My go-to for birthday cakes. I love Asian cakes since they aren’t as sweet, but I’ve never had anything bad from here. Everything is delicious and prices are reasonable considering the quality and time that goes into making everything.

Big variety of baked goods from beautifully designed cakes to pizza bread, (which is so delicious that it can be eaten cold and I NEVER eat cold pizza) and so much more in-between. Customer service is friendly and helpful. Definitely a go-to place for yummy desserts and breads.

I buy cakes here all the time for all kinds of occasions. Best cakes. You can order cakes or walk in and usually there is a cake available to take with me. All of their cakes are delicious and pretty. The cakes are always eaten up quickly by guests. Not slice left at the end.

We Love ❤ this bakery. I first found them when I worked in Bellevue. We were over joyed they were in Lakewood as well. We go about once a week. The staff is always friendly! Everything is fresh and amazing!

Stopped by to pick out a cake for my anniversary and I will absolutely be returning for more soon. The cake was moist and delicious and the presentation was beautiful. The staff was kind and friendly (I walked through the wrong door upon entering, but was politely redirected). The cakes and pastries were laid out beautifully and everything looked almost too good to eat. Worth every penny!

If you want something uniquely special and beautiful, yet reasonably priced, then come here. I bought a delicious chocolate fruit cake for my husband's birthday, and it was so carefully and artfully decorated with strawberries and kiwifruit on it. The cake itself was very light and airy, but not dry and not too sweet either, which was just perfect. I don't particularly like cake but I had 2nds! The lady who helped me was super nice and talked me into the appropriate size (because I was just going to get the biggest one), for which I was truly grateful for her guidance in retrospect because I don't *need* to be eating more than a reasonable amount of cake. ;-) Just go here, you won't be disappointed you came.

Absolutely my favorite bakery in all of pierce county. I haven't visited them all yet, but I have been to quite a few and this one is hands down best of them all. Melon bread from Boulangerie is quite possibly the greatest thing ever created by human hands. If it were up to me it would be on the state flag. I would wear shoes made of melon bread. I would name my first born child melon bread if he wasn't already named after my grandfather before we discovered how good it is. I have officially changed my preferred method of exiting this world from dying in an explosion to death by melon bread.

Boulangerie is a Franco-Korean bakery located in the Pal Do shopping complex, and one of the best bakeries in Tacoma.

If you need a cake for adults, their cakes topped with glazed fruits are one of the BEST options in the city. Flavors include strawberry, vanilla, mocha and green tea. Prices are excellent: small cakes that serve about 6-8 are just over $20, and they pack the cakes in beautiful, handled boxes with a plastic cake cutting knife. They'll ask if you need candles, and how many, and that is included in the price.

You will find traditional Franco-Asian prepared pastries here: macaroons, pastries filled with chestnut, bean paste or cream, sugar cookies. Example of sugar cookies here: pink shortbread with real cherry bits speckled throughout, a classic icebox-type chocolate & plain cookie in a square checkerboard design (great for a tea party), and palmiers.

I wish they offered things like apple filled croissant or even plain croissant - but ultimately I respect that Boulangerie stays true to the Asian aesthetic and the things you find in these types of bakeries in Korea, Japan or China. (This really points to the lack of a proper traditional French bakery in Tacoma)

In closing I must mention their sandwiches. They have the type of sandwiches one sees in a fusion bakery of this kind: egg salad, ham, sometimes tuna salad - heavy on the Kewpie-style mayo - on delicious egg bread. Again, very reasonable at about $5 or less for a whole sandwich. They're in a fridge by the register and often sell out.

Great selection, affordable prices, and impeccably polite Korean staff! Will definitely come back to try more freshly baked goods.

Donut twists with cinnamon and sugar, buttery garlic sticks, tapioca bread with walnuts, hotdog with white bread and crumbs on top (my favorite), and a pastry with cream and peach filling.

They had a strawberry roll as well for like $8 but I'm not into pudding or whip cream and biting into that I personally disliked it but my mom thinks it's perfect.

I tried the macaroons for the first time ever but again not into creme filling so I disliked it but tasted fresh and feintly sweet.

What I will definitely come back for is the fresh baked bread rolls though, they were to die for! So that and hotdog in a bun are quite delicious in my opinion but everyone has different tastes.

I adore Japanese melon pan and tried their version; harder, sweeter, and a cream cheese filling that I'm not into but you might find you like it.

Still, I would definitely recommend; very clean and a nice fusion taste, something's bound to appeal to you! (^_~)

My (now) ex in-laws are Korean and got hooked on Paldo Worlds traditional birthday cakes from their bakery…
have been ordering them for years every b-day both daughter’s have had.

Great unique bakery items. Cakes are the best in the area. Korean with French influence (hence the name).

Holy cow!!!! Never tried macarons before so I decided to give it whirl. Bought a variety set and ohhhh man!!!! It melted in my mouth and the filling had a cool-like filling... It was like my tase buds said "thank you" and after I was done I whispered "you're welcome". This spot definitely set the bar high for macaron journey!

Everything is so delicious here! We are hooked on the chocolate cake topped with fruit and chocolate shavings.

Best macarons I've ever had and great customer service. The cakes are delicious as well. I try to come at least once a week because their macarons are so addicting!

Best large cream puffs ever! They're called something else but huge cream puffs are out of this world scrumptious.

We were craving sweets when we were traveling back home from Seattle. We found this place on Google maps. Loved the variety selection of pastries and cakes and bread.
