D&J's Hash House

Been driving by this place for decades and last Sunday my wife and I decided to bring our kids here and have some brunch. From now on, this is my favorite brunch place so far. Sunday it was packed with people. The smell of coffee and breakfast was just so cozy. Especially with a rainy day, it was the coziest experience.

We had to wait about 5 minutes but we were seated pretty fast and the table was very clean. The server was amazing. Took our order, made sure everything was done right and she did it with a smile on her face. Always making sure we had everything. Food took some time but once we got it, it did not disappoint and was worth the wait. I tried my wife’s coffee and it was one of the smoothest sip of coffee I ever had. Their chocolate milk was delicious. I had the Ruben Omelette and my wife had the Eggs Benedict. Both were so good. Their potatoes or house fries are the best! Hands down! The portions are big and very filling. Our toddlers enjoyed it. Overall the best experience and can’t wait to come back. Maybe gonna have to come here on Sundays with the kiddos as a family tradition. Thank you D&J’s Hash House for a great experience for our first try.

We had an attentive server. With the coolest glasses ever!! The Omelette was huge and the bacon Benedict’s were to die for. Excellent potatoes to round out our breakfast. This place can get busy so come early.

First time visiting and definitely not the last. I'm not one for taking pics of my food before I eat it, but trust me the food looked yummy and tasted just as yummy. Comfy, warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our server checked in on us a little after we settled in, once for the drink order, and asked if all was good after a few minutes of bringing our meals. She noticed we were wrapping up and delivered the check promptly. So good!

10.23.22 Driving by and saw it was a busy place so had to try it. Breakfast wait was around 25 minutes and they give you a beeper so you can wait in car or outdoors, not to block doorways. There are around 10 spots to sit around a "bar area' set up, or booths, or tables. I ordered their Hash Bowl which had eggs, potatoes, cheese, bacon, all covered in melted cheese. Yum. Good vibe. Seems like a local fave. We enjoyed it.

Heather runs the show in the restaurant. She keeps all the girls motivated and happy.
The food is excellent and the service is great. I recommend this restaurant and don’t forget to find the one girl with a giraffe print glasses…

Great place , you can dine in or eat outside which is really nice, the staff is very friendly. Very fast food service, the place located right on the main road, easy access parking. I had veggie omelette, it was delicious 😋, definitely recommend this place. Come check it out for your self)

Met some long time friends half way between CT & MA for breakfast. Service was fast, efficient & super friendly. We were not rushed by staff to eat & leave!!

Came on Labor day, first time visit. Very happy overall. Ordered eggs over easy and bacon that came with toast and home fried (or choice of hashbrown) Eggs were cooked perfectly! Bacon was nice and crispy. Also ordered kids pancakes with chocolate chips and this is the first time my daughter has cleaned her plate at a restaurant!
Indoor and outdoor seating, we opted for outdoor. There was a chalk board to draw on which is nice to keep little ones occupied. Wasn't too busy when we came and our waitress was very attentive. Food arrived quickly.
Prices are very reasonable. Was a little confusing leaving to pay. You pay at the front but when I walked up no one was around and took a minute for someone to come over. Then before I could hand my signed receipt back she had left. A little odd but I can understand having to multitask. I did manage to catch her eye as I left it on the keyboard.
Overall a great place for breakfast! Would recommend a visit. We had no trouble finding parking but I think it might get tough if it's very busy.

Great small breakfast and lunch place. Nothing pretentious, just great food at a reasonable price. I have had eggs Benedict and eggs over hash, while my wife has pancakes both times we went. All were great. Go and enjoy!

First time. Food was very good and hot. Will go again. Breakfast was amazing worth the stop and the price. Just be aware that if you ask for sourdough toast they charge an extra .50. They didn’t tell you that when you order. Otherwise still worth it.

Great bunch of people they always treat us very well. They treat disabled veterans with respect 🙏 and dignity. My favorite breakfast 😋 place.

Delicious food! My boyfriend and I have driven by and always wanted to check it out so we ordered takeout this morning and so glad we did!! He got an omelet which came with hash browns and a bagel, and was more than he could eat! I ordered the mancake (which is a pancake loaded with bacon, sausage, and ham) and it was the best pancake I’ve ever had! The restaurant is clean and cute, and was packed (loved by many of course) and the hostess was super friendly. All in all, we’ll be coming back for more amazing breakfast!

Great breakfast place. Can be busy but fairly quick

I must say, this is by far one of my favorite breakfast restaurants. Everytime I order a meal here, it has always been a delight with leaving me full with some leftovers. They make their food fresh and it always comes out perfect. The location in Southwick is a bit of a hole in the wall so you may want to go slow when you get close or you may miss it. I definitely recommend this place and if you are hungry to try the breakfast burger!

A very country casual style restaurant. Booth seating as well as table seating for four (standard) inside and outside. I'm not sure if they ever combine tables to be able to accommodate larger groups. A call to the restaurant could answer that question.
Food is fresh, tasty and generous. The Waite staff goes around frequently to refill coffee cups as needed, always smiling and gracious. If you have food you would like to bring home to finish, they are their with a styrofoam container to place the food in when you leave. I hope you have a chance to enjoy the restaurant.
