I camped here with my fiance and a couple friends. The campsites were nicely spaced and we were fortunate to have some covering from other sites and the sun. The bathrooms were nearby and had everything we needed (shower, sinks, etc.) and there was a fun activity calendar posted in the bathroom for the weekend.

We went to the fire tower and that was a big highlight. There are railings but the steps are steep, so be careful. We went on a hike as well near the river. Be more mindful than us because the bugs were probably the worst I've seen. I typically get bit a lot regardless, but everyone in the group was eaten alive by mosquitoes. I don't fault the campground because it's been a bad year for them but be wary.

Our experience getting wood was seamless and staff were extremely helpful. Overall, 5 stars from me!

Embarking on my first camping journey at this site was an incredible decision. The natural beauty that enveloped me was awe-inspiring, and the well-maintained amenities ensured my comfort throughout. From waking up to the sound of birdsong to gazing at the star-studded sky, every moment was a new and enchanting experience. I'm grateful for this unforgettable start to my camping escapades!

Spend a few days in a cabin here. The cabin was so nice! Much nicer than we had hoped for! It was clean, the bed was comfy. It had a cute kitchen w/ amenities fridge 4 burner stove and oven! Even an indoor flush toilet! We had am amazing time. Will definitely stay here again.

We stayed with 2 teenagers, 2 young adults 2 dogs, 2 adults and a 7 year old. We Camp old school with cast iron cooking, hiking, and fishing. We did it all. Plus the DNR had programs throughout the weekend. We stayed at site 104 and loved it. Enough room for the camper and the kids tent. Over all the kids and us had a great time and will be back again.

Nice, quiet campground with great restrooms and showers, water access in several places, and an abundance of camp sites to choose from.

This is my new favorite campground. The sites are spacious. The restrooms and showers were the cleanest I've ever seen, and that's comparing them to every public restroom I've ever been in. Ever. The staff was super friendly. The park rangers were some of the nicest i've ever encountered and were incredibly cool. Shout out to Nikki and Willow who were working in the Park Office and Valerie at the store. Ya'll are awesome and made my stay even more enjoyable. Thanks for putting up with me! I also want to mention the hour long events they had at the lodge, fire tower, and amphitheater and how neat they were. You get to learn and have fun at the same time! There is so much to do that one weekend wasn't nearly enough time to see all that is offered.

Huge camping spots! Some get a little tight where they want you to Karl your truck and camper but tons of space for grilling, lounging and kids playing!

Visited here after labor day and it was so empty! The campsites were pretty open, meaning many of them were not very private. It was quiet when I stayed, but I could see how this campground might get loud easily. The ground hosts were so nice!
