Homewood Suites by Hilton Newark-Wilmington South Area

Was a cozy experience I would love to enjoy again!

Most of the staff was overall friendly, Dawn at the front desk was just the sweetest, she was extremely welcoming and helpful with all of my family's needs.

The shower had a few quirks like the shower head base coming loose and the curtain never staying in place. But honestly I wasn't bothered at all by any of it.

The entire experience at this location was absolutely lovely and I definitely plan to return!

The staff at this particular location the whole entire team, specifically ms.Daffney afforded me and my family the best experience that could be asked for.with that being said I didn't just feel like a customer they made me feel at home.i recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a home away from.thank you Homewood suites

Omg my boo booked us a room at the Hilton (Homewood Suites) and let me say this I am super impressed ! Upon entering it was beautiful very clean and it had a very relaxing feel to it ! The lady (Monica ) who checked us in truly went above and beyond ! She was very professional super friendly and very helpful! She answered the majority of my questions before I could even ask them ! Our room is amazing it is clean and super comfortable! I will definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends ! I wish I could give more stars I don’t feel 5 is enough !

After reading all those reviews I was somehow scared. I was expecting some medieval hotel or something. Let me say the hotel is dated but not that much. Let's start with the bad parts:
- some channels in the TV didn't work - no signal?
- the dishwasher was loaded when we arrived. The dishes could be in the cabinets
- no bowls in the kitchen. Small or large. So forget about eating soup, cereal or making a salad or pasta..
- the mugs were very small... We ended up using the paper cups.
- the pillows were really small !!
The good parts:
- my room was huge with sofa
- the TV was modern and like 65 inches
- the staff was great. The cleaning ladies were very helpful.
- the mattress was ok. It was soft but core was firm.
- the breakfast was ok. At least there's fruit and porridge. So healthy options are available.
- they had a sort of complementary snack / dinner on Wednesday when I arrived around 5pm. Not sure about the other days.

I stayed with my family and we had a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite, as well as a 1 bedroom suite.The hotel itself is gorgeous, very clean, quiet, and definitely makes you feel at home. They have an indoor swimming pool which is a plus for people with children or someone just looking to relax. They serve a full breakfast that is pretty tasty I might add and a delicious dinner 3 times per week. The 2 bedroom suite I stayed in had a full kitchen with a stove complete with dishes, pots, and cooking utensils, dish washer, and full size refrigerator. Each bedroom has its own bathroom with shower in it for convenience. There's a king size bed in 1 of the rooms and 2 doubles (I think) in the other, as well as a living room area with a pull out sofa. Rooms are very clean and staff was nice.

Hard to beat their service. I booked a King suite and I got upgraded for free to a 2-bedroom suite, which had one BR with two queens and one with a king bed. Each BR had its own TV and bathroom. And there was a living room with a sofa bed and another TV. This would be a great place to stay for a large family or friends traveling together. The kitchen came equipped with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, and cups/plates/bowls/utensils for 4 people. The free breakfast was great (including the freshly-baked blueberry muffin), and the staff was very friendly.

This place is my new favorite spot to stay when I'm in the area. The place is very comfortable and they allow pets which is even better. Everything about this hotel is awesome! Prices, staff, service, and the food they serve is very good. It took me for suprise when I saw the room had a full kitchen with the dishwasher. My kids fell in love with this hotel room too.

My company put me up in this hotel for a night, however, the room I stayed in could have very comfortably housed me for weeks if not months. It had a full kitchen with stove, sink, fridge and microwave. There was a little living room, and two queen size beds. It was beautiful!

We stayed here for about two weeks while waiting to close on our new house. I can say a lot of good things about this hotel, but by far the best thing about it is the restaurant staff! They are such a warm group of women who truly know the importance of hospitality! We received such personal attention that we felt like family. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Nice rooms, basically a comfortable little studio apartment. Kitchen has a half driven small but proper fridge, decent assortment of tools and dishes. TV can be swiveled for bed, couch, or desk viewing. Wifi is pretty reliable for a hotel.
Only complaint is no tub, just a shower.

We were very satisfied during our stay here. The rooms are spacious, tastefully furnished, and clean. The staff was very helpful and kind. We would definitely stay here again and will look for Homewood Suites during future travels.

I love this place. It's a family type hotel. It may not be a 5 star but it gets 5 stars from me any day. The staff is great, facility is clean, warm cookies that welcome you upon arrival, and a hot breakfast in the morning is priceless.

Blankets were lovely. Our suite was expansive. Amenities including refrigerator stove and of course coffe pot. King size mattress incredibly comfortable,did the i mention the lovely blankets and fluffy pillows. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of delctibls. Enjoyed coffee and the morning paper. Will be coming back next time im in Newark DE for sure!

Rooms are always tidy with the necessary items to prepare and store your own food. Staff is always extremely friendly and accommodating. Won't stay at any other hotel!

so nice the man working in the night was very nice and kind. He helped me find smoething fun to do. and Eli was so so so nice. He made a reservation of taxi instead of me. I’ll stay once again if I go to Delaware

This hotel was nothing short of perfect, and this has been my 3rd year here. The staff is very friendly, and all your expected amenities are available. Many places to eat and refuel around the area, would definitely recommend.

The room was clean, the shower hot, the bed comfy. There was really no complaints. And the location was perfect.

Great staff. Very clean and quiet for being so close to campus. Did not see any gluten free food options at dinner. However, we did not really expect any.

The staff was very nice, the room was quite large and very clean. Does serve hot breakfast which was nice.
