We have used Carnes Funeral Home twice now. Our funeral director Mary Jo was so caring and helpful throughout the entire process. Their Texas City location facilities are very nice and welcomed my family with care and professionalism. No one ever wants to think about final arrangements however if you ever find yourself needing to make such arrangements, CFH will definitely take good care of you! Thank you so much Mary Jo and Elizabeth for reaching out to me with words of comfort and encouragement also for remembering my moms birthday today 9/6. We miss her dearly…I very much appreciate you both!

Carnes was a gift in a troubling time of my families life. At 26 trying to figure out how to navigate my father’s remains I was truly lost, but with the kindness and care from Carnes it made the entire process a breeze. They really make you feel special even when what your dealing with is the worst thing imaginable.

It’s been 3 months since our mom passed away and let me tell you that on the hardest day of our lives Carnes was there for us every step of the way. Mary was the perfect person to help guide us through the perfect service and make our moms final arrangements exactly what we know she would’ve wanted. Planning a service for a parent was extremely hard but Carnes and Mary made it bearable.

So thankful for the compassionate and thorough service that Carnes Funeral Home provided after the sudden death of my sister.

I was concerned about how my husband would look at his viewing. Carnes did an impeccable job. The only thing I have to say is it is hard to get someone on the phone and and that maybe 1 or 2 staff members could be more emphatic via phone. However I am sure this will change as they increase staff. They did an amazing job. We will definitely entrust our loved ones with them in the future. May blessings rain upon your business!

Carnes funeral home is the one I would go back to and recommend I have experienced one other funeral home personally but Carnes was the best
Kevin was our director and he made us feel so important and the services went smooth and he knew ahead of what I may ask or be concerned about and had those things fixed In this situation you feel over whelmed but Kevin has so much experience that it makes it that much easier to figure everything out.

-Building is beautiful, fresh and clean, lit very well , not dark (doesn’t make you feel death)
-personnel were very caring to everyone
-quality of funeral coffins and flowers were beautiful- and I didn’t have to worry about flowers
-Parking was enough

My 39 yr old daughter died unexpectedly. I live in Michigan now so I was devastated and did not know what I was going to do or make arrangements until I could get there. Carnes Funeral Home blessed my family with a package deal above and beyond over the telephone. They took care of everything and my daughters memorial was beautiful. I sent Mary Jo photos, songs, and obit, she took care of it. We cremated my daughter, but we were able to have a complete memorial service before. I am eternally grateful for them especially Mary Jo. She was amazing and so kind. Very professional and compassionate. I highly recommend them. 10 stars ⭐

First of all I never thought I would be writing a review for a funeral home however I lost my father and my mother within a year of each other.
Mary Jo and Elizabeth and their staff were friendly, compassionate, kind,
and professional from start to finish. They handled everything with the
sensitivity and ease needed in the difficult area of death. The days I had to come and sign off on documents, and complete everything was very
difficult. But I never felt rushed, prodded, or like it was business as usual.
They took the time to explain everything in detail. They definitely took my
feelings and emotions seriously and that was very much appreciated. And when a preacher came up missing at the last minute one of the drivers stepped up and said a lot of nice things along with bible verses that left smiles on those who attended as if it was planned all along. They blended in with our guest and you could tell they genuinely cared and wanted to help make everything seamless.
Mary Jo and Elizabeth went as far as giving me their personal cell numbers and advised me to call anytime. Its rare when I get amazing customer service.

After my husbands sister passed away unexpectedly at a young age we contacted Carnes Funeral Home they bent over backwards to help us in every way possible, very, very reasonable with prices, the utmost respect for our family, and departed sister, daughter, and mother. I highly recommend Carnes if the need should come up I cannot speak more highly of everything they have did for us during this difficult time and they made sure during a total power outage and ice storm to make sure they got our loved one back in time as promised. They treated us like family during our difficult time. Thank you for everything you have done to help ease our pain especially Mike and Mary Jo.

I would like to say thank you to Carnes Funeral home in South Houston. I personally used them for two reasons. First time was for my baby nephew before he was born he was already in Heaven with our lord! They took care of me with a lot of care and compassion. I could not do it but they helped me through it all. The second time I used them was for my husbands uncle that passed and they did an amazing job with him he looked asleep peaceful. His son that was 7 even said "my dad looks asleep and for that we are grateful because it was not easy explaining to a child that their father has gone to heaven. These people are amazing. They will work with you and show you and listen to all that you want to get done! Thank you to all that were involved in showing our family kindness in very hard times.
