This place was absolutely amazing Mrs Danielle and Dr Mitchell were great ... Showed real compassion to my 80 y/o Deaf father , and I really appreciate that. Their ER etiquette was Amazing. When it comes to Bayhealth I recommend this place if you want someone to treat you who cares. Id come here any day .... THEY ARE AMAZING !!!!!!!

Staff, nurses, and doctors are great. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait, depends on who was there before you and how severe their situation. We are all only human, they try their best there. In my opinion, you could not ask for a more friendlier group of people they are very professional and caring.

I've had a problem urinating and having bowel movements. Haven't had one in a week. Pulled, up to ER it's about 4 Am, after a few questions, they took me right in. Everybody has been extremely nice.

I wanted to send a special shout out to nurse Nicola (nickie) Harrington. My family and I cannot thank her enough for her professionalism and thoughtfulness. We can only hope there would be more like her. Thank you!

I just recieved 9 stitches in two fingers by the PA Isabelle Toni. This woman was fantastic, so sweet, she calmed my nerves and did a beautiful job stiching up my mangled wounds. Compassion is important especially when dealing with stressed out patients like me and I am so grateful. The whole staff was lovely from the minute I arrived to being discharged, I actually left there feeling happy about my experience. Thank you guys, you're the best!

Awesome staff ! My wife has been there more times than I can count. Always recieved the best care . Professional and friendly. If she needed to be transferred to Dover KGH for admission they took care of everything. 5 stars isn't enough but thats all Google would let me give . We as a community are blessed to have these dedicated people here . Thanks to all of you

Having to go to the ED is never fun - departments are often understaffed and overworked, patients are at a significant low point or are visiting because they’ve no alternate care plan - it can be hard for both patient and providers. Working in healthcare, I’m especially critical when I see things being done wrong but I was pleasantly surprised with my experience here though!

Came in via ambulance and brought straight to a bay. All the nurses were very kind, thorough, and thoughtful for my condition. The doc on duty that day (Aamer Khan) was amazing - empathetic and knowledgeable.

Registration folks were efficient and very nice too. Happy that I wasn’t over-treated with unnecessary tests and I felt like I had input in my treatment.

I was quickly assessed for life threatening issues, stabilized, and sent on my way for follow-ups, all with kindness. Couldn’t ask for a better ED experience.

I am quite pleased with the staff at this facility. They all are pleasant and answer my concerns. Nurse Nikki, Dr. Schnitzel, Jason and nurse Eli were all wonderful my last visit. I know people suggest to go to the "bigger" hospitals, but this is in my backyard and has that home-time feel and care.

My Husband was seen in the Emergency Room on Thursday, January 24, 2019. From the time we waked in the door to the time we exited, our experience was incredible!! The person that checked us in was pleasant and was more than willing to help me get my husband registered, since he was not able to talk. The Triage Nurse helped us ensure that we had a complete listing of his current medications and our wait time was minimal. The highlight of this visit was our encounter with Alexandra Pease, PA-C. Alexandra treated my husband as if he was her family member. She promptly diagnosed him and made sure that he was always informed regarding her plan of care. Her bedside manner is to be commended!! Towards the end of my Husband's visit, when it was determined that he would not need to be admitted, Alexandra was concerned that I would not have time to get his prescriptions filled (since it was 8:30pm an the Pharmacy closed at 9pm) so before she discharged him, she quickly prepared his prescriptions so that I could run to the pharmacy while he was being prepared for discharge. My Husband is at home recovering and I am so thankful for the team at the Smyrna Bayhealth ER. We are so fortunate to have such a caring team of professionals providing care in our community!! Thank YOU!!!

Went in the middle of the night for crushing chest pain, neck, jaw, and chest pain. I was taken in immediately and hooked up to EKG. I was having a heart attack, but they got me stabilized immediately. Nurse Anna-Kay was AMAZING and took incredible care of me all night while Kent General was trying to get a bed for me. Saw multiple techs and nurses as well as the doctor, all were professional and supportive. They saved my life. I can't put it any other way.

Sorry everybody had such a hard time looking at the reviews below. I went on April 17th on a Saturday at 1 in the afternoon and was treated like I was the only one there. They took such care of me from the checking in to the nurses that brought me in the ER the doctor that followed up. They did a few extra test to make sure that I was okay. I would highly recommend going there if you need medical assistance. To the staff I say thank you so much for your empathy and professionalism! Greatly appreciated. Kp

From reading the other reviews, I feel like I went to a totally different place lol. But yeah the girls at the front, or the techs doing our vitals arent exactly the nicest, and sometimes a lil rude. However this past year one of their doctors and his nursing team saved my life TWICE. I don't Kno what the other doctors are like, but I Kno I wouldn't be here without them.

They took good care of my family member, RN Alisson was the best.
I need to update this review,
I was here last Sunday with pain an severe nausea and vomiting due to kidneys stone and I would like to mention how proffessional with good attitude and wiiling to help patients nurse Sherry was , she did everything she could to make me feel better and stop the pain and vomit that I had,the doctor working with her was very nice person that cares about the patients.
I really appreciate that,I went home sadly I had to come back the next day and another nurse took care of me, this time RN Eli, Eli is the best of the best, boy he cares about people health for real.Thats what I have to say for now.
Sincerely
Frank
