Absolutely amazing place for families. 20+ playgrounds, bicycle fun zone and a small sized village. Lots of hiking trails and picnic areas. Great campground with full hookups and primitive sites.
Clean, modern shower houses and restrooms . Quiet time is at 8:30pm, kids and parents alike are typically worn out by this time. If looking for nightlife type camping, this is not it. No alcohol permitted, no loud music or parties allowed.

Lovely place to camp. Quiet after 8:30 pm, just how we like it. Saw staff regularly. Not a place to party (no alcohol and quiet hours start early). Nice hiking trails, Little Blue River (more of a creek in dry summer) nice for wading and multiple ponds for fishing. Golf carts for rent. Nice clean showers and bathrooms. Free trash pickup & firewood (I suggest a hatchet). Lots of playgrounds and beautiful landscaping and flower planters throughout. We experienced a power outage in our section (transformer, so not their fault) but it was restored before our battery ran out for the fridge. There was not a cooking grate over the fire, so if you plan to do that, then you will want to bring something. Lots of nature. Not far from Marengo and additional parks for hiking. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful place to have your wedding! With the chapel and the shelter house right next to each other. Everyone that works there is amazingly helpful and friendly. We also stayed at Annie and Buds cabin. It was so great having a furnished cabin. I highly recommend

Stayed in their Pine camping cabin and it was amazing. Heat/AC, refrigerator, microwave, shower, bathroom, mattresses on the beds, it’s much better than the little cabins at most campgrounds. The queen bed was in a second room with a barn door separating it from the main room with the bunk beds. I believe they have two different cabin layouts. We loved sitting on the deck with a view of the pond. Two pic-nic tables, a fire ring, and free firewood. The beauty of this park is amazing and so much stuff for kids to do. The front entrance to the cabin has no stairs. Definitely will be back here again soon.

Very nice private park. A lot of nice walking trails. All sites were level with free fire wood and garbage pickup! Super friendly office staff. Lots and I mean a lot of playgrounds for the children

When arriving, come from hwy 64. The way that Google has you getting there has you gon down a little hill over a grated bridge that you will drag your hitch on.

Give this campground a try. I was skeptical of all the good reviews but there is so much this park does right. There are 21 playground areas here. I was told the plan was for the parents to be able to watch their children from their campsite! Brilliant! There is so much to discover, so many well maintained and decorated areas to explore. It helps also that it is very close to cave country canoes or marengo cave or the French Lick area or the patoka lake area that you could easily make this a base camp. There are only a couple (I think) shower houses and they appear to be closer for the primitive camping areas but I checked one out and it was very clean. That may be one of the few downsides is the lack of shower houses. The camping areas are spread out so getting to a shower house might be a walk. I’m sure the plan is for the campers to use their own and the tent people can use the provided shower. Also, I wanted to mention that the road from the north which is the recommended entrance is a nice paved road. It appears on street view to be gravel, it is not. It is paved and not far out of the way. I came midweek which probably aided in the quiet relaxed feel because I bet it gets crowded on the weekend. I live an hour away and will return hopefully with grandkids. I was very hesitant on this park but my wife has said that it is now one of her favorites.

This privately run campground is superbly run by the staff. Our great experience started with a call from the staff when we hadn't arrived on our booked date, that was a first fir us! Most places don't care if you arrive as long as they have their money. The sites were level and a comfortable distance from neighboring campers. They provide the firewood and covered pavilions at no cost. If we had had children with us they could have enjoyed a small animal petting area, multiple playgrounds, room to ride bikes, and fishing. Would we recommend this campground? You bet! We plan to make more trips there too.

Beautiful park and campground. The kids will never be inside the camper with all the playgrounds and activities. Friendly staff and FREE firewood! Cute merchandise to look at. Beautiful pond and creek to play in
We had site 101 and worked great with our camper!

A favorite hidden gem for camping! This park is CLEAN! 20+ playgrounds. Very quiet and beautiful surroundings. A big creek runs through the property that's awesome for the kids to play in(it's very shallow). Plenty of wildlife to view and fishing holes to enjoy. Locked gate at nighttime for added piece of mind.

Love Love Love this place! It's so peaceful. We picked a campsite that (if all camps was filled) wouldn't be close to many campers. We had the creek right beside our campsite which was so nice to go to sleep and wake to. Every group of campsites had a playground. So the little kids could play at camp while the big kids went visiting the other areas.
Blue river is on the side where the RVs are and the kids went down there to play in the water. It was shallow in areas and deeper in others which made it perfect. It rained the 1st couple days we were there but that part of the river doesn't have rusing water even though it did get deeper for a little bit.
The shelter houses are very nice with fans, and lights.
They have 2 shower houses are separate parts of the park and bathrooms close to shelter houses.
They also have a play area specific for toddlers so they can play away from big kids and play buildings. 1 is the playhouse which has a Raggedy Ann theme, a school house for kids to play in and a Town Hall for Adults to hangout it (kids are allowed supervised). They also have 2 other buildings being worked on at the moment.
Also on the property they have a small petting zoo. The animals come up to the fence and love getting attention.
While there you will most likely come across a long haired stay cat who my daughter's named "Teddy". He loves attention and mostly friendly but at moment he doesn't like having his right ear messed with. Other then that, he is really great.
The staff was real nice and takes their job in making Sycamore Springs a happy and safe place for families to come and enjoy nature.
Because of how this place is ran, I was ok with my older kids running around knowing I didn't have to worry about somebody hurting them. Never felt safe doing at other parks where people would do anything and the workers didn't care.
To make it better, it's so much cheaper then other places. The Best Park I have been to yet!

Clean. Well thought out. You can be as close or as far away from others as you would like. We have not found a bad spot yet. My favorite campground. Staff are top notch.

Beautiful park with free fire wood and so many fun things for families. There is a little “village” of buildings for kids to play on and lots of gravel walking trails. Make sure to follow the directions from their website instead of google maps which put us on a tiny road that was ok with our 25’ TT but I think if your rig is big you might have problems.

Had a awesome time camping here. Very relaxing wish the park was a bit bigger but over all was a good time. Petting zoo, play village, toddler play ground, water fall, spiral staircase and much more. Camping was fairly cheap as well and there's free fire wood.

We visited Sycamore Springs Park and Campground over Derby weekend! We were fortunate to have a beautiful three day stretch of amazing weather.

Sycamore Springs is wonderful! The grounds are very well kept. The RV campsites are nicely spaced. We stayed in the Marth's Vineyard section (space 136) which had a nice lake view. Our site was more than long enough for our truck and TT (appx 55'). The site was slopped toward the lake with about a 4 foot drop on the side closest to the lake. Side to side we need two blocks to level out. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. The fire ring is a ring on the ground and does not have a cooking grate.

The park has 15 or more play sets for kids, basketball courts, fishing lakes/ponds, hiking trails, picnic shelters, and plenty of trees to hang a hammock in the shade. All roads are gravel and well kept. Quiet hours run from 8:30 to 8AM. In our section all was very quiet during that time!

We were close to a couple hiking trails: (1) Hemlock Cliff National Scenic Trail and (2) Yellow Birch Ravine Double Falls. Both were very nice! We had a number of ticks after the hike that we picked off.

Definitely recommend visiting for the weekend or even a quick day trip to see these beautiful grounds!

It's an RV/Tent/Cabin campground. There is are a wide assortment of areas keeping most of the RVs separated from the tent camping. Pay attention to the map when you are looking at spots to book. There's some that have almost no shade and others that are well shaded. Most of the tent area is well shaded. 136-141 are only shaded in the early morning so Some campers pull through backwards or back in to face their doors to the east (towards the cabins on the hill), unfortunately if you center on the lot that means you're facing the power pole and sewer connection so you're going to want to be offset to one end of the other. 50 amp hookup also means 30 amps and 15/20 amp so there's lots of power connections. Water pressure is good and water smells good. There truly are lots of playground areas for the kids and a small "village" to roam. Lots of trails to walk and paths to take and explore. Piles of firewood all around the park near your fire pits to grab what you like and burn. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Pickup after your pet and dispose of properly. While walking around there were many piles left by dogs that the owner blatantly ignored the parts request to clean up after your pet. Also keep them on a leash, one morning we opened our camper door and hit someone else's dog with our door, other times the dog just roamed near our camper. Overall a good campground and one I won't mind visiting again.

Restrooms and shower house was super clean. Plenty of hot water. Primitive camping was a great deal for $10/night compared to state park prices. Very beautiful campground, tons of room, felt very safe and secure here. Great for stargazing. Plenty of exploring to do. & free firewood during your stay. Definitely recommend camping here! You can tell they put a lot of love into this place.
