AMAZING!!!! We’re from out of state and wanted to try some of the local food. Found this place and seen some pictures of the pizza and had to try. Ordered the gem city supreme and was blown away. The large was around $34 with tax. The amount of pizza you get for that is unreal. The pizza was amazing. The crust was super crispy. The sauce was very flavorful. It was extremely cheesy and delicious. I have payed way more for a lot less pizza. The only thing about this pizza I would have changed is I would have let it cook a few more minutes. Most of the peppers and onions on top were still crunchy and a little under cooked but other than that hands down best pizza I’ve ever had. I just wish I wasn’t 4 states away.

Best service I’ve ever experienced. Also, I typically prefer thinner crust pizza but the crust was crispy on the bottom and soft in the middle. Plenty of cheese and toppings. The sausage was delicious as a topping. I will recommend to others for sure!

Wanted to share my amazing experience at Gem City—

I called yesterday (9/6) with a last minute large carry out order for a work party we were having and asked if it could be fulfilled shortly after they open today (9/7). I didn’t get her name but she was so kind and attentive on the phone when I called.

Fast forward to today, I believe the owner, Gary, met with my boyfriend (whom picked up the order for me) he gave him drink tokens and was SO SO nice to him. The order was perfect and everyone enjoyed their pizza— shouts out to the kitchen staff as well!

My coworkers, boyfriend, and I can all collectively agree- Gem City has the best pizza and service in the area! We’ll definitely be using them for another party at Sun Mountain Spa again soon.

Saw photos of the pizza online and had to try it. This is the best pizza I have ever had! The service was professional. Definitely coming back here!

We had the artichoke dip app and a deep dish pizza. Both were fantastic. We moved to the area from Chicago and have been trying multiple locations in search of a go-to pizza joint. We have found it. The service was friendly and timely as well. Highly recommended.

Update on 2nd visit: went again and pizza did not disappoint at all and we loved the food and the atmosphere. Love the sausage and homemade deep dish crust, but i really want to try the thin crust, but they said they dont make that, its purchased, which i think is a big miss in my opinion. I will say our bartender/server was not very friendly or attentive, maybe she was having a bad day, but we felt like we didnt even exist. I will try again, hope our server is having a better day and I still highly recommend for their pizza!

First visit: Great pizza, excellent sausage! Server was outstanding, we will be back!

Their deep dish pizzas are so fresh, delicious, and LOADED with toppings - we make a point of stopping here each time we come through. It's ~$35/pie, but we leave stuffed and with 2-3 days worth of leftovers for the two of us.

Husband and I travel a lot and enjoy trying new places. Didn’t feel the love when we first came in but we’re super friendly people, so could just be us? We ordered the Chicken Nachos! Let me stop here!

The delicious fried tortilla chips with the white melted cheddar, & seasoned chicken kept the two most talkative people quiet. I should of took a pic of the aftermath, they pretty much wouldn’t of had to wash the dish. Perfect portion for two.

We followed it with a custom pizza, sausage, red onions, jalapeños & mushrooms. We fight between thin crust and deep dish, this was a glorious compromise! We’ll done! Ready for a nap! Definitely recommend!

Jeff was kind and patient to our family of 6. He made my night.

After a long day in the Dells, we left kind of late. Every pizza place was closed. My wife picks this place out. At first we thought we'd just get take-out, then we decided to dine-in. I'm always afraid of annoying proprietors. But Jeff was great. The pizza was great.

My only complaint is the booths. A table that could fit 8 people had booth seats for 4. My kids were so tired and sleepy no one complained much at the time. Thank you Jesus.
I wouldn't call this place kid-friendly. But Jeff was friendly to my kids. I'm truly grateful.

Sad, the elderly woman at the ice cream store - Green Something - seemed annoyed about just scooping ice cream.

Every visit has been fantastic! The deep dish pizza is too die for. Great crust, toppings, and sauce. You won't go hungry!

We ate here Sunday Oct 9. Had chicken wings, thin crust pizza and thick crust pizza.

I met and spoke to the owner about the negative reviews this last week. Gary was horrified at the photo and said he would have made this right on the spot if he knew about it. Cooking times and specific ingredients can all affect the outcome. Sometimes things slip through.

Our pizzas were amazing on Sunday. I spent some time speaking to the folks next to us that also ordered pizza. They came in from Chippewa Falls and got a large pizza on a recommendation from a friend. They said it was better than they had expected, the best they've had.

Don't be dissuaded by a few unfortunate experiences, eat here and enjoy the pizza. I have been doing so for two years and have no hesitation to continue. Just met Gary myself and he cares about quality and happy customers.

Have a problem? Bring it to his attention when you discover it. You won't be disappointed.

Best pizza in Wisconsin! Staff is awesome! Menu is kinda limited however, staff go out of their way to satisfy how you try to customize their menu choices. It's my go-to restaurant! Owner is genuinely interested in making sure your experience is awesome!

The food is amazingly brilliant! The staff is extraordinary!!! When we went they were overrun with customers and to go orders, appeared to be short staffed and still rocked it!!!! Great place, great food, great atmosphere. Go for the pizza, stay for the fun!

Annual pilgrimage to the bar with the best pizza in the state. Always welcoming, always accommodating, even for our large group at short notice. If you're in the area, check this place out and try the pizza, you won't be disappointed!

First time at Gem City. I was celebrating my birthday so we stopped for pizza and drinks. The pizza was out of this world delicious! Service was awesome and the atmosphere was excellent. The people there were so friendly. Definitely going back whenever I get back to Baraboo! We had the build your own pizza!
