ProMedica Toledo Hospital

My 3 year old son had an outpatient procedure done and we had a great experience! Staff was amazing with him! Even the security guard gave him a card with a picture of his K9 partner. My son had fun even though he had surgery. Thank you to everyone that took care of him!

We had a family member in Toledo Hospital for 6 days on the cardiovascular floor 6B. We were extremely pleased with the care he received. The cardiologist, nephrologist and hospitalist worked with each other and treated the patient and family with respect. The PA’s for the doctors were just as caring as the doctors. We can’t say enough about the nurses and assistants. Their attitude and caring were first class! Not sure all the floors are this good, but 6B is probably the best care I have seen at a hospital.

I was taken to ProMedica by ambulance from Port Clinton on 9/12/23 & spent 10 days there. I had excellent care there from the Drs, Nurses, STNAs & even the sweet housekeeping lady! My family & I were all treated wonderfully! Going back 11/20 for OP surgery.

Had multiple fractures in my back and one in my face so I was admitted to the trauma unit and I received the best care to the point that I was surprised. I'm guessing the bad review people on here are lying in a good amount of the cases.

Edit: I'm an alcoholic and loser, just recently went back to Toledo Hospital for withdrawal and other alcohol-related issues. I was treated so well you can't even imagine. Finally a hospital that understood that I don't respond to medications like a normal person, and they very much accommodated that. And the food is decent but more importantly they let you order damn near as much as you want. I will always be grateful for this Hospital, even though it's ProMedica LOL

Spent a week here with my wife who had major abdominal surgery. The team through every step of the process was great.

But I especially want to shout out to Jacob, the RN who worked days on 5 REN West Med-Surg. He was amazing! He really took a personal interest in my wife's well-being. He researched her specific condition and the procedure that she had undergone so that he could better relate. He showed compassion and caring, and quickly became someone that my wife could confide in and turn to for support. He took time with her and and really seemed to genuinely care about her recovery, even making sure to pass on to the night shift the specifics of her ever-evolving needs. Everyone was great, but Jacob was just stand-out amazing!

I also want to acknowledge the cafeteria and its staff. First, the food was great. I basically ate 3 meals a day there for a week and never got sick of it. They had pre-made sandwiches, salads, and snacks, as well as desserts, fresh fruits and veggies, and even sushi. Then they also had made to order hot food. I had a turkey burger and personal pizza that were very tasty. Then there's breakfast! Sandwiches, a la carte favorites, and an omelet station that rivals any resort I've ever been to. Second, the staff was awesome as well. Super friendly and passionate about their work. The girl that served up my biscuits and gravy did it with such care. When I asked her about her technique she said that it makes a difference and I should be able to taste the love put into it. I could! Look, I know no one goes to the hospital for the food and probably no one chooses a hospital based on google reviews of the food either. But here's the thing: when everything is a struggle and the only thing you have to look forward to all day is a few moments to yourself to clear your head and grab a bite, it's nice when it doesnt suck, and I appreciate the efforts that go into making it nice for guests.

I was very please with the dentist who operated on my son's teeth, he was extremely patient with him and took his time and talked and worked him through it!! Great job, thanks!!

My mother recently spent a few days at ProMedica Toledo. I don't live in the area and I was impressed with this hospital. The rooms and hallways are spacious and clean. The staff was wonderful, particularly at night. If you need to be in a hospital, I would highly recommend this one.

The treatment and care I received at Toledo Hospital was nothing short of excellent. The doctors were great and I cannot say enough about the nurses. They were very caring and attentive, nothing short of excellent. Thanks to everyone.

LABOR AND DELIVERY

I was transferred to ProMedica Toledo Hospital on November 3rd, I had went to my 36 week appointment at the Bryan parkview group, I had the most amazing stay. I was in no pain. They did keep my epidural filled. I was induced as I went in for hypertension 160/100. The nurses helped with everything and they had even helped me with my baby. As I’m a first time mom. They kept snacks filled in my room and they sent me home with a lot of baby stuff. My son’s circumcision went amazing as well. He was all healed up in 2 weeks! I love this hospital much better than the Bryan hospital

Staff is taking very good care of my wife. Professional and super friendly. Facility and cafeteria is beautiful.

Got into the ER at a busy time on Tuesday night and I was taken care of immediately with the best possible care. I had the BEST nurses who were all so kind and caring about the pain I was in and getting me answers. Had a surgery with a great team that made me super comfortable and even better care after. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I can't say enough good about the staff, especially in the observation unit. Fabulous care. I was taken there because I was confused, at 62yrs that is not normal. I have no recall of that day but was told that the emergency crew whisked me in & started stroke procedure testing. After several tests done, I was diagnosed with TGA, a temporary loss of memory. My family was kept updated on my situation & I was very comfortable. Thank you for the great care👏👏

Toledo Hospital is the best! I had two incredible labor and delivery nurses from the time I arrived until I went to my postpartum room.

This was my first child, so I was very nervous going into Toledo Hospital for my induction. Christa Pollauf greeted me at the door and took me to my room. She thoroughly explained everything in detail to help me understand what was going on. She insured I was informed about everything that would occur and met all of my needs. She developed a personal connection with me and was extremely knowledgeable. This gave me and my husband a sense of peace before they started the process. She performed everything in a timely manner and was pleasant. At shift change, she introduced my new nurse. I was devastated she wouldn’t be there to see my baby being born.

Nicole Conger introduced herself and then took amazing care of me throughout the rest of my delivery. She has such a great personality that had me laughing even through some tough contractions. She made me feel at ease through delivery and before moving into my postpartum room. By having exceptional communication skills, she built a sense of trust with me. She took her time explaining everything to me, making me feel comfortable, and checking on me regularly. Even though I wasn’t her only patient being induced, I would never have noticed this if I didn’t ask. We had the chance to connect and discuss our personal lives which took the ease off of actually being in labor. Not only did she provide exceptional care, she showed expertise explaining everything that was going on in a way that made sense to me. She gave me realistic expectations. Nicole truly showed the qualities of being a great nurse. Her compassion to both me and my husband was evident throughout the entire process. When moving to my postpartum room, I was feeling a bit nauseous once I got into the wheelchair. I threw up a few times and Nicole was right there with me throughout the whole time. She quickly called a nurse for extra assistance when I was feeling dizzy. Multiple nurses showed up to help right before I passed out. Even through this, I still felt at ease with Nicole as my nurse. I am so thankful she had the opportunity to be there for my delivery!

Both of these nursers were committed to excellence as they didn’t just do their job, they went above and beyond making Toledo Hospital look even more exceptional than I already knew them to be. One can easily tell both of these nurses strive to be better, to work with efficiency and time management, while still providing the very best care. They were extremely prompt at providing for my needs. One of my biggest concerns was the safety for me and my baby. Both nurses, as well as all staff, worked to keep us both safe throughout the whole experience.The extraordinary experience I received at Toledo Hospital, as a first time mom, is one I will never forget. This is due to the amazing nurses I had throughout the delivery process. Thank you to Toledo Hospital for providing me exceptional care and a great staff throughout my entire experience.

Great experience with the delivery of our second child. From the nurse in OB triage (Erika?), labor and delivery (Katie), and OB (Tina and Tiffany) the entire staff did a wonderful job. They consistently made sure my fiancé and daughter were well taken care of. We'd give Tina 10 stars if we could for her assistance and guidance. Dr. Brodsky did a wonderful job keeping everyone calm during the labor and delivery process. Do not necessarily plan on having more children but if we do Toledo Hospital will be our location of choice! THANK YOU!

My Mom has been having excellent care 6B they are a truly caring staff!! Very attentive and she requires people to get her up and care in general. Her nurses have outstanding & gone above and beyond! The names I can remember: Andy, Alyssa, Marissa, Amy Charge Nurse, Veronica, and more!! CNAs Kiara, Richelle & more wonderful angels I just wish I knew all the names to thank! Sharon and Maria who are constantly fielding calls from our family -as the hospital operators you are awesome too!! What a great hospital staff! So very pleased! As a person in the medical field I can really appreciate all the hard work, empathy, knowledge & caring you give to the patients & families! You make the difference in our lives!!! Wait time is always long in the ER but I had the absolute sweetest nurse. Abigail in the ER is fantastic <3 and the radiology team was great. I appreciate the work y’all are doing!

I would come here with any issue. The Staff are always friendly and professional. Unlike the Promedica Hospital in my town (Monroe), Toledo Hospital has everything they could need to treat you right here, without having to send anything out. I can't say enough good things about the Doctors on Staff here. They really work to take care of you, and follow-up with you after you leave

Outstanding nurses, doctors, anesthesiologist. Everyone was very kind and confident in what they are doing. I felt very worried about my surgery and their attitude made me feel so relaxed, 100 percent recommend this hospital if you have a choice. Amazingly I didn't feel any pain (and I am a crybaby) at any stage. Easy recovery time.

I absolutely adored Toledo hospital. I had to have an unplanned c-section and they did such an amazing job. The staff was very friendly, and during the surgery there was a nurse whose sole role was to inform me of what was happening and why. It's a beautiful facility that took great care of me and my family.

This to all the Nurses in the Endoscopy unit. You guys ROCK! I was in yesterday2/8/22 for a procedure. As you were prepping me I watched in amazement your work flow and attitudes. It was a very hectic morning and as lunch approached the nurse in charge started sending one by one for quick lunch break. All of them responded with are you sure we have time? Not thinking of themselves one bit. And I could tell this was a rare luxury to them all. My wife and I both looked at each other and said there is no way we could such a job under those circumstances. And then to throw all the Covid protop calls on top of everything else! Thank you so much for the great care. So much appreciated by us mere mortals.
