I have been going to see April for over a year now and I love the Care I received from all of the staff here and April is very concerned about the people that she cares for.

Dr. Stokes and his staff are great. I've been going to him for nearly 9 years.

Always the best for medical care. Even though I moved further away, I still go to Dr. Stokes. He listens to his patients and cares. Tests are run, gone over with you and treatment plans are offered. The nurses and reception staff are phenomenal! It's worth a visit just to see them. I recommend this office to anyone in need of good and honest medical advice.

It is always hard to choose a doctor when you move to a new city. I stopped in Dr. Stokes modern office and was impressed with efficiency of the staff. They gave me all the forms in advance of my first appointment. The well organized staff keep things moving all the time. When my wife and I got to our appointments with Dr. Stokes, he was friendly and knowledgeable. He spent a lot of time getting to know our medical history. He know a great deal about diabetes, which is something I have to deal with. After the appointment, prescriptions were handled quickly and efficiently through phone calls to the office.

Update 5/2016: Dr Stokes, and his fantastic staff (especially Nurse Linda) have saved my life. In office ultrasound revealed liver tumors. Referred to MD Anderson, I had metastatic cancer that would have otherwise have been overlooked. Dr Stokes has treated my diabetes. He is incredibly knowledgeable about this condition. My diabetes is completely controlled, and because of his training on the MD Anderson staff, he supports my involvement in a clinical trial. I have never had a primary care physician more competent and likeable.

Reading these reviews are very confusing. I’m not understanding why people are having all of these complaints and issues. I am 27 years old, I have been to so many different doctors, and I have only had 2 good experiences, before coming to see Dr. Stokes.
I had been dealing with many symptoms that were basically slowly killing me. I finally went in and saw Dr. Stokes for the first time. He ordered labs, and gave me a pretty thorough check up. He was very personable, and he actually educated me, and explained things in great detail. By the next visit, I knew what was wrong. I was still dealing with some pain, so on my second visit, he sent me for a scan. I went down to the hospital in Kingwood, got my scan, and the next day was back at the doctors office for him to give me the results. That was a Wednesday.
By Friday I was having surgery to remove my gallbladder. Today is 6 days post op for me, and I feel absolutely amazing. Dr. Stokes referred me out to a surgeon, yet Dr. Stokes called to check in a few days after the surgery. Making sure that my concern I was having were taken care of, and options were explained to me, in order to get it taken care of.
I am extremely grateful for Dr. Stokes. If it was not for him, my daughter wouldn’t have a chance to have a good mom, because the pain and sickness I have been experiencing over the past year or so was crippling. Dr. Stokes is a magnificent provider.
So many people on here are complaining about wait times, and blood work. How do you expect to go in somewhere and be the only patient, if you are ever a doctors only patient, I would say that’s a red flag. If you don’t get labs done, how can they say for certain what is going on? I think people are crybabies about the things that don’t really matter. If you want help from someone who is caring , dedicated to their job, and willing to get to the bottom of what is going on…then this is the place for you.

Exceptional Doctor with an amazing staff…I drive 2 1/2 hours for treatment.. He may not always be punctual on the time, but never rushes thru treatment and takes time to explain what he is doing..

Dr stokes goes over and beyond and actually does preventive instead of reactive. He doesn't just prescribed medication there is a full work up before that and I appreciate the blood work and urine check ups.

So far so good. They get me in and out quick. Go over my blood work and recommend things I can try to make my Heath better.

Dr. Stokes has been our family doctor for many years and I could not be more pleased with his service.

Done with this office. My husband and I have each been there 3 times since January. Out of those 6 visits, blood was taken 5 times (appx $150 EACH tume in lab fees). The office ladies schedule appointments before he even gets there. Our first visit was an hour wait after our schedules time, 2nd was an hour and a half. The only reason we got in on time on our 3rd visit was because our friend told his daughter (who is an employee) to make sure we got in on tume or we were done. Found out today that the doctor cancelled my husband's blood pressure prescription the SAME DAY HE WROTE IT. For those of you not on BP meds, these prescriptions are goid for 6 months unless the patient has an issue with them, which he hasn't. After calling today, the office lady: #1 refused to let my husband talk with the nurse, #2 refused to ASK the nurse or doctor if this was some kind of mistake, #3 told him he would have to come in and have more blood drawn ($25 + $150 visit) in order to get a new prescription. It's always reassuring to know that the lady, who can't even schedule appointments for when the doctor is there, is taking care of your medical needs. Seeing a new doctor today.
