El Azteca Mexican Restaurant

Holy steak fajita. The restaurant was clean and inviting. Went to the bar to sit and eat. The bartender Danilo was awesome. Attentive and funny. Had the potatoe fajita and wow.. delicious!! My friend had the shirmp chimichangs and yhey were delicious. Also tried the margarita flight. Frozen pomegranate was the best with peach as a strong second. Everyone was helpful and kind. Definitely a great place for date night or girls' night.

Best Mexican restaurant in Delaware!! Been my favorite for over two years now! Angel is the best server and the margaritas are great!! All their food is awesome from their cheese dip, tacos, fajitas, and more! When you go ask for angel!!

One of our favorite places to eat in Middletown,DE food generous portions of tasty food, cold drinks but don't be in a hurry because lately the staff is not! The acoustics are a lil off as it always seems 'too loud' even when only a few tables are filled

I came here on the spur of the moment for lunch for the first time and was very glad I did. I had the fried Chicken Chimichangas with rice and thought it was very good. Service was excellent and very attentive. I would recommend coming here and will definitely be coming back!!!

I ate at the bar. Very comfortable. Food came out fast and hot. Bartender was great and very friendly. The food was perfect. Will definitely go back.

I was told by staff this place opened in February of 2020 and I wish I found out sooner. My sister and I order the dip sampler for an appetizer with the choriqueso, guacamole, and plain queso. We loved them all. Next we ordered the flight 10 sample margaritas in flavors: blue curacao, strawberry, mango, & peach. The mango was too sweet for us but our favorites were the strawberry and peach. She order the trio tacos with tilapia, shrimp, and steak. I ordered the texas fajitas. We both loved our meals and would order the same thing again. The only con was the fish was a bit too salty. I ordered flan to go and haven't tried it yet. Our waitress was very nice and we will definitely recommend this place and can't wait to return.

We come here regularly. Our family loves the food and the service is good. The waiters are friendly.

I was here for a private event. The food was delicious, and the service was great! I will be back.

OMG!!! Today I tried the fried oysters and ceviche (tilapia) but also ordered fried plantains with sour cream and beans. Everything that I have tried here is soooo good. So far I can definitely recommend the fried oysters, ceviche, molcajete, and fajitas. 100% recommended!

The food was really amazing and the restaurant had a sports bar to watch soccer⚽

Great spot. Prices so much better than the other Mexican locations in middletown. Bar is fun too.

COVID clean!
My daughter and I visited this authentic Mexican restaurant about 3 weeks ago. Sorry for delayed review.
We are just beginning to eat out and this restaurant was our first indoor since COVID began.
Upon entering its clean and not your typical Mexican cluttered decor. No offense as I’m Hispanic. Place was clean and modern. Hostess was pleasant. We were seated across from bar at back of restaurant and if I wasn’t the solo driver, I may have had an alcoholic beverage.
I must add, they had about 4 large Margarita makers that looked like the frozen beverage machines at convenience stores. Yum! Not sure what flavors but looked quite appealing. Maybe next time! Bar area was also modern and clean!
My daughter and I knew what we wanted. It was late and we were hungry so why wait on initial foreplay? However, like traditional of most Mex restaurants, we were served free Chips & Salsa. Very delish and fresh!
I ordered Street Tacos (2 Chix & 2 beef); my daughter ordered Taco Salad. (Sorry again, forgot to take pix! 😕). Both meals were delicious and well flavored. Great portion. Only negatives is they used more refried beans than Meat as filler in Salad. Ask for more meat than bean. And don’t expect the bowl, which is a fried flour tortilla, to be filled to top. It was just under 1/2 full. For us it was enough . Just warning ya!
We would’ve gotten dessert but we were full! And as always, we were hankering for DQ ice cream. But again, when we return, oh yes we will return, hopefully we will get dessert!
Overall, we enjoyed food and prices were reasonable. Just don’t take home chips and salsa. They charge you for it!

We are familiar with the brand from down south and are thrilled to welcome them home to Middletown!! The building is new and beautifully decorated. The bar is separate space from the dining area and we still get a patio which is exciting. The food is top notch as we know to expect. The drinks, I could wax poetic for hours on the glory of the drinks, you deserve a prime margarita on the rocks! Come thirsty! And it goes without saying the staff are simply divine! Everyone in the house is treated like family, they care about their craft and it shows. We are thrilled they’ve joined the scene. Bien Vientos mi amigos!!!

Sat and had a couple delicious Margaritas at the bar.... Chips are delicious, service was excellent

I love coming to this restaurant, all the workers are very sweet, efficient, and accurate. The food is always consistent all long with the service! I highly recommend this place for a good authentic meal!

I got 3 tacos and nachos to go. Awesome amount of food and really great taste. I live a hour away and will definitely be back
