Great historical site, especially if you know the story of the Pioneer Village at Spring Mill State Park. This is where it all began. Plus, the hibernating bats. Very cool.

We just kind of just stumbled upon this place yesterday and were very glad that we did! Beautiful scenery... A fantastic place to spend the day and I can't wait to go back

Absolutely loved this little place. Was some awesome caves here. There’s a gated gravel path that you can take that’s the easy path. If you want a real hike go on past that park and walk down the road to the creek and walk the path to the left from there. You will have to walk part of it in the creek bed so bring water shoes. Once you get to the grassy field cross the creek to the right and walk up the hill and stay right to find the cave. Come back the way you came but then continue right to at the fork to find another smaller cave and some pretty water falls.

A really nice hike along a scenic creek with a cave. Several waterfalls and numerous wildflowers on this hike. This place is truly magical !

Please stay out of the caves not only for the physical integrity of the cave, but for the ecosystem within as well. Hibernating bats can die from disturbances as well as the presence of white nose syndrome in North America. Cave salamanders use the pools and rock cover to lay eggs. Not only are these animals important to preserve, but your safety is important as well. Conditions inside the caves can be hazardous. High water and loose stone can cause injury or death. Please use caution and your better judgement to preserve Cave River Valley.

Wow. Spectacular. Not open to over the road vehicles nor all terrain vehicles. I hiked down the road and turned left to find a magical mystical wonderland. A great place to meditate. Moss covered rocks, trickling stream and waterfalls. So serene. A gem. Even on a cold November day it was well worth a visit. Very peaceful.

Would not recommend coming here with kids. This is not your typical park. Great place though!

A little on the rugged side but a great hike. The grass and weeds are a little overgrown adding to the natural charm of the area.. The trail went down and along the creek.. It was very peaceful..The view of the waterfalls and cave area was gorgeous.

Beautiful waterfalls and gravel walk way made for a good safe hike. I really wish they could put in a pit toilet or port a pot as there are no public restrooms near the area.

I love this place. We use to camp there when it was privately owned and did a lot of spelunking. We had not been back in years and decided to take a lunch and hike around. It is a very Relaxing ,Quiet, serene, place, to just either kick back and relax or hike to your hearts content

This is a interesting place to visit, the caves, the falls, the history attached, make it a perfect place to explore, I went a few days ago but think could be prettier in spring or summer.

Beautiful area that once was a tourist trap and now is retuning to a natural state. Plenty of wildflowers to be seen in spring and early summer.

This was a nice little hidden gem. Two caves and lots of old abandoned foundations. The hike had some nice elevation changes as well.
