Marengo Cave U.S. National Landmark

It was a mesmerizing experience! The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable, providing fascinating details about the cave’s history and formations. The stunning stalactites, stalagmites, and underground water created a magical atmosphere. The pathways were well-maintained, ensuring a safe exploration. A highly recommended adventure for nature lovers and curious explorers alike!

We had visited Marengo in 2020 and bought tickets to both cave tours, but only used one set of tickets that day. We were told they never expire. Today I pulled the tickets out of my glove box 4 years later and used them without issue. The guides seem to be very knowledgeable about the caves and formations and give a fun but informative tour.
There is a big gift shop and pizza shop to browse while you wait for your tour to start (we waited 25 minutes). There are other activities like gem mining, playground, pedal katrs, hiking trai, etc. Good family trip.

It was like entering another world! Couldn't believe we were 200ft beneath the ground at some point! I learned so much, and it was incredibly interesting. The formations were beautiful. To think that kind of beauty exist beneath our feet! The tour guides were fun and informative! Gift and rock shop were great! Nice little pizzeria we had lunch in. A 5star trip for certain!!

Amazing cave with 2 awesome guided tours. There is a gift shop, campground, and a pizza place as well as a playground attached. Fun for the whole family.

We were a little skeptical about the tours because of it being a national landmark mark, but it was surprisingly relaxed. Our first tour guide was a little stiff and not really not really a great sense of humor, but she was informative. Our second tour was with Jordan and he ABSOLUTELY redeemed the whole day for us. He was fun, participated in our silliness (see the tiny hand pic) and was crazy smart. If you get a chance to make it I highly recommend requesting a Jordan tour! Lastly I don't really recommend purchasing the wristbands tho unless you have small kids. We didn't really get a value out of them, but we loved the rock mining!

We had a great time. My son who is ten said this was a 10 out of 10. I recommend both tours. The prices is like $88 and some change but really worth it. If you buy one ticket tour i guarantee you’ll be wanting to buy another one. If you buy only the hours you select don’t matter really. They told me they had to put hours in otherwise you couldn’t buy a ticket. They run based on the tour group and who’s already touring it. So much fun. We were exhausted and did t stay for the side activities but the food was really good too.

We had a great time at Marengo Cave! It is beautiful. Our tour guide, Jordan, was informative and funny. The gift shop had so many cool rocks and crystals! And they were reasonably priced. We ordered a salad and pizza. Both were extremely good. I think locals come just for the food! The Sky Climber was not what we expected, and we were a little disappointed in how difficult it was to climb. The kids never made it to the top. Aside from that, we were very happy with our trip.

Great trip for my daughter's 10th birthday, and tours were perfect for my young nieces. It was their 1st cave trip, and for me and my sister it was a return to a cave we visited with our father when we were young.

Great tour of the cave. Tour guide was great. Nice find for a couple passing through. We would definitely visit again to do the longer tour

It is 52 degrees in the caves, so wear long sleeves

The caves were awesome and very impressive! But more so our tour guide, Hope, was amazing! Her knowledge, passion and enthusiasm definitely made the tour!! 🙌 The owners are very fortunate to have such a stellar employee! Well done!!!

We had my daughter's wedding in the cave! It was beautiful! We had a few hiccups in the ceremony (officiant being very late) and the staff was soooooo helpful and understanding!!! They (especially Jenny) went above and beyond our expectations 💖

The tour guide was great. I definitely recommend doing both tours. Great activity for history lesson of the cave and to escape the summer heat!

The cave was beautiful. We were a little disappointed that there were no crystals at Crystal Palace. I think you should clarify that. But I will definitely be back because it was amazing.

We had a fantastic day trip to Marengo caves. The caves themselves were breathtaking, and the rest of the establishment was clean. The guides were knowledgeable and fun. Recommend getting tickets for the combo hike, as they are more reasonable. It’s perfect for families with kids, as both tours are kid friendly.

My family including two young teen boys really enjoyed both walking cave tours. Best caves we’ve ever seen. Wait times were reasonable and it was well-organized. Plenty of nice merchandise for purchase, plus snacks and drinks. I recommend good shoes, as these are wet caves and some surfaces can be slippery. We didn’t do the other activities, but there are some activities that could keep younger kids happy for most of a day.

We had a great time the Caves are very very cool.The staff was above excellent. Our guide on both tours we went on was awesome and did a great job. I believe her name was Maddy but I'm not positive. If you're thinking about going I suggest you do it.

Drove here by coincidence, not disappointed it was a great experience my only thing was to hear the guy that was guiding us into the caves but everything else was wonderful even the pizza at the restaurant
