Barnes & Noble

I was meeting friends for an event and hadn’t had my coffee yet. I recall Barnes and Noble has a cafe and hustled over. I saw a Starbucks sign on the door and asked an employee where it was and he pointed it out, saying “Our Barnes and Noble Cafe ( ie, not technically Starbucks) is that way.” I rushed over and they were just opening up. The sweet girl behind the counter quickly served up the hot delicious coffee I wanted and made sure I had just the right amount of cream. The walnut pastry was delightful. It all hit my sweet spot and I was so grateful. Although the store seemed empty when I arrived ( it had just opened at 9 am) , customers were already lining up at the register. I looked around at the beautiful book displays and bright, clean atmosphere and felt nostalgic. Yeah, it’s a big box store, but I love it and want it to survive. I’ll be back.

So many books I would love and work books! Good variety. Organized and tidy. A tad high priced but not too bad.

Went to get my daughter books for her birthday, and she was really starting to get into reading. I was unsure what to get her because she was a 5 year old with an exceptional reading level amd I didn't know how to look for an appropriate book that was good for her. An employee came and helped me from seeing I was in distraught and lost. They helped me find books with her considered reading levels and showed me where to look for more if a higher reading level indication is needed. To the worker at the Onalaska Barns and Noble, thank you. My daughter loves the books, and they were lovely for her to read with a small challenge and help her learn. Will recommend and be returning.

There is a Starbucks built into this place. Bathrooms are cool. There is vinyl, magazines, plushies, collectibles and puppets sold as well.

I love having this book store in our area. It is one of a few. It has a great selection and is always neat and tidy!

Love having this store. Such a sanctuary. I only wish they bring back their mystery books . They would wrap up book so you wouldn't know what they were and but them based on the opening line

Such a great store, too bad it's part of a dying mall! I love taking my daughter here to check out the children's books and the toys.

The staff was so helpful, and I found MORE than I was looking for. Got signed up for the BN membership, saved a ton on my purchases!

Great place to find the book your looking for.

I personally love to look at the banned book section, very interesting books all around. I love that they have a starbucks in the store, tastes great every time!

Coffee and books are my life's inspiration. Bathrooms could use some HELP.

The staff here is always quick to help and willing to go the extra mile. While looking for a specific book, the attendant recommended one that was very similar, and it did not disappoint.

I love getting new book recommendations, and it rarely comes from an associate while looking for a title. It was a kind gesture and an excellent recommendation.

Went in for a couple books for my daughter's birthday and they even had a book I've wanted for years. I was helped when they saw me wandering around and she lead me straight to the book I wanted. Clean place, nice people and lots to choose from! From kids to adults, books and magazines, toys and supplies! Something for everyone!

Since moving to the US, I haven't been book shopping until now, but what a great place! A wide variety of subjects, good selection of books within each subject. The staff were helpful and knew their stuff. One thing I would suggest is more prominent signs for where each section was, you do have to wander around each bookcase to see what is on there. Very happy with my purchases, hopefully I'll be back to buy many many more books!

They get more and more expensive every year, but I absolutely love that there is still a place you can buy a REAL book. Great place to bring kids, they have a lot of toys. Great for people of all ages and interests. They have Funko pops and exclusive collectibles too.
