La Tolteca Authentic Mexican Cuisine

Israel and all of the staff at LaTolteca are so wonderful: fast, friendly service, food always hot and delicious! My fiancé has the same thing everything we go,but I like to change it up! I love the Varacruz Plate, sautéed shrimp, tomatoes, onions and mushrooms. One of my new favorites is the Birra Tacos...so, so delicious!! Taco Tuesdays..love 'em!!! The Margaritas are delicious!

Every time we visit the restaurant is a great experience. The food is always delicious!

We we’re at the different restaurants they are taking forever to give us drink. People that ahead of us are still waiting for their food. So we decided to look for Mexican Food and Thank God we did! The foods were sooo good arrived here and got our food for less than 10 mins. The service was great as always! Mexican restaurant never let you wait long and starve ❤

A hidden gem of the Portage restaurant scene. Atmosphere is fun and hospitable.

We were seated immediately the service was outstanding.

The menu is simply enormous and almost overwhelming, but in a good way. There were endless options of beef, pork and chicken cuisine. We went with pork carnita style soft shell street type tacos.

The meal was served so fast we hardly got to the chips and salsa provided. Impressive! The guacamole was simply delicious and perfect.

The portion size was above average for the price. The taste was explosively good and very fresh with large portion sides. You won’t leave this place hungry for sure.

The value for the price was very good. Combined with excellent quality and simply astonishing service, you’re in for a good experience here.

Hands down best restaurant in town and all around! Authentic! It’s never a disappointment! I can always count on my meal being 5 stars and an affordable price. On top of the great expierence they are extremely involved in the community. I’ve seen them involved in almost every community event if not all of them and give back to the people of this community individually and as whole! Will boast about La Tolteca forever. Always a great place! ❤ keep up the hard work!

Ps if your looking for something spicy Chili Colorado will not disappoint and for not soo spicy I recommend the Alambre or shrimp quesadilla fajita.

Delicious and consistent! The soup, tacos, burritos, daiquiries, fajitas, chicken and steak dishes are all wonderful. It's a fun place to dine.

Veggie Fajitas were great and the Texas Burrito was huge and Delicious!

I just had tacos, which are pretty blah; but everyone else had different meals and loved it. I'm a fussy eater, & was afraid to try anything different, so it's my fault. Had a couple of bites of my husband's burrito & that was very meaty & good! The service was great!

When you have a bad day, just come here, they will make you feel better. Alonzo, the owner is so personal and still professional. He is all about customer service. I ordered this dish for the first time and did not realize how hot the lime dressing would be. I felt awful that I could not eat it but he came to the rescue, listen to what I was expecting and boom. He successfully made exactly what I was wanting. Will forever recommend his place.

I have always had an enjoyable experience at La Tolteca. The staff was considerate and good was delicious. The mango margarita was excellent. There was laughter and talking with and amongst the customers.

La Tolteca has always been my favorite restaurant. The owner is incredibly nice as well as all of the staff. They create a fun and inviting environment and the food is absolutely amazing!!

Very nice place with good food. Full bar. Waiter did an amazing job getting orders right with a large group, most on different checks.

The best and only place to go for Mexican food in Portage. Flavorful food, awesome atmosphere, friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Wonderful atmosphere and great staff. This one one of those restaurants you can open up the menu, close your eyes, and drop your finger down on an entree to choose what you will eat and be confident that it will be fantastic.

We were blown away with the service and food! Within seconds of us sitting down, there were HOT tortilla chips and salsa set in front of us. There were great!
Service was friendly and polite. Food was amazing! The best seafood chimichangas I ever had! Everyone at our table loved their food also. Large portions and great prices too. A+
