Our MN crew had a great time at the float house. We hope to return in the future. The rope swing was a blast and easy to use. They have floaties to use there. Extra deck chairs. Shuffle board and pool table inside. Prepare for the stairs leading down to the house! Lugging our heavy suitcases was doable but not a pretty sight. The water was blue and beautiful. We were there mid-October. Everything was clearly labeled and fun to read. Charming and a hidden gem. We just loved it.

Great place for a getaway. Great folks running it. It may not be fancy but it is great for a group to get together and relax, while having fun lakeside. First floor is all kitchen, dining, and game room. Half bath as well on first floor. Second floor has three bedrooms that sleep up to four people each with a full bath on that floor.

We have been going to the Float House now for over 5 years, usually several times a year. We just returned from an incredibly fun 2023 Memorial Day weekend there with 5 friends and our dog. Despite the historically low water levels, we could not have had a better time, as always. The owners have gone to incredible lengths to ensure that The Famous Float House continues to deliver on its reputation as one of the most fun, uniquely situated, spots on all of Lake Travis for all ages. And like we always do, we were totally able to rent a Tri-toon boat from a local marina and motor it into the canal where the Float House is located and then use the awesome motorized dingy the Float House owners provide to run people and coolers out to the Tri-toon for then our usual amazing afternoon on Lake Travis. The whole thing was a breeze. And the new little motorized dingy is so much fun to have at the Float House to cruise around in and fish from. Anyhow, it could not have been a better, more fun weekend and we can't wait to go back later this season.

We stayed for the weekend at this place and just can't say enough good things about it. Rick and Ann (the owners) are great. They were very welcoming, informative and getting a hold of them was never an issue.
Now as far as the place goes, wow! These guys really thought of everything...no seriously, everything! Plenty of stuff to do inside and out. The rope swing was a hit and we really enjoyed sitting on the patio at night in front of the bonfire pit. We also had a great time fishing and we did pretty good catching catfish, striped bass, perch and even a largemouth.
Another afternoon we rented a captain/boat from 3 Amigos Boat Rental which was very close by. They picked us up at the house right off the patio and took us to some nearby bars on the lake. The rental property was clean and scenery all around you was gorgeous. The rooms are filled with windows so being able to wake up and immediately have a panoramic view of the lake and green hills around you was just awesome.
Overall just a good experience and a memory we wont forget. We are already planning our next trip here.

This place is awesome. You can tell how much love was put into this place when it was built... so much character here. Many props to the owners.

As a group of guys, this place was a dream come true. It's obvious that Rick and Ann have taken time to think of everything you could possibly need. Even though we went in late November, we used the rope swing like it was the middle of July, because it's that awesome. This is a hidden gem with even better people to back it up!

12 of my buds and I just spent the weekend here. It was a blast. We spent all of our time just hanging on the back patio and looking out over the lake. The shuffleboard and pool table were great to have inside. Every one of us made sure to go off the rope swing. I'm so sore! We would definitely go back.

My family of 6 adults, 2 kids, 4 dogs and 2 stray family members(who live in area) enjoyed the Float House for Thanksgiving.
Keep in mind, its a Texas winter, so a lot of swimming and using the swing and slide did not happen. But we had a blast!
We burned the fire pit and fished and canoed. We cooked Thanksgiving dinner there and yes, everything we needed in dishes and pots and pans were plentiful.
There was a game of pool and Foozball going at all times and a puzzle or board games being played on a table somewhere.
There is bedding for 14, maybe more...the storage in the house is amazing and clever. The lights down from the house to the yard made it so cute and inviting.
The house sits on its own , at the lake, so if your family is like mine, and board games can get a bit LOUD, it did not matter. There was no one to disturb. There is a small park right next door which made it fun for the little ones. My grandson was like a little monkey on the property. There are ladders and stairs and a deck 360 around the house. I never knew where he would end up. The beds , most, were temperpedic, so were quite comfortable. There were enough pillows and blankets for at least 50 people. :)
There is a gas and charcoal grill. We used both. Outside of us ladies slipping away for a massage , we never left , except to buy more groceries.
We all want to come back when the weather is warm, with a boat. This place is like Disneyland. SOOOOOOO MUCH FUN!
I was worried about sending this review, because I don't want everyone to know about it.
But Ann is so sweet I felt I needed to let people know what a gem this is!
BTW, half the fun is looking at the way it is decorated...hint hint..
Thank you Ann!
BTW, call me , I need to book a week in the summer.
