Still the best hardware store in Middle America. If you need it they have it. Also the friendliest and most knowledgeable folks who go out of their way to help you.

I like to visit this store when I am in the area. They carry all the traditional items of a hardware store from the 50's, including the things to actually repair appliances instead of trashing them. They have a huge selection of kitchenware, many such that were found in your grandparents kitchen. They also have a nice selection of things to decorate your home, and even unique baby gifts.

I have never been into such a diverse hardware store I absolutely love this place! There are so many things that I go to Ace Hardware, Lowe's, and Menards to find and can't and voila most the things I've been looking for are right here. The guys in there were great too, very helpful!

I visit this hardware store every time I go to Middlebury. They have unique items, especially at Christmas. I bought beautiful hanging snowflakes this year and they look lovely in my home. The staff is friendly and helpful. Love, love, love Varns & Hoover Hardware store!

This place was really a step or two back in time. They have such a huge selection of everything that is difficult to find these days (huge box stores keep taking places like this out). Staff was very friendly and helpful. They had plenty of house and gift wares to occupy my wife for quite awhile too!

Fully equipped hardware store with true hometown service. Set right in the center of town in an old building complete with creaky wooden floors. They also have gifts and toys.

Very rarely does this awesome, small town, family owned hardware store not have what I am looking for and even then, they usually have something better or something I didn't realize I needed until I saw it there. LOL We are fortunate to have this hardware store in the pleasant little town of Middlebury.

Varns is a fantastic home town hardware store. They carry just about anything you'd need and the staff are awesome! I definitely recommend!

May appear small from outside but they will likely have what you need for most home projects. Very helpful. Great gift shop too.

Varns and Hoover has been our hometown Hardware store ever since we were married. [ 50 years] They give personal help and attention, and I ask ,where else can you get a personal hug out on the sidewalk after helping me out?

All sorts of clothes, etc , but not for the "English". This is truly for Amish shoppers. Nice store.

As always I greeted promptly and was helped with my purchase. Just really like this store, and those who take care of me there.
