Polynesian Hotel & Suites Wisconsin Dells/Lake Delton

I was a little hesitant on booking with this hotel after reading reviews but I'm glad I didn't listen to them. I have two 8 year old girls and the indoor water park was great for them. The deepest it got was 3'6 at the end of the slides. It flowed into 3'0 water and then flowed into 2'6 deep water (lazy river). I could be confident letting my girls swim by themselves without a lifejacket. I am not sure if they supplied them.The pool had 3 lifeguards as well. The first night i didn't go into the pool at all with my kids but the pool area had plenty of seating so i could sit and watch them from anywhere. It wasn't crazy hot so I was comfortable wearing street clothes and water shoes. The water was warm. We went in the winter months so I can't base our experience off of the summer months where you would have the outside pool open and tickets to Noah's Ark. The indoor pool area has a hot tub, a splash pad area, a body slide and a slide that you can go on with a single or double tube. A kiddie pool with 2 slides that my 8 year olds were able to go down with ease. They were not to big for them. The girls did say the bottoms of the kiddie pool slides were rough. They do have mats but the slides do have speed to them so sometimes they go further than the mats.
Mary, the lady working the front desk is very nice and was very accommodating. I had a question I needed answered before I checked in. She was going to let me in for an early check in to decorate a little for my daughter's birthday but we ended up getting a snow storm so didn't get there till regular check in. When I arrived there was a nice gentleman working that greeted me with a smile. He explained where the best spot to park was.
The room was nice. It had wood flooring, 2 beds and a fridge and microwave. The room smelled and looked clean. It had a patio that overlooked the outdoor lazy river. It probably would have been really convenient if it were summer. Perfect for my family of 4. My husband and myself and 2 girls. The entire hotel was clean. I do believe a saw a little laundry area. I did see a little arcade area online when i was researching the hotel but i did not see one when we were walking around. I'm not sure how old that picture was and if i just missed it or they took it out. Parts of the hotel are under construction but it didn't effect our stay whatsoever. I think it's going to be really nice when they are all finished. The snow was plowed from the parking lot so easy to get in and out. I did bring stuff for breakfast and sandwiches. I wasn't sure if they had a continental breakfast. As we were exploring, there was a room off the front desk that had more breakfast type foods, so maybe they do have breakfast. I guess I will find out tomorrow. I think in the summer months they must have a little canteen that sells snacks in the indoor pool area. There are a lot of tables and chairs to eat and lounge at. The hotel is close to quite a few options to eat at. The pool area does have towels but they are smaller. The pool was open till 9pm but it may be later in the summer months.
I honestly could not have been any happier with our little staycation for my daughter's birthdays during the crummy winter months in Wisconsin!
If your looking for a hotel, especially with smaller kiddos, this place has my vote!

It was a nice stay. I only seen a few bad things in the room(didn't affect our stay). There was a spot on the wall that was fixed but not painted and a light bulb that was loose. But the bed was comfy and the room was clean.

Don't let the dated exterior or the low rates dissuade you... Our room was clean & comfortable, the waterpark was pretty nice for such an affordable rate, and the front desk clerk was friendly and welcoming. I initially booked one night as a holiday getaway with the kids (teenagers).. we were enjoying ourselves so much so that we actually booked a second night. If your looking for a family friendly dells hotel with a waterpark that won't cost a small fortune, give the Dells Polynesian a chance.. just check the waterpark hours before booking as they are limited.

Can't beat the price! The indoor water park is small but we'll done, the rooms are basic but clean and well maintained. Only a few minutes from everything by car. Can't complain!

Absolutely above and beyond service! Great little spot. I travel A LOT and i have no complaints. And for the price?!?! The dog is super happy here and so am I.

So happy I didn't allow the poor reviews deter our stay at the Polynesian. Our room was clean, the bed was comfy, the indoor waterpark was perfect for my boys (ages 7 & 9) and the Noah's Ark passes to make up for the outdoor pool closure were a huge plus! I wish the indoor water park was open a little earlier, but understand that requires additional staffing. A staff member stopped by the morning after we checked in to see if there was anything we needed to better our stay, but we were quite satisfied. We usually stay at the larger water park resorts but decided to try something different. We saved a whole lot of money that allowed us to indulge in other excursions within the Dells. We look forward to coming back to the Polynesian to check out the progress!

Room was very quaint and clean. The water park was very enjoyable but the stand out star of the show was the morning receptionist Mary. We had a last minute stop at this hotel when our previous one had a sudden cancellation. Mary was the shining star and the most beautiful slay woman ever. Would 100% recommend, especially if you're checking in with the queen Mary at reception!🙌💞

A hidden gem in the Dells! We booked a suite and what we received far exceeded our expectations! Beautifully remodeled room, comfy bed, cook top, microwave, dishwasher, blender....the list goes on and on! Fun arcade open til 10. The outside looks a little rough, but it's rooms are amazing! Very pleased and we will be back!

Its a good hotel, All the employees are friendly.

I stayed days ago and they are remodeling, I would go again without a doubt.
The room are cleans and price its affordable

Our stay was great, our room was fantastic! Although the outdoor and indoor Waterparks were closed during our stay, June 2021, the indoor pool was available and the hours were long-term open. The arcade was the same.

Staff was friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had all needs met. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The kids had a blast at the waterpark! May be an older property but for the price you pay you can't beat it!! Will stay again!

Granted that the resort is going through a complete renovation, the staff will go above and beyond to accommodate your needs. The room we got had a dated carpet and sofa but it was clean and had air conditioning. By the end of the trip I knew the entire staff. The staff even went as far as allowing us to pair our phone with their television to watch the CopaAmerica game.
The water park was great, you did not have to worry about strangers!!!

I didn't like this resort previously because it is aged but the staff has gotten better and they were helpful and nice. Affordable low key place .It is older and actually a great place if you like older architecture and taking cheesy pictures it's fun for that . I still standby calling to double check pool openings before you book as its closed sometimes. They have a pool for everyone but bring a life jacket if your child can't swim the lazy river os dark and strong current and not many lifeguards.

It was recently bought for new owners who are trying their best to renew the whole hotel and its amenities. Pretty nice and friendly staff.

I just wanted to say that we had the absolute best experience and time with our children here. We originally planned on staying at Mt.Olympus but with how bad our experience was there and how awful the staff treated us, the Polynesian was able to give us a great room and experience at a even greater price range. The staff were so attentive and caring, I felt safe and respected. Water park was amazing and NOT packed we could visibly see our children at all times and everything was clean. Thank you Polynesian!

Checking in for the week. Arrived on Sunday. Registration desk personnel were very accommodating and helpful. Requested a handicap accessible room and was booked into a regular. Initially no room was available, but while checking in a couple close in age to ourselves were being given a hc room they did not request. The 2 staff members coordinated and the switch was effected. Room is clean and quiet. Bed was quite comfortable, just a wee bit high off the ground for the spouse. Look forward to enjoying the water park. Quite acceptable, not a mega but not very busy at this point.

Our Casino host got us in here with some short notice pull. Check in area was busy but loved how a concierge acknowledged & welcomed us with bottled water while we were in line.
They explained some renovations were going on but its work in a wing that doesn't effect guest. This place is in a prime location for getting around. The room was very clean. Didn't realize this was a water park resort, SCORE! Had a blast with the kids on the water slides and lazy river. Great Pizza!! Concierge helped us with show tickets.

We stayed in their new condo suite (king) and were incredibly impressed. This is the comfiest mattress I've ever stayed on. The room is new and stocked with dishes, silverware, etc. Big bathroom and alot of space. Our room was clean and ready on time and they even let us check out at noon. I like that their is two seperate water park areas and sure it won't be as big as the big resorts but it also wasn't jam packed and obnoxiously filled with kids. The drinks were delicious. We stayed at the Kalahari the same weekend and would have rather stayed here for two nights. Kalahari mattress sucked and drinks were about twice as expensive and our room had nothing but basics. We would absolutely stay here again.

I read so many reviews before booking the room. Thank god i wanted to go see it myself or i would of have missed all the fun . Room was very clean, loved both indoor areas. My kids really loved this place

This 5 star rating is specifically for the awesome customer service I experienced. We had to reschedule our stay the day we were supposed to check in. I called very early to give as much notice as possible. Staff member Jesse was extremely understanding and helped me arrange a date that worked out better for us. And was so nice on the phone. I was so worried we would have to pay a fee for last minute changes but we didnt, and that took a lot of stress off my shoulders.
