Jake's Northwoods

Outstanding catering! My husband and I had Jake's Northwoods cater our wedding in October and two months later our guests are still talking about the incredible food! We opted for passed hors' d'oeuvres throughout the night and antipasta stations. Not only was the food aesthetically beautiful and creative, it tasted amazing! I would highly recommend for any catered event!

We recently hosted an event here for our organization, and Jake's Northwoods really knocked it out of the park. The banquet room is quite large, and the food was on-schedule, hot, and delicious. Tables and chairs were set up and ready when we got there. Staff was friendly and attentive. And best of all, the price was good.

Jake's never disappoints! Great food and great service every time. I love that I can come here and actually have a conversation over dinner and drinks and not have to scream over music, and I never have to worry about drama. Any time I have someone visiting from out of town this is my first choice for dinner.

I had a wonderful experience at Jake's. Extensive menu with lots of options and 10 beers on tap! Very friendly wait staff who stayed past closing time to let us finish our beers. Didn't say a word about how they were closing. Highly recommend.

Best burger I’ve ever had!! Stopped here for lunch with my family while visiting the area. Couldn’t be happier with the outstanding food and service! The bacon cheese curd burger was hands down the best burger I’ve ever had. Absolutely amazing. Can’t wait to come back!

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful prime rib dinner at Jake's Northwoods in Sparta, WI on Saturday, April 23, 2016. Both of our dinners came just as we ordered and the meat was some of the most tender beef I have ever had. It was well seasoned. Our side dish was grizzly fries, a perfect choice. The drive from La Crosse was worth it!

They catered our wedding this last weekend and did a great job. Everyone was very impressed with the food. Jason was very helpful all the way through and would definitely recommend them to anyone in the future.

Our favorite spot for Friday night fish! Both battered and broiled are delicious. Great service, Jason serves up delicious food always, from prime rib to cornflake baked mac.

Had dinner on Saturday night 6/23/2018 order the prime rib special . Ordered it to be seared on the grill and they did it for me . It was perfect and very delicious . I would recommend eating at Jakes to everyone !

After several disappointing visits to local establishments I found Jakes, and I was pleased. The roasted vegetable panini was crisp, juicy, and flavorful. The onion rings were so good we ordered another basket.This place might be run of the mill in some parts of the country, but in this part of WI it is a gem.

Staff is always pleasant and accommodating. Love the planked salmon and signature skinny fries! Plus they have a decent salad bar.

Great food, drinks and staff. Jake's does a great job with their food and different specials. I love their burgers and the fries! I recommend Jake's to anyone looking for a good dinner while I'm sparta.

We order fish fry to go here every Friday. You can get a dinner or a basket, 1,2,or 3 pieces of fish. If you order the basket you get your fried fish, excellent cole slaw, tartar sauce, and choice of fries or chips. I always get the dinner because you can get the fish broiled or fried and you get two little to go containers for the salad and soup bar. Delicious. Call ahead and leave.

Ordered a carry out. Food was delicious and better than I thought it would be. Food has always been excellent when we've there. Good to call ahead to make sure they are open.

We had our wedding here and we have eaten here for lunch and dinner. The place is great. Food is amazing.. and the staff are so friendly! Jason was awesome at accomodating all of our needs for the wedding as well!!

Never had one bad thing on the menu! I suggest this place to everyone in the area! BEST fish fry and BEST prime rib! And the tartar and au jus are on point! --That's important too!

New Year's Eve supper with my wife. Her scallops were great and my hunters ribeye was perfect! Great servers. They make a damn good old fashioned!

Saturday night prime rib was fantastic and priced well. Very pleased with my visit. Definitely the spot to eat when in Sparta.

The food is very good and fairly priced. There is a good selection. The staff were great. When we came in we noticed they were disinfecting all areas. A plus.
