H & R Bakery

Wow! What a cute coffee shop, very clean and lots of seating. It has the coolest miniature set up for a train set, you can add a quarter to see the train move through, it’s adorable! And the bakery has the best! I will drive out of my way to come here again

Just visited the new facility and was blown away!!! It is large and well thought out and beautiful! There is a much larger selection now of baked goods, more drinks, lunch sandwiches. We got the chicken salad and it was delicious on the wonderful homemade bread. Go!!!! Previous review-The BEST donuts anywhere!! Good prices! My favorite is the custard filled chocolate frosted!! Always fresh and soft. Can’t wait for their new expansion to open up. Very exciting!! Oh they are closed on Sunday.

Sweet little bakery in downtown Salem. This was our first time to salem and we stumbled upon this huge but cute bakery.
The staff are super friendly and they have a nice wide variety of Donuts and other sweet n savory items.
They serve coffee and latte and you should definitely try the Hazelnut Latte if you are a fan of that flavor.
The prices are also very reasonable.

Very cool bakery on the square. Donuts are delicious! Try the donut holes. Can't wait to taste the flavors we picked to take home.
The inside is neat to sit and check out the trains.

Great bakery! We ordered 2 iced Carmel lattes, very good. We also had an apple fritter and a peanut butter and jelly donut. They were both amazing.

This is one of the nicest bakery we have seen, huge place, freshly made donuts, friendly crew and plenty of space to enjoy your freshly made beverage to compliment your donuts.

Absolutely the best donuts I have ever had. I tried this bakery when I drive 3 hours for a car part and was told about it by the Chrysler parts store. Did not disappoint. If you’re within an hour you stop make the stop.

This is unquestionably the best place for donuts period. I've traveled all over the world and nothing compares to what you get from this place. Everything is fresh and made on-site. The prices are very competitive also. I haven't been inside the new location yet only because they have a drive thru now and it's super easy to get my fix that way. If you are ever in the area, this is a must visit location.

They have great vanilla lattes and DONUTS TO DIE FOR! Seriously, I wake up thinking about donuts from this place lol. Drive thru is slow but I wouldn't consider this place "fast food" like Starbucks. I'm grateful there's even a drive thru at all so I don't have to worry about parking or getting my stubborn toddler in and out of the car. I don't mind the wait. The workers have always been very kind to me and answer all my questions without attitude. I'm new to Salem, and have been very pleased with H&R so far.

The perfect hole in the wall cafe. I love this place! The asthetic, the desserts, drink varieties, the coffee; not only are they affordable they're GOOD! This location is train themed to match the city's local railroad history. From the outside H&R is unimpressive, unassuming and basic, but the inside is spacious with lots of seating and even couches to recline on. There is even a gas fireplace to admire.

Loved the donuts and decor. Very nice spot on the town square. Tough to cross the street so try and park on the same side as the bakery or use their drive through.

Attended Grand Opening of new location on the Salem square...very crowded...big event for our little town...owners and staff all dressed up for the occasion...were serving hot coffee and fresh bakery items...yum

The best donuts in the country! Had to grab my favorite donut holes while visiting!

This was a gem find on a road trip to see my niece play volleyball.
The donuts were airy and very good. I got the pecan stick. If they would still be open when I drive back through I would definitely stop. Going to add them to my favorites so I can find again when I am in the area.
