1) location easily accessible (including wheelchairs and strollers.)
2) Very child friendly. A great place for parents to go and get a coffee and gelato with a friend or relative and chit chat while kids play in the amazing play corner
3) play corner has a ton of toys, and has couches situated in a way it's easy to supervise/contain children while giving them space as well.
4) Very plastic aware (almost plastic free.) For example, free water is in metal cups that they then wash and put out again instead of disposable. Diapers in bathroom are phthalate free.
5) Organic breads available
6) The gelato was good as well :)

Awesome, community-centered cafe with seating from couches to nooks to group tables, local artist vendors, community bulletin board, and of course, the best gelato I've ever had.

So grateful for the role this spot plays in our small community as a comfortable and welcoming space to be for all, and for the opportunity to access such an incredibly decadent and quality treat so affordably! The hazelnut gelato (the smooth one without raw hazelnuts in it) is my favorite icecream/gelato flavor of all time.

We loved our first visit to Magpie! So thankful for the kid friendly area, made our visit with another mama considerably less stressful. Us mamas could enjoy our coffee, while our littles were fully distracted.

The place is creatively decorated and overall atmosphere is very relaxed and homey. A great place for people of all ages.
The individuals working there were also very sweet!

Cute shop with*amazing* gelato. Plus coffee drinks, sweet and savory crepes, soups, and more, all very affordable. It has a hip vibe and plenty of comfortable seating. Fun place to visit.

Randomly came across this place. The space is super hip. Great place to gather and hang out and of course get gelato.

Love love love coming here! Great atmosphere, great food, and so many unique trinkets and decorations to look at. Many of them are available for sale too.

Mint chocolate chip gelato was delicious... I finished my whole pint in one sitting 😬 want to go back and try every flavor!

Wonderful gelato and a great latte. The crepe was pretty good too tho it tasted a bit eggy to me but that may have just been me. The kiddo and the man loved the cozy seating and the distractions of toys and an arcade game.

Awesome to have this place in Viroqua. Got a delicious cappuccino and a pint of the bacio (chocolate hazelnut.) So smooth and creamy :)

Also love there mushroom, goat cheese crepe.

My only qualm is that it's not the best place to try and get work done as there are toys for children to play with resulting in it being very loud at times. Perhaps certain toys are not the best to have in a cafe.

I honestly love that it's a family place, it just is distracting for someone trying to get work done. I would say if you are someone looking for a quiet cafe vibe, go during the week vs the weekend, that’s when I have noticed it being the loudest. No big deal, just a heads up :)

Great Cinnamon Dulce and Mocha Gelato, Raspberry Sorbetto and Cappucino. I'll try the crepes next time i'm in Viroqua (all out by 5PM Sunday). Large space inside, and great for kids, with a play area and couches. Def will be back for more civilized comfort luxuries! Also very friendly hip, likely feminist, young women as baristas/workers who keep the vibe upbeat.

We are so glad we stopped for gelato at Magpie. It was so good. The flavors were rich, smooth, and silky. The three of us all loved the flavors we picked. We have had the chance to eat gelato while in Europe and we think Magpie’s might have been better than anything we had in Germany or France.

Amazing crepes, friendly staff, great gelato and homey atmosphere. Love the side wall with the stickers and other apparel.

Cool coffee shop vibe-- both the sweet and savory crepes were delicious! I could eat the lemon blueberry crepe every day. They also sell some local goods and bread and have to-go pints of gelato!
