Two-thirds of the way to The Dells for a 1-week vacation with my daughter and grandsons, I slide on the divider into a ditch trying to stop, as daughter was slow on the GPS. After phoning 9-1-1 for a tow truck (with a free policeman) we were on our way again toward our destination. Occasionally, I heard a scape on pavement, but since my car didn't register a problem we visited a few places for a couple days, before calling Hovelands to look beneath the care (after hoisting it up on their lift) to inspect it for the sound. Better safe than sorry.

He found the reason; it was a 'flash cover" I think he called it, that protected the part above from getting too hot or overheated. So, glad nothing was punctured and his reassurance saved me from worrying further.

Being in a state I had never been in before (other than picking my sister up from College in Madison) way back when, it can be unsettling to be in a strange place and need help of
any kind. Should we return to The Dells and ever I have a break down, at least now I know (by this kindness) who to entrust my car to again.

We are up from out of town on vacation. My daughters valve stem rotted off of her front tire. Also seen that her front tires were bald so we found Hovlands. They had 2 used tires for us and got us in right away. Extremely friendly staff! Thank God they are located close to the Dells. I highly suggest going there for service!

We called Hovlands after finding a wheel stud had sheared off and needed to be replaced. I can’t say enough about how fantastic they were. I’m so thankful they were able to get us in right away! The reception area was welcoming and cozy. A much needed respite for a family experiencing unexpected car problems. They truly care about their customers and it shows.

I have been very happy with the service at Hovlands. Today they went above and beyond when my daughter pulled in with a low tire. They took it off and checked it. There was no damage to the tire. They put it back on and filled it up all at no charge!

Very rare now days will you find such great and friendly service at an auto repair shop. What started out as a work offered program to get myself tires has landed me a trusted service provider.

We got stranded on vacation 3 hours away from home with 4 little kids and we were so thankful to have found Hovland’s! I called and they were able to get us back on the road within 4 hours. The office staff were amazing, they offered our kids movies and toys and hot chocolate while we waited. We were even able to get lunch at a nearby diner, called Stuff’s (which I recommend also!). Everyone’s positive and welcoming attitude made our unexpected delay a pleasant experience under the circumstances. Hovland’s was a God-sent blessing and we highly recommend to anyone!! Found myself at a basketball tourney in the Dells over 100 miles from home with a leaking tire from a screw and a short window before coaching at 730 in the morning. They could not have been more accommodating and friendly. Thank you!

I had a windowshield wiper randomly fall off, I drove in - Karen got the correct wiper ordered & delivered and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes! Can't ask for better local service than that!

Our family met in the Dells for a dinner show and our daughters tire had been giving her trouble for the past week. We thought it was a slow air leak. Every place in Baraboo and the Dells were booked. We called Hovlands Tire and oil and they said they would work it in. We took it there not knowing anything about them and praying they could fix her tire. When they took the tire off they found it was the wheel bearing was so bad they were surprised she made it there. We were worried because they were booked and only had time to repair a tire we didn’t know what we would do if it wasn’t done today. They got right to work. Their mechanic was efficient and had it fixed within a hour and a half. He took precautions checking her other tires and still making sure her tire was good to go. God blessed us by having all the other places booked so we had to go here. I would not hesitate recommending them to anyone. Thank you for the whole staff from the person who took our call and said yes bring it there to the ones calling around to find her parts and to the mechanic (I wish I knew his name) who fixed the wheel bearing. This is a big 10 out of 10 experience!!

Great experience, would use them again if we lived closer. Had tire issues on our camper trailer and they were recommended to us by the campground. They were very helpful, reasonably priced and did quality work! We even got our Tahoe tires replaced that's how much we enjoyed working with Karen and their crew. Thanks so much!

Got a screw stuck in our tire our first full day in the Dells. Called a few locations and was recommended Hovland's from another shop who did not have availability. Hovland's was able to take me at 8AM the next day. The staff there were so kind, the waiting area was so comfortable, and the pricing was right. So grateful for their assistance!

Was making a cross country trip from eastern seaboard to the midwest this past July in my 2000 Grand Cherokee. Car started having battery troubles and eventually learned the alternator was shot. This shop took me in on short notice and squeezed me in last minute. They made a million calls to see if there were any alternators that fit my car. I was in luck! I was still hours away from my destination. Fixed me up and got me out of there in a few hours. Couldn't ask for a better experience; EXTREMELY friendly staff. I'm pretty sure Manny fixed my ride up. Thank you to Manny, and everyone else!

They squeezed me in last second to help with a dire situation and did it right, raised awareness of additional issues, and provided solutions that were unbiased to their benefit.

Customer service was great. Multiple mechanics and members of management talked through everything with me and were very patient and down to earth with me... not condescending at all like you will run into with some places.

100% would recommend and will be returning with any future issues.

We were on our way to Seattle from Akron, OH. We were dismayed when a tire started losing air. Found Hovlands via Google search, thinking lots of $$$ and time. They did not try to sell me a set of tires. Instead, they patched the leak and had us back on the road in 90 minutes or so, even though they were quite busy with scheduled appointments. Huge thanks to Jamie for the repair and the very professional and courteous office staff (and the bathroom was unusually clean for a service shop.)

Was up in the La Valle area for the weekend, drove up from the south Chicagoland area. Started having some "charging system" issues. I called a few places and no one could get us in. We were up on our 6th anniversary with our kids with plans to take them to the waterpark for the day. Hovland was able to have me come drop off the car, and did everything they could to find a replacement alternator in the area. They spent over 45 minutes calling around part shops, dealers, even people they just knew might be able to help. They were able to have the part dropped off, I was able to go spend time with my family at the water park, and by the time the kids were done playing the car was ready. Can't thank them enough, Hovland turned what could have been a terrible anniversary weekend into a great, and safe, experience.

They did a great job getting my tires on my dodge 1500, I tried myself with a tractor and couldn't get the bead off the rim front the tire. They did all 4 tires and in a timely manner, thanks for the great work yall

I recently moved to the Dells area and was blessed to find the most welcoming mom and pop vibe mechanic shop, they are fast, reasonable priced, delightful employees, and Toby🐾❤

We were on our way to Winsconsin Dells and ended up with a flat tire. We got the spare on and got off on the next exit and stumbled onto this place. Even though they focus on trailers and trucks, they were able to plug our tire and get us on our way without backtracking to a regular tire repair shop. Very friendly and didn't charge a ton. They saved us for sure!

From out of state visiting the area and had a flat on my ‘run-flat’ tire. Of course, this was on a Sunday and no spare tire because car manufacturer didn’t provide a spare (or a place for a spare). Was able to limp to where we were staying and started calling around on Monday. 1st tire dealer I called wouldn’t work on run-flats, Hovlands was the next place and they said come on in. They removed the tire and determined the damage was not repairable. So, they installed a ‘loaner’ tire (who provides loaner tires!) - this saved our vacation; we were able to get around and stay on schedule to visit the sites we had planned, didn’t have to try to get a rental car (or the expense of a rental car) - the guys at Hovlands basically made what could have been a miserable vacation week into barely a ripple to our plans. They ordered the tire that day and it was in the next day and they got the new tire installed and we were back in tip top shape. Oh, and they worked us into their schedule without delay on our initial stop and when we came back for the new tire. Just a great bunch that took very good care of a couple from out of state. Highly recommended.

Went in for a routine tire chang and all hell broke loose. One customer stole my phone luckily I realized super fast and the staff jump up and assisted me calling the cops on the person. They were amazing "the staff and cops" !!! I got my phone returned and my tire changed the staff is so friendly and sweet and they have the cutest little doggie there. I would definitely recommend them because they are more than a auto shop they are great people.
