Sonesta ES Suites Wilmington - Newark

Overall I had a great experience here. Of course with any hotel you have some issues.. during my stay there were never enough shower towels, id ask for 3 and only be sent with one. Our pull out couch had mouse poop in it. Which I was refunded $50 for, I cleaned it myself and we went about our stay. The ceiling had a small leak in it which didn't leak during our stay but it is stained on the ceiling. Breakfast is a competition with people who are on jobs that have a big group staying... Most days there was no breakfast for my family 😔 but the breakfast area was nice for the ones who were able to actually enjoy it. Rooms were really clean, no bugs!! Which is a big thing for me. Rooms were huge too!! I would love to stay here again! Despite my issues I feel as though I was compensated and taken care of!

I went to visit my husband for my birthday here. The room was SO CUTE! Quiet. No couples arguing next door. Elegant pool. It's a very nice place to stay.

Before I go into my review, I will say that the the young lady working at the front desk named Mia, is very awesome. She's 100% professional, but still gives off a sweet vibe. I did have a concern initially about my stay, but she was able to correct the situation and put a big smile on my face. I really appreciated Mia's Customer service. A big thumbs up!!
Ok..so This location gives off an apartment complex/motel complex type of vibe from the outside.. but on the inside, it's similar to a candlewood Suites or a Hilton home2suites..It has a full kitchen including stove/microwave, oven, dishwasher, full refrigerator and lots of cabinets, which is a plus for me because I like to cook my own food on the road and save money from eating out all of the time. The bathroom and room itself,was very clean and spacious. The bed was comfy and big, and the sofa was a plus.. I like the fact that housekeeping does not come banging on the door every day, but you can get extra towels and linens from the front desk if you need to.. my building was very quiet and I was able to get lots of rest. My only issue is that the security deposit for the room is $250, not $150 like it says on booking.com so make sure you have enough money on your card to cover that fee.. other than that, next time I'm in Delaware I'm booking a room there for sure..

This was a lovely stay. The room was spacious, clean, updated, and had a very comfortable bed. The kitchen had just enough essentials too. We loved the pool and spent a lot of time there. The breakfast was hot and had a decent variety of quick options. The place was completely booked but it was still very quiet at night. I would stay here again.

This hotel is an apartment style, extended stay place. Our room had two queen beds, a bathroom (toilet and shower) and an open area with the sink. Small table to eat at, full size fridge, oven, microwave, and dishwasher. There's also an area with a TV and couch, plus an extra chair. Great size for 3 adults and 2 kids. breakfast choices were small, but that may be because the hotel is being renovated currently. The exercise room and pool were open, but we only went to the pool. The pool was outdoor, with about 20 chairs, and 3 tables. Very nice, but there was no shower area or bathroom nearby; had to go back to our room. All the workers are very nice, and the service was fast. Would definitely stay again!

Had a very nice stay here we stayed for only 1 night but the rooms were huge very clean with a full kitchen king sized bed and a couch with plenty of room to move around the layout of the place was kind of confusing but not to bad but for the price this was a great place to get away for a night

Right off the highway! Suite was amazing booked it for my child's birthday I had his 3 close friends him and I and this place was very spacious the boys had their room I had a stairway up to my room and I'll be back . The pool was the perfect temperature and my boys enjoyed the basketball courts they had on the property . Will book and be back again for sure !

The rooms are BEAUTIFUL!!! Very comfortable bed!!!! It felt like home!!!! Loved the fully equipped kitchen! The staff was really nice and welcoming. THE BREAKFAST was a very pleasant surprise!!!! I will definitely be back! I highly recommend this property for a short or extended stay!!! Loved it!

This is a great hotel. It feels like a home away from home. If you are looking for a more apartment feeling stay I suggest this place. There is very friendly staff that are seen only when I requested or needed. It's in a generally quiet area. You don't have to face the breakfast and less you want to and no one's knocking at my door asking me to do housekeeping at 9 in the morning.

I drive for Uber ain't took a passenger to this hotel. Did not go inside but it looked very nice and very clean. Also the clientele that say they're looked to be like decent people. If I was ever in that area again I may consider staying there. if I do I will update my review in regards to this hotel.

I stayed for 3 days 2 nights and i was very comfortable and satisfied with my stay. The rooms were very clean and had plenty of room for my family and i. The area was very quite and peaceful area. I was very satisfied with the security in the area as well. Breakfast was incredible. I was referred to this Hotel by employee Erin Smith. I will recommend and refer friends and family as in the future.

We love our stay the rooms are very good and the service's was very good I love there pool and breakfast was delicious I can't wait to go back again

I've been staying extended stay due to my job and I love it. Their full kitchen is great so you can cook a meal instead of having to eat out all the time. I would definitely recommend this place for anybody that needs a place to stay longer than usual if you're from out of town.

Had to stay out of town for a few weeks. Super clean, staff was wonderful. Free breakfasts were decent. Guest laundry on site. Located near enough to the mall without getting stuck with mall traffic about a mile away)

The staff here are incredible, the property is clean and spacious. They are service oriented and so professional. They are pet friendly...💖

We were traveling and needed a place to stay for the night. This hotel was very comfortable and very reasonable. Had a good nights sleep and a very satisfying breakfast in the morning . Which is included in the price. And did I mention a quiet restful sleep.

It's rare that a business really impresses me but this place was amazing! The price for the quality was outstanding. So much more than I expected! I Love the atmosphere of the main office/dining area. The staff was great!! We will absolutely remember this place since we travel this way all the time and I can guarantee we'll be back!!!!

I’m a travel nurse and I have to stay at a lot of hotels and motels and abnb. I checked into the Sonesta ES on Sunday April 5 2020. To my dismay I’d been given some incorrect information in reference to payment. The young lady that checked me quickly found a temporary resolution to get me checked in so I could get settled. She told me to reach out to the manager Tasha Drummond with my concerns which I did the very next day. Tasha was very accommodating and she became my go to person for everything, she even gave me her personal number so she could assist me with any and all issues. My stay there was stellar. Corporate should be very proud of the managerial staff. My contract has ended. I had family with me. I always do when I travel. So travel nurses if you’re a traveler with family I recommend Sonesta ES Wilmington/Newark. You won’t find a more family/pet friendly place to stay. It’s truly a home away from home!! I’d rate it 100 stars ⭐ If I could. Thank you Tasha Drummond😘
