Martin State Forest Campground

Camped on a Monday night campground was quiet playground was nice if you have kids and the pit toilets were nice & clean. $13 a night is a few bucks higher that other places but not much and well worth it for a clean safe space to camp for the night. The Fire tower is cool but too shakey for us and could use some boards replaced.

Hidden gem. We travel the Highways so we can explore camping like this. Beautiful sites, some good hikes nearby. We stopped for one night on our way to Illinois, and were the only ones in the camp! Primitive sites however, drinking water all over camp and we are self contained so no worries.

Came across this Martin State Forest Camp Ground. This is a rustic campground with firepit, volt toilet, playground. $13 per night, look for registration this is an honor system with $110 fine if caught on a campsite for not registering. 14 days maximum stay. Some trails to explore. Campground and restrooms are accessible friendly ♿

Great campsites! Plenty of room and a large pond to fish if you like.

Very quiet out here...living primitive out here kinda sucks but its very quiet and clean

Very nice campground and well maintained. Do be aware that the USG plant nearby is noisy. It is running on a Sunday night. Not a place to go if you want real peace and quiet with just the sounds of the forest.
