Pie Hard Pizzeria

It was our first time, a bit of a drive from our house, but worth it.
This is a cozy brick oven style pizza place with a super creative menu.
We tried out the garlic cheese sticks, The Kurt Brussel Pizza: mustard bechamel • shaved brussels sprouts • white cheddar • bacon syrup • red pepper flakes, and the Korean Club Sandwich.
The dough was nice, crispy on the outside and chewy. The sauce had layers of flavor, super imaginative combinations of toppings, and perfectly cheesy!
The service was definitely a huge highlight of our experience. She made great suggestions, made sure our drinks stayed full, and even poked fun of me 😂😂. We really felt like family and it made our first experience that much better!

We absolutely love this quaint and unique pizza place in Waterloo. The owners are one of a kind. The food is all made from scratch, and trust me—it shows! I highly suggest the farmhouse salad and the Island pizza. But you really can’t go wrong with anything you order. The Sunday brunch is top notch. Can’t say enough great things about Pie Hard!

I go here frequently and always have a wonderful meal. Nate and Keaton are the best and obviously passionate about what they cook. Atmosphere is excellent. Top notch - cool- and fun!

We ordered the Farmhouse Salad, Kurt Brussels pizza, and the Queen pizza. It was phenomenal! We came at the dinner rush so of course we had to wait a bit after we ordered, but the food was well worth the wait. Good things take time to cook! Everything tasted high quality and I cannot say enough how delicious it was. We will be back!

Incredible place. The atmosphere is fun and inviting, it's loungey without being lazy. It's colorful without being loud. The food is exceptional, constant specials make your every visit a brand new one, and the staples on the menu give you the confort of knowing you are taken care of. I had the Farmers salad, it was fresh, and crisp and dressed to perfection. The drinks are whimsical and delicious, the pizza is to die for! Watch out for me I'll probably be there again this Sunday for brunch.

Pie hard pizza is some of the best wood-fired pizza I have had! The flavor combinations put together by the chef are fabulous, and the salads (especially the farmhouse) are on point! If you are looking for a great dining experience and some small-town local flare then this is for you!

I hardly have any good pictures because our food never lasts long enough!! The island is one of my favorite pizzas ever but, honestly I’ve never had something here that I didn’t love.

Be sure to try a little bit of everything, try a cocktail or two, and definitely stop in for their pop-up evenings. Michael and Megan are always cooking up something incredible, and it’s definitely worth a stop!

Visited today for the Sunday brunch and it was phenomenal as I had the breakfast pizza. My friend had the biskets and he said they were very good as well. Service was friendly and good

Fantastic pizza and a great experience overall! A trendy place to eat for Waterloo. Had to try a slice of the Mcclane and a slice of the Kevin Bacon and I highly recommend both! Ella was a standout at service!

From the moment we entered, the staff were so friendly. My wife and I were coming here for our second anniversary. They blew our expectations out of the water. From personal recommendations on cocktails to some of the best pies I have eaten, they did service and food right. I highly rate this little gem and will definitely be back to try some of their other great food and drinks.

My 1st time there I tried a couple different pizzas ,the crawfish fritters, the smoked Caesar salad, and all 6 of their custards. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful really enjoyed it.

I absolutely love this place. I've never had a single thing that wasn't great. The pizzas are so freaking good and the different popup menus add some fun variety to the menu. Brunch is excellent too. The dining area is not very big so you might have to wait a bit for a table, but you can go grab a drink at one of the nearby places or they will deliver to Stubborn German Brewing just around the corner.

This place was so delicious! We loved everything: the mimosas, spicy Bloody Mary, French toast, and the biscuits and gravy. Also, always always get dessert - the bread pudding is to die for. Highly recommend!

The atmosphere is so great. The services was top notch. The pizza’s were some of the best I’ve ever had, and their cocktails were delicious. I love that they incorporate other local businesses into their menu.

Love this place! They have great pizza and always enjoy their garlic cheese sticks to start. I prefer their vodka sauce over the standard red but you can’t go wrong either way.
Their ingredients are top notch too. Some of the best tasting pepperoni and sausage I’ve tried.
Eat there way too much anymore but it’s a good go to and I enjoy supporting local.

Such a fun little restaurant! I went for Sunday brunch w my girls who thoroughly enjoyed the waffle charcuterie board - highly recommend!

So freaking good! Started with the Farmhouse salad, which I highly recommend. Ordered the McClain and Kurt Brussel pies as well as the cheesy garlic bread. Finished with their homemade custards. If you're somewhat close, you have to try it!

Really good , fresh, tasty pizza in a low key atmosphere. Friendly staff. The flavors are great, the crust is soft and chewy and fresh.

I love all kinds of pizza. Pie Hard's pizza might very well be the best I've ever had.
