Buckhorn Store

A must stop when in Mauston. Excellent food and service. Many standard American Mexican dishes but they also have some authentic food as well.

This place makes the best subs I've ever eaten . Pizza , too . Very friendly people working there. Store is always clean. Great to have a store close in case you forget to bring something camping. Always check here first.

Took my teenager camping for the first time here. We had a mile hike to our site which was right on the water. It was beautiful and peaceful. Only wish the showers were cleaned on a daily basis.

This place is a gem. My husband and I were camping in the area, and we stopped here initially for gas. We ended up making several trips back. We were not treated like "tourists", as we have been while shopping at similar establishments. This place had everything we needed, and then some, and the prices were not only fair, they were downright LOW. I am used to places like this charging an arm and a leg for supplies, because they know the people purchasing them really need them. But everything we bought was at or below normal prices. And the variety of supplies was impressive. We were not able to order any pizza because we didn't have time, but it smelled so delicious that we already made plans to go there for dinner the next time we are in the area. I highly recommend this place.

Quaint small town store. Great location for where we like to go fishing. One stop shop for bait, refreshments and food. People staying at the campground behind the store must really love the convenience, I know I would! Watched a guy pull up from the campground on a golf cart, walk in and get some pizzas and head back to his campsite. That would be awesome. I live nearby in Necedah, but I'd consider camping there just for the store!

Super friendly staff the few times I've been here I've had too much to carry myself and someone always grabs the stuff I planned on coming back for and brings it to my car!

I absolutely love this lil store it always has what I need. Or they have great recommendations. Prices are reasonable and the owner rocks!

Friendly & you can enjoy some pool while you have some pizza, sandwich, or something else. Gas is usually reasonable. Lots to get here

Gas, milk, potatoes, fishing stuff, beer, liquor, sub sandwiches, coffee, candy....They have not sold me a winning lottery ticket yet, but they are still alright in my book
