We stayed at sand valley resort during winter holidays. Such beautiful homes to stay in with lake views. There is sledding, ice skating, hiking and more. Customer service is amazing! Every person there could not be more helpful and made our stay amazing.

Place is fantastic. exceptional golf and facility. food on course was unbeatable. menu in bar was a little slim. We (group of 10) ate at Aldos on our final night. 6 meals came out over cooked. they did Comp it which was very nice, but would have rather had our food cooked correctly.
but overall, can't wait to go back.

Update: Aldo’s was fantastic, my boyfriend got the steak special and I got the scallop Alfredo which was also a daily special. Service was great. After, we got drinks at the bar and had great conversation with the bartender from Croatia, Patrick. The next day everything was amazing. Again, every employee we came in contact with was phenomenal. We golfed Mammoth which was truly one of coolest courses we have played. The people we golfed with were great and their caddy, Rome, was also super friendly. Although he wasn’t our caddy he took a couple of pictures for us and without asking gave us some advice as well. At the end of the round we tipped him for the kind gestures. After Mammoth, we played the Par 3 course, which was so unique and fun. We ended the day with dinner at the Green Fire BBQ which was very tasty. The golf pro addressed the below situation and was very kind and accommodating. Overall, we had an amazing trip and would highly recommend. We plan to be back!

This weekend my boyfriend and I planned a golf getaway to Sand Valley as we have heard amazing things about the resort and we are both experienced golfers who love doing the sport together. When we arrived everything was great, every worker we came in contact with was super helpful and friendly but unfortunately we cannot say the same about the 2 golfers and their caddy that we golfed with. We decided to bring our push carts and not hire a caddy which is what we normally do. The other group along with the caddy made us feel awkward and would blatantly ignore us when trying to make general conversation. We counted a handful of times they would stand right in front of us while hitting and we even had to say “okay we are going to hit now” so they would move. In addition, the caddy would walk up and put the pin back in right as we were about to putt. I understand we didn’t buy a caddy but was surprised on how he acted towards us. We understand that the resort can’t control how the other guest treat others but the how the caddy acted is just so unprofessional. This made us feel so unwelcome and ruined this amazing course for us. To make it even worse, at the turn my boyfriend and I took 5 minutes to go to the bathroom and we turn around and they are halfway through hole 10 without even saying anything. When the Marshall found out he was very nice and apologized for them. We had a lovely time on back 9 by ourselves. Such a frustrating experience for such a beautiful course. We are off to reservations at Aldo’s and have another full day of golf tomorrow. I will update my review if our experience improves.

Bravo Keiser family once again 👏🏻Sand Valley although relatively young is one of the countries must play golf resorts and is very affordable when compared to other juggernauts. I stayed 2 nights in Sand Box Loft played Sand Valley, Mammoth , Sandbox and The Lido. My caddies Palmer and Ben were very helpful and great to be around. Breakfast buffet at Aldo’s was phenomenal and the cheap food at Craigs porch really is nice gesture by the resort to keep costs down. With Sedge Valley officially opening next year and future courses on the horizon I cannot wait to come back in a few years to really see how much more this place can flourish.

The golf course is a gem! Sand Valley and Mammoth Dunes are challenging and fun! The course is a combination of manicured fairways lined with waste bunkers, and ending with fast undulating greens.

Everything about this place is spectacular! We had a bbq dinner catered to our cottage and it was delicious. They make the whole experience so easy and enjoyable. I do wish they had some RedVanley shirts in the proshop but maybe next year!

Not often I review golf resorts but I have to say this one is impressive. Certainly the the golf courses are challenging and marvels in design. The accommodations are first rate for almost any size group. However my best memory was the staff. So courteous, kind and helpful! Each seemed happy to be at Sand Valley in Nekoosa, Wi. Never heard of it? Neither had I probably because it’s way out there in central Wisconsin. Trust me though the people always make the place and the people employed here are outstanding.

Guys golf trip week of June 19, 2023. We loved both Sand Valley courses and really enjoyed the property. The entire staff was very accomodating and the service was great. We stayed on property and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Our caddies (Charles/John) were outstanding and very knowledgeable. Refreshing pricing for beers/food (bfst sandwich and a beer - $4 total. Same w hot dog / beer at the turn). Only thing missing is a giant hot tub after walking 18 holes. All in all - great trip and a good complement to visiting Erin Hills or the Kohler courses.

Played Mammoth today and it was an absolute joy! The course is in amazing condition and is so well planned. The staff are all absolutely amazing and on point with anything and everything you need! Getting Tacos from Porch is an absolute must, even if you're not playing SV. The cookies at the halfway house on Mammoth are absolutely worth it as well!

I cannot say enough about how good our caddie Zach was! He knew lines and had the speeds down pat! Knows the course history and is happy to talk about golf and just life in general! If you are headed to SV ask for Starkey!

Absolutely amazing and I cannot wait to go back and experience Lido next!

Fantastic experience. Our group of 8 was treated fantastically from the moment we arrived. Both championship courses are immaculate and the caddies were great. The little “care package” left for every guest was icing on the cake for me as I forgot sunscreen and bug spray and what was provided for us was just enough for our stay and I have yet to go on another golf specific trip where we were provided with something similar(our group has also gone to Pinehurst & Whistling Straits/Kohler). A+ experience and can’t wait to go back once the Lido is completed

Great golf. Accommodations are wonderful. Shuttle service between both courses were always no wait. On course food and beverage pricing were awesome. Minor complaint would be the slow service in bar area after our 2 rounds.

We ate outside, next to fire pit, and putting green. Service was great. Old fashions will rival Ishnalas! Rib eye best I have ever eaten. A little pricey but well worth it.

This is my 2nd time at Sand Valley and first time staying overnight. Started at the SandBox with a group of 8 and it was very fun. Some of the toughest greens I have seen but very enjoyable. Took the shuttle (never a wait) to Craig's Porch at Sand Valley for $1 tacos and $3 beers. Ran to tee off on Mammoth soon after and elected a caddy (junior) and that made the round very enjoyable. Not 1 lost ball, wide fairways makes it playable. Dined at Aldo's that evening and sunk into the perfect bed in the cottage soon after. Played Sand Valley in the morning and got my backside handed to me. I can keep up with the mileage but the elevation changes gave me heel blisters the size of a golf ball! All 3 courses are in phenomenal shape from tee to green but Mammoth takes it for me. Lido (4th course) is complete with only a handfull of public tee times per day. Preview play on Sedge Valley in a few weeks but that will soon be complete as well. They are booked solid 1yr+ so book now if you want to go! Bring the upmost comfy shoes and make sure you have been doing your cardio at home! They will take care of the rest.

My wife and I recently had our wedding at Sand Valley. Katie our wedding coordinator was amazing. In a time of businesses choosing to say "no" or "sorry we can't do that" she was the polar opposite. Anything we asked for was a yes and she was beyond accommodating in helping make anything happen we requested. The entire staff was professional, helpful, and truly amazing. The Chef for the night Chef Everette knocked the food out of the park. Never have we been to a wedding where we heard so many compliments on the food and not one complaint. Every guest was extremely pleased and raved about the amazing food. The venue was perfect, accommodations on site cozy and inviting, and the overall experience was truly the best it could have possibly been. We would HIGHLY recommend their beautiful location and amazing staff to anyone considering hosting a wedding there!! Kudos to truly finding "hospitality" in the hospitality industry!

I had a great trip to Sand Valley. I was impressed. The golf was fantastic. The amenities on par. I was particularly impressed with the food and beverage pricing. Yes, it is a premium resort but water was free, tacos at the turn were $1, beers were $3. It was very satisfying not to feel fleeced at every turn like I was on my last trip to Pebble. It was reminiscent of Augusta’s approach.

We had a family gathering of 10 and stayed in one of your 4 bedroom cottages. It was the kids weekend event. We loved every part of our stay! Everyone was super nice and helpful. The events kept the kids very busy and had such a fun time. The cottage was so beautiful and comfortable. We will be back!

Everything you’d want from a golf trip and more! Special shout out to Jeni from the reservations for making the booking experience super informative and efficient! As well as then organizing a special welcome gift package for my dog! Thank you Jeni and the rest of the Sand Valley team - can’t wait to come back.

This place is awesome! The staff was incredible. The facility was fabulous. And I absolutely loved the layout. My brother in law and I golfed Erin Hills earlier in the year. I would play this course again over that course! Put this on your "must play" list. You will not be disappointed.

This was my first time at Sand Valley. I played both Sand Valley and Mamoth Dunes. Both courses are in great shape. The greens are fast, but manageable. Hire a caddy. These guys know what they are doing and will definitely be an asset. Staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The room was spotless. I highly encourage anyone looking for a great golf experience to put Sand Valley on your list.

Sand Valley is golf in its purest form!

Courses: both courses are beautiful in their own ways! They are very playable with generous fairways. Sand Valley is a little tougher than Mammoth Dunes because of the greens (turtle shells vs bowls), but you can't go wrong with either. The Sandbox, their 17 hole par 3 is fun too. It has some of the most deceptive, challenging greens you can find.

Hotel: the rooms on property are very nice. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. There are quite a few different options throughout the property depending on the number of people in your group.

Food: all of the food was good, and very reasonably priced for a golf resort. We missed out on the famous tacos, but the fare at Aldo's was good.

Staff: they couldn't have been nicer and more professional. They put on a great event while we were there that was very organized. Also, the caddies we had were very good. Although they were in their first year, they knew the course well and tracked all errant shots.

Other amenities: while golf is the primary activity, they have beautiful grass tennis courts and hiking trails throughout the property.

If you're a golfer, put Sand Valley on your list! It's just like Bandon Dunes, but without the ocean (same ownership group).
