Pho Barr

Pho Barr is raising the bar for Vietnamese food in the Webster area. I would put the restaurant up there with some of the top restaurants in the greater Houston area.

The humble front of the building conceals one of the coolest decorated restaurants I’ve seen in a while. While keeping true to the Vietnamese roots of this cuisine, there is something distinctly Texan and H-town about this place. I’m loving the aesthetic from the Vietnamese murals to the neon wall decorations and lighting. I was feeling the ambiance and vibe of a place you can hang out and have a great night.

The service was prompt, being greeted and shown to a seat right away. Drinks were brought to the table immediately and the food arrived what seemed like mere minutes after ordering.

I ordered the Cơm tấm sườn bì chả (Broken rice with grilled pork chop) and the Vermicelli bowl with grilled ribeye. To drink I ordered Bạc Xỉu (Vietnamese White Coffee).

The Cơm Tấm Sườn Bì Chả was exceptional. I had planned on just getting a bánh mì until I saw this on the menu. It says its seasonal, so I’m not sure if its temporary but you need to come get this asap. The pork chop was tender, juicy and incredibly flavorful. The rice was good and the shredded pork skin was an amazing addition. It added a nice little crunch to the meal. The egg cake (Chả Trứng) was delicious . It was like a quiche with the consistency of meatloaf. There was a hot sauce that accented the meal perfectly. All around the dish was astounding and astonishingly good. The Vermicelli bowl with ribeye was really good. The ribeye was cooked to perfection and the nước mắm was really good. I couldn’t believe the portion size. I’m not usually paying attention to portion size but the sheer amount of meat in this bowl was impossible to ignore. It definitely put some other restaurants to shame.

The Bạc Xỉu was very good. This was my first time trying it. I usually get cà phê sữa đá or cà phê muối, so this was a nice change of pace. It had a smooth, delicate flavor and almost reminded me of chocolate milk with more of a coffee flavor but lacking the strong bitter coffee taste of cà phê sữa đá. I enjoyed it.

The menu here was quite large with an impressive variety. I cannot wait to come back and try some of the other dishes and drinks. Please show Pho Barr some love. Your appetite will thank you!

I’m picky when it come to viet food as i’m viet myself. Let me tell you, the food and atmosphere is amazing. Service was great. Had the rice and vermicelli plate with rib eye. Fish sauce was on point. Only thing i can say is that their rib eye had lots of fatty pieces, but nothing unbearable. We also had their Pork Spring rolls and coconut shrimp. Peanut sauce is perfection, not runny like others. Will come back to try the pho.

I had the garlic tofu banh mi and oh my it was great! Nice crunchy crust and soft inside for the bread, the tofu was nice and crispy. I only wish I'd asked for more mayo.

My shrimp springs rolls was a really good price, which comes as equally as important as the taste and wonderful service. I love their wall paintings and NASA theme. Really cool at nighttime. I’ll definitely be returning for more.

Very welcoming and fast service👌 First time here and I ordered a Vermicelli grilled chicken bowl and Mama's Egg rolls💕 Everything was delicious 😋. Defitnetly check this place out😇.

We enjoyed it! Tried it out because we have a bafhl card. The discount is only for the cardholder. The pho was tasty. The Bo Luc Loc was too little meat. I'd rather pay another 2$ and get 2 more ounces of meat. Maybe they should have a small and large option? I was craving traditional Vietnamese egg rolls. The mama rolls were just too small. Would not order again. Definitely would return and get pho, banh mi, and try something new. The staff was attentive and friendly. Atmosphere on point. Prices reasonable. Will return.

At first I was skeptical, shady area at night a bit dark but it was this fabulous quaint spot with a bar! Lol The soup was OK but the ribeye sandwich and specialty fries had so much flavor & super tasty! The fried eye rolls were pretty tasty too! I would definitely go back! Cute decor too! Fun & cozy place w good music to sing too, yet not to loud that you can’t have a conversation. Staff was speedy & friendly!

Very unassuming Vietnamese restaurant in a strip mall with blacked out windows, but wait until you step inside! The decor and LED neon lights were so cool and clean. NASA theme was very fitting for the Webster location. My wife walked in to place a to-go order for their banh mi sandwiches.

She said the service was great! She sat by the high top area as she was waiting and the owner (I believe he was?) poured her a nice glass of ice water (love the mason jars). So very kind!

The banh mi sandwiches were delicious. The baguette was soft on the inside and had a nice little crunch on the outside, veggies were crisp, BUT the protein was the main star! The grilled rib-eye and pork were tender and had such a wonderful, smoky flavor. A little messy, but such a nice treat!

Absolutely phenomenally delicious food. The staff are incredibly polite, friendly, and helpful with the menu. Every person working here was HUSTLING to get food out, take orders, and clear tables, sometimes even jogging back and forth. These people are good hard workers that make exceptional food. I would definitely recommend and would eat here again if I’m on this side of town.

The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The portions were satisfying that I had leftovers!

Second time here, Banhmi was really good, and they recommended me the fries. Very delicious.

Food was delicious and love the different options for bubble tea and shakes!

Idk what they did with their house salad, but it was fire. I ended up asking one of the guys and he gave me detailed instructions which I appreciate because restaurants always like to be so coy about their special house sauce. Anyways, 10 out of 10 place. Would recommend if you like affordable and tasty soup, salad, sandwiches, and boba. The vibe feels like we’re in the streets of Da Nang 1997 and the place is so clean, I licked up the pho that I spilled on the table.😙 👌🏽

Hidden Gem! This little tucked away restaurant is ON POINT! I have missed eating Vietnamese food regularly since moving away from Houston and I am THRILLED to find this place! Love the laid-back ambiance; portions sizes are generous, and service is excellent. I got the vermicelli with pork, mama’s eggrolls, and the passion fruit black tea. Definitely trust the reviews for this one and don’t miss it!

Great place to eat! I’ve been coming for the past month consistently. So much so, they remember my order every time I come in. I had a great time talking to the servers, we even joked a few times. I was checked on multiple times and the view of their LED lights are beautiful. Great service, great aesthetic, and great food💕💕💕

I am Completely SOLD on their Bahn sandwich!!! I got the beef one and the flavor is AMAZING! Just a little tickle of spice with crunchy veggies! Cucumber slices,carrots slices,jalapeno slice(you can always ask for this off your sandwich). Both me and my man both did the "mmm hmmm" shake with our heads after the 1st bite lol. The size is HUGE so for the price of two is great! Can't wait to come back and try the other dishes here! By the way,went to pick it up and the inside decor was pretty cool! Nice employees greet you as soon as you enter. WARNING : Make sure to order from the correct location!

Wow! Where do I begin? I love to try a different restaurant every time I go out of town.
I usually Google near by restaurants, look at the menu check out some reviews, and prices. They have 4 locations in Houston. This one is Pho Barr and is a new location it just opened up in League City.
This place did not disappoint.
I ordered the vermicelli bowl which is my go to when having Vietnamese food in the summer.
(In colder weather it's the pho and Ramen season.)
The portions was enormous, vegetables where fresh and crisp, the beef seasoned perfectly, and the noodle were cooked to perfection. I also ordered a Vietnamese Frappe, it was awesome it tasted like tiramisu soo good.
I give this restaurant out of 10.

Great restaurant with a great environment, staff, and food. We had the pork spring rolls as appetizers but didn't grab a picture before we devoured them. They were delicious. I had the grilled chicken rice plate which was amazing. My husband had the pork rice plate and he enjoyed his as well. I honestly think this is my favorite pho place. We will definitely be back.

Grabbed the pho ga, a pork banh mi, the vermicelli plate with beef, and the beef spring rolls for takeout. The pho ga was very good (8.5/10), the banh mi was excellent (8/10), and the vermicelli plate was also quite good (8/10). The beef spring roll was not great and I will pass on that next time. Prices were reasonable and the service was friendly and prompt. I will be back here soon.

My teenage grandbabies took me to Pho Barr because this is one of their absolute favorite places to get pho. The menu had several dishes and foods to choose from and everything we ordered was gone in no time. The Barr is quiet, clean, comfortable, and friendly. Great place for great pho.
