Speed's Bicycle Shop

Awesome "Ma and Pa" company. Rented a Diverge gravel bike and it was so mechanical sound and smooth that it was down right impressive. Smooth shifting, no noise, great brakes.
Used their shuttle service to go to Elroy to ride the Rail to Trail back to Sparta.
Had the best time, several small towns on the route to get more water and food if needed.
Stopped 1/2 way in Wilton, at the Hitchin' Post for a burger (so darn good and they are cyclist friendly).
The shuttle driver gave me lots of tips on the way to Elroy, and one was to get a burger there.
SPEED'S had a machine shop too, seem to be excellent mechanics. Super nice people too!
Love the nostalgic look of the shop.
They even have me a little kit with tools, pump and tube too. Didn't need it, but was nice to have and made an excellent truck for my extras. It attached to the reat rack of the bike.
There is so much history there.
You can't go wrong with SPEED'S....

Needed a new bike seat. Found one and they installed it right then. Super friendly and would go there again if we need any other bike repairs or accessories. Had a good amount of inventory of anything you might need.

Love this bike shop. Made our day awesome with reasonably priced transport 17 miles down the road on the Sparta trail to allow us to bike on way! Also great shop with very competitive pricing on specialized bikes. Would go there just to buy a bike but the rental and transportation was a bonus!

Super pleased with the service I received. I had a flat tire on a holiday weekend; not only were they open, but they were able to fix my flat with no wait, and at a very fair price. The vintage bikes hanging up are also super cool to look at while you are in the shop.

Very helpful. We were biking-camping in Sparta in October and the water had been shut off at the campsites. Speed's allowed me to refill our water bottles for cooking and drinking. They are very close to the Elroy-Sparta trail and the mechanic shop area in the back room was impressive.

Wonderful place to rent bikes with knowledgeable help! Located right on the Elroy/Sparta trail! Looks like a very well-appointed retail bike/repair shop as well! Our rental bikes were excellent! Please drive slowly as there are cute kiddos afoot!

Stopped by while on the Elroy Sparta trail. The service manager there gave me some great advice on how to make my older bike work better for me, and some good old honest advice that saved me some money. When I get a new bike, I will make the trip back up here to do so. They are that good.

Had flat today. Was hesitant to have bike shop fix as I normally do all my own work. This shop was awesome. I took a chance and had them replace tube to get me back on the trail quickly. They did everything within a few minutes and charged about half of what I figured they would. This place rocks! Thanks for the friendly service! Top notch!

Great bikes, great shop. The e-bike was a pleasure and made for a relaxed experience. Lights came on in the tunnel and were perfect. Very good location. Stopped for a delicious lunch at Bailey’s in Norwalk.

Got a tire n tube replaced on son's bicycle while on vacation. They got it in right away and fixed it quickly. Price was very good too. Definitely recommend them!! Thank you to Mitt and the crew

Very friendly and courteous staff. Went in because my front crank set wouldn't change. Showed up 5 min before they were supposed to close. Not only did Milt take a look at my bike but also made some quick adjustments for me. I know Eric's in Minnesota wouldn't do something like that and if it wasn't for the 4 hour drive i would shop there exclusively.

Bought my first real bike and not a "big store special". Didn't really know how to size the frame, seat or handlebars. I usually just jumped on any bike and dealt with the ride. They were patient with my many questions and wandering around. They let me ride different ones to ensure I got one I really liked. Then they helped me find the right helmet and accessories for it. I felt that they really cared that I got the right equipment the first time.

I broke a chain and bent a set of gears on my hunting eBike. Thought my weekend was going to be a bust. Called Speed’s, took my bike right away, and it was fixed in less than 15 minutes. Thank you so much for the excellent service. Will definitely be a returning customer!

Great bike shop! Reasonable pricing and the staff was very friendly, reliable, and helpful. It was pretty cool to see all the new bikes along with antique ones hanging on the walls. Thanks for the awesome experience.

I've been one of their customers for years. Milt knows bicycles!!! If you need educated on something, he is more than willing to educate you and make sure you understand what he is saying. I feel whether you are buying a new bicycle or having repairs, he is VERY fair on pricing. The repairs are done right! Customer satisfactions seems to be their #1 goal

Friendly bike shop. Took their shuttle to ride the Elroy-Sparta Trail. I learned about the area and got great advice on the best detour around the closure. I even shared with my a confused group how to get around the closure and felt like a local! 😂

Great people, great rates and excellent equipment. Also had a fantastic location at the end of the Elroy Sparta Trail. I rented a really good bike for a day for just $20. I was with the Boy Scouts and I had an issue with the trailer. One of the employees help me fix it and didn't charge me. From here you can ride to Norwalk and go through the big tunnel. Eat in Norwalk & ride back. Beautiful. 6 ****** star rateing for business & location.

We had a wonderful time mountain biking the wildlcat and smrekar trails in black river state forest. We rented out bikes from speeds bicycle shop and they were fabulous. The bikes were in great shape and they were extremely helpful answering all our questions since it was our first visit tot the area. We are excited to return this fall to do more routes !! Highly recommended. !!!

Speed's is a clean, well organize, friendly bicycle shop with great service. They have a good selection of bicycles for rent, so if you're from out of town and want to ride the Rails to Trails bike path, Speed's is the place and they're located at the start of the trail in Sparta, WI.

I needed to get my daughters bike repaired. Their prices are reasonable they’re friendly and called me back right away. They explained everything they did when I picked it up. I really appreciated that. Will be using them from now on.
