Sunn Cafe

Lovely independently owned coffee shop and restaurant! They specialize in healthier but delicious, sustainable food options. My husband is addicted to their breakfast sandwiches. They have fantastic baked treats daily. Most, if not all, are gluten-free, which is clearly fantastic if you have food sensitivities. I don't, but still enjoy them immensely.

There are lots of seating options, including outdoor seating for warmer months.
The staff are very friendly. It's easy to see why this is a favorite for many locals, Duluth Trading company employees, and tourists.

Note: they close mid-afternoon and sadly aren't open on Sundays

I ordered the “Beast” sandwich with a side of Potato Salad Togo. It was ready when I got there and very friendly staff! I got home to divulge in this deliciousness and it went way beyond my expectations for a roast beef sandwich!!! It has so much flavor, not to much of one over the other in each bite but you get a taste of everything, every bite. Perfectly executed!! And the potato salad, yum!! I’m not a fan of bacon and there is bacon in this potato salad but it makes it. It’s the perfect amount, not over powering, and can still get the potato salad flavor I’m looking for. Very tasty over all and will definitely be back for more!! Thanks Sunn Cafe!

Small towns like Mount Horeb, Wisconsin make a whole lot more sense when they also provide charming, independent cafes that have espresso drinks and amazing food. Don't go to the small towns that don't have this.

I can't recommend this place highly enough! The food is fantastic and the entire staff is so friendly and helpful. There are vegan/vegetarian options here which I love. The Thai One On sandwich is probably the best sandwich I've ever had. Their deli salads and sweet treats are excellent as well. Lots of great beverage options too. Relaxing atmosphere in a convenient downtown location. Lots of street parking in the area.

We enjoyed a healthy lunch this weekend with the house salad, jammwitch, and broccoli tahini side salad. The ladies were very accommodating of our dietary restrictions and large number of questions. Oh, and the vegan GF zucchini muffin was wonderful!

So happy we discovered this wonderful gem! Today was our first time in Mt Horeb and we had lunch here and oh, what’s not to LOVE?? The warm and welcoming atmosphere (such cool old tables and chairs), the super friendly owners and staff who even gave us some great advice about where to go hiking, and the FOOD! We shared two incredible sandwiches, the Bomb and the Skinny Cuban, and they were fantastic, definitely the best sandwiches we’ve had in a very long time, with such a great combination of flavors and very nice bread and everything so fresh. The coffee - and decaf for me :] - were also excellent… our only regret was that we were too full to try any of the amazing looking baked goods! Thanks so much, and we’ll be back soon and often!

This place was perfect IMO. Delicious food, quick service and so friendly! The place is adorable and it’s VERY clean! The products they have/produce are worth the extra buck! Loved it! Pictured here is the Thai Chicken salad (as a sandwich) and their creamy tomato soup! Yum!!

The food is outstanding - very fresh and tasty. I had the roast beef sandwich w Swiss cheese and caramelized onions. Excellent! My daughter had Thai chicken salad sandwich - also outstanding! The potato salad side was very tasty w bacon! I highly recommend this little cafe!

Make this a required stop in Mt Horeb — especially if you are biking the Military Ridge Trail. It’s a block off the trail and the sandwiches are unique and healthy fuel. The bakery selections are so good — and some extra sugar for your bike ride We sat inside to cool off but they have a lovely outdoor seating area as well. Great service and awesome staff.

Great food. The sandwiches don’t look large but there is a lot of meat on there and they are very filling. Service was good even when it was unusually busy.

I was in town for business and was on my way to Panera Bread in Middleton but saw this cute cafe and decided to stop by. They have lots of daily specials and a large selection of everyday soup, salads and sandwiches. The greens are all organic and tossed with a delicious and light vinaigrette. I had the Thai chicken salad and it was perfect! Their kombucha and drinks selection is great too 👍 wish I had a place like this right by my house!

Super fun cafe right in downtown Mt Horeb. It was a beautiful day so some folks were eating outside, though we sat in the spacious, comfortable dining room. You order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. Friend got sesame noodles from the deli case and a soup of the day, which was a peanut stew that was vegan & gluten free and delicious. I got chef's salad that had a perfect hard-boiled egg, deli meats, a gentle sprinkling of cheese, quality bacon and such over greens. The bleu cheese dressing was chunky and delightful. Can't wait to visit again. All the customers seemed thrilled to be there, and when we had stopped in earlier at the chamber of commerce, it turns out the lunches they were talking about getting were from Sunn Cafe! One of them loves the Skinny Cuban sandwich and never gets anything else, she said.

Perfect spot for delicious, eclectic treats and meals! Their chicken salads are a must try, especially the Thai chicken. Unexpectedly had a ton of gluten free items which was so awesome for my partner who has celiac. Really kind & friendly servers too. We’ll be back!

One of my favorite places to be. The staff are attentive and friendly, and the energy is infectious. Starting the day with one of their breakfast sandwiches and a cup of coffee, will put you in a great mood. Or, stop in a bit later for one of their delicious sandwiches for a chill break in your day. You can't go wrong at Sunn Cafe.

Literally, the best sandwich I’ve ever tasted. Everything is top-notch at this place.

Everything is SO good!!! My favorite Latte is a brown sugar with oat milk and their lemon bar is heaven!! Today I tried a wrap and their taco chili and it was amazing!!! The food is delicious and the people are so kind! This is my favorite place to go in Mount Horeb!
