Burgers are still the best in town as they were 35 years ago when my parents would frequent The Square! Drinks are inexpensive and Jan is such a fun, quick-witted, friendly young lady!

Bartenders were VERY busy but very friendly. The burgers in a work......AMAZING!!!! THEY were delicious & perfectly cooked! If in the area again, we will definitely be back!!!

Went for the Friday fish fry, was delicious they offer tater tots as a potato choice, service was great also.

No fried cheese curd should EVER be squared. This is by far the BEST place for cheese curds in Wisconsin. Downtown Baraboo has a certain old-school Americana with a diversity-friendly charm that is hard to find. The Square Tavern is a must stop to your trip to Devil’s Lake or on your way to Madison (and the famous Graze). The white cheese curds over the yellow ones! 💕

I can't say enough about this place, I've been going there with family since I can remember! Too bad Johnny Depp changed the movie scene, it's perfect!

Awesome tavern owned by the wonder Neil Caflisch who owned Coach House. Go check this place out in replace of the coach house being flooded you won’t be disappointed.
