Johnson's Sterling Market

So many great local products at reasonable prices. The produce, deli items and meats are dependably fresh and if at all possible, locally sourced from within the state. The staff is friendly and efficient and it is always a good time stopping in to shop and converse with our neighbors. Supporting small businesses is such an integral part of the Vermont experience, and I will continue to choose to exclusively grocery shop where I know that my money is going to my community. Support local!! Every single aspect of this grocery store far exceeds the experience to be had at a big box grocer.

Great store! Clean and well lit, they have a variety of goods and a wonderful deli with great sandwiches, salads and lots of good food. And the staff are friendly and personable. Nice place to shop.

Terrific store. They always have fresh bulk seeds, nuts, and oat groats. Their baked good are yummy, and their deli and hot food is consistently delicious. Highly recommend it.

A lot in a small store! From special dietary products (gluten-free, daiya cheese), to good produce section, and locally grown products and goods. Convenient location, good parking, and liquor store as part of the market. Great for vacationeers to the area too!

Sterling Market is a wonderful small town grocery (& now also a State liquor outlet) store. It is well managed and is staffed by a cordial and helpful crew. Johnson, Vermont, is fortunate to have it.

As an ethical consumer, this is the one place I rely on to find socially conscious products. I've driven a half hour out of my way coming back from work just to shop here. Worth it.
