Schmitt Furniture was recommended to me by a friend who has had her sofa for years, and it still looks great. My previous sofa from another retailer did not last even two years before looking tired and worn, so I decided to try Schmitt instead. My salesperson was very knowledgeable in the different brands sold by Schmitt Furniture, telling me all about the types of springs used and different warranties included or offered in addition to them. He was also very patient while my family and I tried every sofa in the store and poured over the many fabric options. I was able to get my new sofa delivered in just over a week, as I ended up buying one of the sales floor models. The delivery guys were very professional, making sure they covered the doorway and floors where they were moving my sofa. Customer service was on the phone before the delivery men left to ensure that I was happy with the product, and I am. Schmitt Furniture is family-owned and local, I will continue to shop here for my furniture needs.

I can’t say enough good things about our experience with Schmitt Furniture! We purchased a complete family room set over 25 years ago it helped up so well & we loved it. We also had a great experience during the purchase & delivery. So when it came time to purchase a new set we went there first. Jerry was our salesman, kind, informative & not “pushy”. I felt pressed for time to purchase something due to a family members up coming surgery. After getting it home and realizing it wasn’t the set for us. Adam the store manager was so understanding about my situation & worked with me to get another one picked out and make the swap! Adam and Jerry went above and beyond to make things work out. We love our new furniture & the way we were treated, so we will certainly go back.

The BEST furniture store with AMAZING customer service! My experience was PERFECT from beginning to end. Right when I walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff that allowed me to browse around on my own, touching base with me periodically until I was ready to ask some questions. Then, when I was struggling to make some decisions on fabric & leather colors, they introduced me to their interior designer that is always at the store to help. She made the process so much easier and gave me the confidence to move forward that day. I even got to meet a Schmitt family member that actually works there, the 4th generation owner. This place is awesome! Don't even get me started on all of the character that their historic buildings have to offer. It is so cool that there are still family owned & operated businesses that treat you like a real person & actually care about you as a customer. And of course... When it came time for delivery, their men were in Schmitt uniforms & arrived in a huge blue Schmitt truck so I knew exactly who they were & what was going on... Glad to see they are able to have their own delivery men & trucks instead of a 3rd party delivery service that doesn't really care. Like I said, PERFECT experience from beginning to end.

It's great to know that customer service still exists and thrives at Schmitt Furniture. We've been Schmitt customers for years, and there's no reason why we would go to another furniture store. The selection and quality are top-notch, and so is the entire team -- from sales experience to delivery. Free delivery within 50 miles is not something you often find these days. The cherry on top is that you're supporting a family-owned and locally-owned business. Would gladly add another star to the review, if one was available.

We just took final delivery of our yutzy furniture and flexible bed. This is solid wood and will last year's and can be passed on to family. The delivery guys are very careful and did a great job setting up. Thanks to Schmitt Furniture you have the class and quality we will enjoy for our lifetime. Salesperson Lori was very knowledgeable and helpful with our purchase and Leeann kept me updated on the arrival and delivery times. Thank you!

We have worked with Schmitt furniture and sales professional Jo for almost a year. The experience has been wonderful. With Jo's help we have refreshed 3 rooms with beautiful Flexsteel and Canadel furniture. The selection at Schmitt is huge and they carry quality pieces. The service department has also been very attentive to a couples issues. Everything is resolved and the new furniture looks great. Looking forward to returning for more in the future!

I can not say anything to do Schmitt's justice for the service they provided me. We were at crunch time looking for a lift chair for my mother who was coming home with Hospice. We had checked with 4 other retailers before calling Schmitt's. Schmitt and Steven Moore went out of their way to be sure we could have the chair in 2 days. Everything from offers of taking one from the store to use until we could get one in to moving the normal delivery days to make sure it was ready for her. This was a reminder as to why you support local businesses who care about the customer. I will always go here first from now on when shopping for furniture!

I recently purchase a recliner chair for my elderly mother. I highly recommend Schmitt furniture as the whole purchasing and delivery experience was super easy and the personnel I dealt with provided top notch service! I have to say that they seem to care about their customers needs and comfort! After trying to break the chair in, my mother found the chair was too uncomfortable to use. I called Schmitt furniture and in no time there was a service tech at my door who changed the padding and completely fixed the issue! A true testament of perfect customer service! My mother is happy! I will definitely choose Schmitt furniture for all my furniture needs!

Excellent customer service! Schmitt had to come to my home to repair a sofa. There was no charge to come and evaluate the problem, also Steve the technician was able to repair my sofa , again no charge! Thank you Schmitt Furniture!

Run don't walk to Schmitt Furniture if looking for a business that stands behind their service. This is a family owned business that operates the way all businesses should. I had a recliner serviced and they didn't charge a thing. Not even a service call. The tech with utmost professionalism said, "That's how Schmitt does it!" It's the second time I've had to call them in the 5 years that I've had the sofa and that's how they've always done it. Another advantage is that they have people who actually answer the phone. They're prompt. They're dependable. Support family owned businesses. I recommend you support this one.

I bought a sofa and loveseat and dealt with two salesmen (Kirk & Stephen) and they were both great. No high pressure sales techniques but helped me find all the different furniture sets they had in stock that matched what I was looking for and answered all of my questions with patience and attention to what I was saying. I looked around at a lot of other furniture stores and most were just plain lazy. Treated me like I was not a buyer and was too much trouble to give me the time of day. Well sorry for their loss, I bought from Schmitt. I did have a couple problems with the furniture that I didn't notice until after delivery and the fixed all of the issues without any hassles and in a timely manner. This is the second time I have bought furniture from this company and I'll tell you they have earned my business for life! Very good company to do business with. It's hard to find companies now a days that treats customers like they actually care. I wish there were more companies that did business like they do! Thank you Schmitt Furniture.

We just received our new mattress from Schmitt Furniture! The employees were so helpful and friendly throughout the entire process. Zack helped us decide on the best mattress for us. He was very knowledgeable! Our mattress arrived in a timely manner and we couldn’t be happier!! It’s so comfortable (which makes it hard for me to want to get out of bed each morning). 😁 We highly recommend Schmitt furniture for all your furniture and mattress needs!! You won’t be disappointed.

I had a wonderful experience tonight at Schmitt! The person to ask for is a very knowable lady, named Lori. She's super knowledgeable in everything the multiple floors has to offer. We bought a couch today.. but can't wait to come back and pair different things together when we get settled into our new home. She is legit 100% the best person to know. We felt we were talking and taking guidance from a professor that had a masters degree in interior design. Top notch!

Jo Roe is a very professional, patient saleswoman . She had all the answers , very knowledgeable on the products , didn’t pressure us in any way . After looking at several sectionals we went with our first choice of Flexsteel leather couch and love seat . We could have went with cheaper companies and cheaper models of furniture but we went with the best of both - Schmitt and Flexsteel. Growing up in the 70s and 80s we all heard the Schmitt commercial of being at the corner of State and Main in New Albany , the store feels like you stepped back and the nostalgia just flows as you move around the store . Take my advice , go visit and see what they have , look at the pictures on the walls , it speaks of success and love of family and community , you might just find everything you’re looking for in a furniture store . Schmitt furniture made it easy for me to decide between multiple options. So easy I bought a couch/love seat and a sectional as well. Adam helped me decide on which couches would fit in living room, basement and narrowed it down to what would look best. Even took measurements on his own time. It ended up being a no brainer going with the Schmitt furniture especially with them having multiple items in STOCK! Appreciate the customer service. I’ll be purchasing again in the future!

Myself and my husband were in the market for a new mattress and box springs. We had never been to Schmitt Furniture. My friend Karen, highly recommended them to us, so we thought we would see what they had to offer in the way of a new mattress and box springs. When we arrived there, we were greeted by Adam Browning, whose position there was a sales manager. He took us upstairs to show us a large selection of mattress from several different brands. His knowledge about mattresses was exceptional. My husband is very picky when it comes to his sleep. After about an hour, we decided on a beautiful Restonic Connor Firm mattress. We took delivery two weeks later. The delivery team called around 9:15AM on our day of delivery and gave us a two hour window of when they would be arriving. They told me they would be arriving between 2:00 & 4:00. They arrived promptly at 2:20 and were finished and driving away in about 15 minutes.

Our experience with Schmitt's Furniture was 5-star. We will definitely be back to check them out for our next furniture purchase.

I loved how when we walked in we were greeted by a sales associate then left to shop on our time. I really dislike when sales people hover. Once we finally made up our mind, which wasn't easy because of all the great options, Kelly drew everything up and made the sale an easy and very enjoyable experience. The loveseat we ordered was to be delivered on Saturday but on Friday I decided to purchase another piece. Not expecting them to deliver it at the same time since it was such short notice but Jo did everything she could and was able to get the second piece on the truck so we got them at the same time. I will definitely be back when it is time for our bedroom set!
