This place is really great for children. The in ground pool is a salt water pool and it's very nice. They keep it pretty clean. There's a playground and game room. We camp out when we go. The regulars are respectful and nice. It's an all round good place.

We love camping at Big Oaks. Great family-owned campground with friendly staff. It is convenient to pretty much everything in Rehoboth, beach, shops, and restaurants. Walkable distance to wawa and other restaurants. Bike trails are half a mile away. We've stayed here multiple times and always look forward to coming back.

Wonderful spot to stay with the family for a beach weekend, take a bicycle with you and use the trails to get to the beach and avoid parking (and traffic) the pool was a very clean Salt water pool with the attached shower facilities being very clean. Very pleasant and helpful staff, make sure you have some cash handy as the store doesn't take cards and is a cash only operation. The reservation system is delightfully old school and once you get there, it feels like a well kept secret you've discovered. The kareoke on Saturday nights was alot of fun and the kids wanted to spend more time at the pool than they did the beach! Would happily go again!

Great campground , very friendly and helpful staff , fellow campers were nice and friendly and help set our camper up , historic memorabilia in the store keeps the brain dead liberals and Karen’s away , will most definitely return

The staff is very helpful. The grounds are clean ad well taken care of. The campsites are nice sized, with a fire ring and picnic table and are well shaded. The campground has a quaint play ground for the kids and a nice clean pool. The bathroom facilities are kept clean also. Can't beat the price for the campsite even the cabins and other buildings you can stay in are nicely priced.

We rented 4 cabins this past week. We absolutely loved our stay. Cabins were clean and cozy. Pool was great. Bathroom and shower house were right next to us and were cleaned daily. The owners were great and very friendly. The General store is great and has many things to buy. Campground was very great location and so close to so many things. We will definitely be back again next year.

Friendly family run campground, quiet, easy in and out, close to Rehoboth and Lewes but in the woods and not on the main road.

My girlfriend and I tent out here for a 3 day weekend a few times a year. We love it.

Close to the beach and any stores you would need, plus good restaurants. $100 for a whole weekend compared to 2-300 for one night at a hotel. Cant beat it!!

Remember to bring something to keep away flies and bugs. They are bad on summer nights here.

We made a last minute decision to make a beach trip for the weekend.. They are very accommodating, bath house was clean. Pool was very nice. They are pet friendly and close to the beach or anything you need. They are very crowded and busy but everyone was quiet and respectful. The only negative about it was the mosquito's they are ridiculous. Would definitely come back!

We have been coming to this campground for a few years during the summer and now we are seasonal residents. This place is hands down one of the best campgrounds on the eastern shore. We have pulled our travel trailer to just about every campground in the Ocean City and Delaware area. They are very friendly and the location to boardwalk is amazing. They have nice amenities for the kids and the karaoke they do is great for the kids. If you have a travel trailer or looking for a place to tent camp I would highly recommend this campground.

Our family wanted to find a campground to build memories at. We are so glad we went to Big Oaks! Basically the last campground left in the area, the diamond still stands strong! We personally spoke to the owner and greatly appreciate his commitment and honor to his family’s history and business!
The campground is clean, the bathrooms are individual and very nice with rain shower heads! There is a wicked pirate ship when you come in that the kids will love, and another for them to play on at the playground. The pool is clean and the staff is very friendly and incredibly helpful.
Also, bring some bikes- there is a trail that takes you right to beach! It is gorgeous- and another awesome highlight of its location.
The Saturday night DJ was awesome as well! Everything starts and ends on time.
End of the day, this is a straight good old American camping experience! My family decided this is now our spot for the rest of our days for years to come!

Pleasant surprise, the bathroom by my site appeared to almost brand new, the bathroom was cleaned regularly too. The price on a weekend was an unbelievable value, about half what I paid on the Jersey shore on a weekday. Definitely coming back next summer.

We always camp at Big Oaks when we come to the beach. We have tent canned for multiple years but recently upgraded to a pop up camper. We love that Big Oaks is shaded throughout and they allow dogs. The bath houses are cleaned regularly. There is a nice pool and store within walking distance to any camp site. You can bike to the beach on the trail about a mile down the road and you can catch the bus right at the campground.

What a wonderful place!! I was already impressed minutes after arriving- I needed to ext my stay by 1 day due to softball tournament sched change & they were able to accommodate! We were given an employee who not only guided us to our spot but also seamlessly backed us in (while my husband drove). The bath houses are always clean (though I don't like the knobs that have to be held down so u don't have a free hand), & well lit w/ample showers. They have a camp store on site, they have a trail going straight to the beach & events planned most weekends! Overall the atmosphere is friendly and communal. It seems fam owned & fam/friend operated, which I always appreciate. My only concern is the payment process; if u req a deposit I strongly suggest credit card usage. Our check got lost in the mail & even though they kept our reservation after calling to verify what happened, I still had to pay a cancel fee for the check 😞 Not their fault but it still sucks.

This was the first year we camped at this campground. At first we were hesitant about how close the sites were. However after finding out the campground was founded in the 60's we understood. We were so satisfied with our stay before we left, we decided to book for next year. Friendly staff, great amenities and fun activities. Great place for the entire family.

My family and I were just there for 3 nights and rented a mobile home. It was perfect in every sense of the word. The staff is amazing, the home itself was clean and the fact it had a washer and dryer was a HUGE help and a full kitchen saved us a ton of money eating out. Building a fire every night was amazing for our kids and the memories will last a life time. The pool area is clean and well kept. We just can not say enough good things about this place. We have had such a wonderful time and will be back again and again after that. If I had to say one thing I didn’t care for is that our guests that stayed the day had to pay to get in. But other than that, it’s perfect and love this area!

This was my families first time at the campground along with good friends of ours. We absolutely loved it. My son spent most his vacation money in the store on the site. Our camp site was huge and right beside the single bathhouse only down fall was when it rained it came down but still a great site. Only bad part of the whole experience was the damn heat and humidity which was not fault of theirs. The kids had a blast riding the bus back and fourth from the beach, the playground and the independence of going to the store by themselves. Everyone was friendly and nice. They are very accommodating. When it stormed and the heat and humidity got the best of all of us, they were more then willing for us to "upgrade" to a cabin and just pay the difference. We are so excited to go back next year for a full week. Our friends and us actually reserved cabins for next year. Thank you Big Oaks for a great time!!!!
