub & lovely shower. I want to go back. Being a Senior citizen I did however feel tired after having to climb all those stairs.

Stayed here during a friend's wedding and not only was all the remodeling very beautiful, it has all updated appliances, ample space, and a beautiful view of the river from every rentable space's balcony. You're also close to a lot of shops and other wonderful Alton attractions. Plus a hop and a skip over the river and you have all the fun options of St. Louis! My only (very small) complaint was the internet topped out at 5mbps on every speed test I ran and even some websites I went to on my laptop had issues loading. But honestly, if you're staying here to use the internet you're doing it wrong!

Such a beautiful location for a hotel. The owner was very nice and always available to communicate. The room we stayed in felt just like home and the balcony had a great view of the river. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Alton!
