Peggy Sue's Place

A trip to Heber Springs just isn’t complete without breakfast at Peggy Sue’s Place. Nothing fancy — just great food. Today, we enjoyed the Half Skillet with biscuits and gravy and the Meat Lover’s Omelet. Both were delicious and satisfying. Everyone knows how great the food is and weekends you can expect a wait, but it’s worth it!

How are the pancakes?

Well to be a great diner the pancakes need to be as good or better than mine. Not that I am a GREAT cook, my wife and I just found a GREAT recipe. Peggy Sue’s….not as good…better.

After ordering the blueberry pancakes and sausage I sat in the dinner watching wonderful plate pass by and I began wondering if I should ordered a Skillet or biscuits and gravy (another gauge for a great dinner) but I am so glad I got the pancakes.

Why? Real blueberry! Great texture! Slightly sweet to the taste (even without the syrup)! Presentation!

I think the pancakes had a bit of vanilla and held the chewiness of a great waffle without being dense. Wonderful.

I ordered a side of sausage and that was just as good.

If you are in Heber Springs do yourself a favor and check it out. Quaint diner with wonderful food. What more could you want.

This is a small diner. They have plenty of parking but the main parking lot is gravel. This is a cash only place, so be prepared. The food is good and have fair priceses. Service is great! When we go here we usually have a large party (around 20) and they dont have a hiccup one on getting orders out timely. I have only had breakfast here so I cant speak for other meals, but their breakfast is great!

They made great food, and it was warm and welcoming. Their Onion Rings and Burgers are fantastic! way better than any burger you can get at any fast food chain anywhere in Arkansas, or even from Washington State where I'm from. 100% recommend.

The food is great!! We've been here 3 times now for breakfast.
Fast service. Only negative is they don't accept credit cards. Will for sure be eating here again when I'm in the area. Would like to try the lunch sometime. I'm sure it'll be good as well. A++

A diamond in the ruff, Peggy Sue's is a well staffed restaurant located on the edge of town and lake Greers Ferry. Fried pis, pies, lunch specials and a great selection of breakfast items. Cash only, no cards.

Me and my Buddy Tristen wanted to eat here so bad with the fellas but they were all skeptical. We loaded everybody up and headed that way. "I dont want to eat here" most of them shouted. But me and my Buddy Tristen knew we were about to have a special meal. Boy were we not disappointed. This might be the best breakfast you can find in the whole state. We turned everyone into Peggy Sue fanatics. Justice for me and my Buddy Tristen.

Small but mighty... a popular eating spot in heber. They was quite busy when I pulled up .I just order to go but the folks seem to be enjoying their food that is with no doubt made with love! Down home country cooking at its finest !! I'm sure I and my family will enjoy our food !!

Having breakfast at Peggy Sue’s is truly a spiritual experience with every bite. Every dish is cooked with love and hand crafted by the legend herself, Peggy Sue. If you visit Heber, Peggy Sue’s Place is a MUST!

The food was good, great staff, and amazing atmosphere. A good stop if you are in Herber Springs!

Amazing amount of food. It was hot and tasted great. The prices are fantastic! I will, definitely, come back again.

Skillet breakfast was so good! Hubby's eggs, bacon n grits were perfect. Everyone is so friendly! You can customize your skillet, too! Can't wait til our daughter visits.

WE visit Heber Springs several times a year but just last week we found Peggy Sue's. If you like real diners you're gonna love this place. A lot of restaurants try and imitate the old fashioned diner atmosphere and very few ever get it right; Peggy Sue's is NO imitation it is the real deal. Greta food, service, staff, atmosphere, and even the prices! Cannot say enough about this little cafe!

There was a 10 to 20 minute wait to get in, but the food and service is amazing!!! Can't recommend Peggy's enough!

Great food. Food was fair priced. Some favs of myself and friends are the chicken salad on leafy greens. Biscuits are perfect!! Must get those.

Always great food with super portion sizes and friendly service with a smile! We order take out often during the week, since it is easier to eat at the store than go sit down at the restaurant. Peggy has a super cute little country restaurant too.

The food was delish...I cant say enough about the Western Omelet. The blueberry pancakes were also amazing. The service was over the top! Yes you have your waitress but every lady that walked passed us ask us if we needed anything, if everything was ok...We even got to meet Miss Peggy herself! What a fantastic lady. She complemented me on how beautiful my color was.... if she only knew how I felt about embracing my grey....she totally made my day.
I 100% recommend this restaurant!!! I do believe we will go back tomorrow!

Feels like a hideaway. Off the beaten path. The chickens are a gimmick. Good food and good people. All I can say.

Great breakfast and above average diner coffee. Would recommend and hope to come again.
