Donelan's Supermarket

Let me set the scene: It was beautiful sunny Wednesday in August around 11:30am. The dining area was completely void of any other patrons allowing me to grab my favorite table for a nice relaxing repast. I asked Bruce to finely craft me a BLT sub with American cheese lightly toasted. One can’t describe the genuine love between a man and a perfectly constructed sandwich. The bread was soft and flaky, the tomatoes were perfectly ripe and the mayo level was spot on. The sandwich was cut in half and as opened up the wrapping I almost started crying as I took my first bite. Time stood still and everything was alright in the world. Donelan’s is a bright shining beacon of hope for BLT lovers. Truly world class.

This is my market of choice. They have an excellent produce department, very fresh and a large variety. The fish department has very fresh fish, many are local. The meats are high quality. They have every I need, even a wine/beer department. The staff members are friendly and helpful, they excel in the customer service department. Thank you Donalan's of Acton.

This is a jewel of a grocery store in many ways.

The quality and variety offered is exceptional. I saw brands that I have never seen anywhere else that turned out to be exceptionally good.

There is a wonderful selection of prepared food.

Super friendly service. An employee saw me getting a little bit overloaded with items and came up to me and handed me a basket without me ever having asked for it.

Great place! I love local hot kitchen menu and local sushi (best sushi I have ever tested!). Overall all products quality is very high. The only downside is high prices (but you know what you pay for!).

Just wanted something quick and it was easy in, easy out! Update: 4/14/22 still a nice place! I bought a couple of plastic clamshell containers of blueberries. They put a rubber band around them so they wouldn't accidentally open and put them in the bottom of the grocery bag. Careful packing!

Donelan' is a small locally owned chain of grocery stores. The store has everything you need while not being an overwhelming size. It is clean and well maintained. What I like the most is their responsiveness to special requests. Once I wanted a particular type of bread that they did not normally stock. They then orderedit!

Friendly, local, family run. Good selection, not too huge of a store. If you aren't pleased with your purchase, they will make it right.

Found this store on a Saturday I was in Acton for a Volleyball tournament with my daughter. Fantastic grilled pilgrim turkey sandwich. Unexpectedly good especially the carved turkey breast.

One of my favorite supermarket if not my favorite! Great selection, fresh items, great price and many good wines as well! Very nice staff!

Great grocery store. They seem to have anything you might normally expect to find and then some. Well laid out; not crowded. We will be back again for sure!

An uncharacteristically relaxing grocery shopping experience. I enjoy the classical music, beer and wine selection, and tiny grocery carts for kids. Great deli, too.

Great quality and helpful employees. This is the only store where I will buy boneless chicken. My son comes from Bevelry to get their chicken.

Easy to get in and out. Process are much higher then Market Basket, but we pay for the speed of getting groceries on a time crunch.
