I give 5 star rating, even it was not open on winter time! Just looked those others comments and I agree😃

This is the longest tunnel on this bike trail and I felt the history!

Walking at the small canyon made me thinking how those ancient people has feared robbers near train tracks!

At the front of tunnel there was a selfie wall, what is a unique!

Never seen that kinda no where else!

It is a great foto opportynity to singles!

Great for a day with the kids. I took my 5, ages 13 weeks-11yrs, and they had a fun time. Park on Kenya then walk over to the trail. The tunnel is a few minutes walk from Kenya and then there is a picnic table and restroom area with a water fountain not far beyond the tunnel. A regular stroller will get through the bumpy tunnel just fine. Bring flashlights and a light jacket since it gets chilly inside the tunnel and you will get wet from the rain like drippings.I suggest you bring tennis shoes but waterproof hiking shoes would be best since it gets muddy and children love to splash in the little streams and puddles.

Great trail. Fairly well maintained and travels through hills and valleys with great views. Trees almost form tunnels in many spots. Tunnels through the rock are unique and fun (bring flashlights). Idyllic little towns for food and fun. Camping available.

Only parked by the 3 rd tunnel and seemed super cool!!! Want to go back to try the other ones but it’s a lot of biking if your not use to it. So stick to one tunnel and see how you feel after the one.

After we found tunnel 3 it was pretty great, lots of people..pushing strollers, people riding their bikes even though it says to walk them...dark, cold, for us unprepared people..no light other than our cell phone flashlights ..but still an adventure

This is a beautiful trail with creeks running along both sides. The tunnel is about 47 degrees year-round, and it drips a lot of water, so dress appropriately!

WOW! It was such a beautiful and spectacular place to be. I love seeing how things were done back in the day and the simplicity of just walking through this tunnel, it was breathtaking.

It is cold and water drips from the ceiling. I didn't mind it, but if you plan to visit make sure to bring extra clothes if needed! Also it's also a bike trail, but just make sure to walk your bikes through as the ground is quite slippery.

I'm going back. I parked at Norwalk, and biked past tunnel 3. The trail is unpaved but pretty smooth. Watch for areas of loose sand/gravel, as at faster speeds it can affect handling a bit, though not a huge problem. I really liked the tunnel, but a flashlight is helpful, as it was pretty foggy inside when I went through. The amount of water from the overhead spring is pretty impressive over the length of the tunnel. While I understand walking through when other hikers/bikers are present, I don't see an issue with biking at slow speed while using a good light source when nobody is sharing the tunnel( I walked). I did look for bats and found a few, and the trail is a bird watchers paradise. Lots of shaded trail with a variety of wild flowers and varying terrain.

Beautiful trail! A definite must do in the fall. Loved learning about all the work that went into it back in the 1800s. We will be back for sure;

Wonderful trail! It was flat, cleaned off and wide enough to accommodate bikes from both directions.

Amazing place. Make sure you have a rain jacket if you don't want to get wet while in the tunnel. A flashlight is a must.

Bring a warm rain jacket and a flashlight. It is wet and cool in the tunnel. Awesome place for a family activity.

The third and longest tunnel is 3810 and is very refreshing when the water drips from the sealing. But me and my family have a good time

Really great trail very smooth with great scenery. Going thru the tunnels was alot of fun and cooled us off it was 90 degrees the day we went. We started in Wilton and ended in Sparta about 20 miles. Definitely worth our time to drive here.

Wonderful biking/walking trail to the tunnel and the tunnel is amazing. Not many places have a tunnel of this size that you can freely walk through. Definitely a must stop if you're in the area looking for a quick hike and awesome scenery
