Kent Christian Church

The Location on the Google Maps is wrong. The Church is Located on State Rd 256. In the town of Kent. Sometimes it comes up correctly and sometimes it doesn't. If you use Google maps on an iPhone or iPad it is correct, on an android device it is hit and miss

Was only there for a funeral, but everybody was nice and they accommodated us all with food and their blessings.

This is not the location. Google maps is wrong. Kent Christian Church State Road 265,
not State Street in Madison. The address is correct, where they are showing is on the map is not.

Great church

The church has good people who go there, but they dont realize what actually is going on!! ***One Wednesday I was off work, so I decided to go to church that night. I sat down in the pew. I seen everyone going up front to get a paper off the communion table. So I went up to get one so I could just follow along. We'll when I went up and grabbed one. The Preacher said it would be $20. (because it's the college course) I told him I just wanted to follow along like every body else was doing.. He said it would be $20 if I wanted to take the course. So I put the paper down and went back to my seat. I stayed thru the end. But never went back except for the day our son had preached. Sad thing is we have put alot of money in to that church. My husband had mowed the grass for free. And now I'm having to pay $20 for a piece of paper that was just printed off the copier. Does that mean I have to also pay $20 for a church bulletin on Sunday mornings or pay $20 for a church flyer that has all the events for that month at the church?? ***Our Adult son got in trouble by a Elder and the Preacher for wearing shorts that were (nice and clean) after the sermon that night they told him never come to church again wearing those... The next Sunday morning service I had seen 7 grown adults wearing shorts also!!! ***There are 3 men Elder, Preacher and Associat Preacher who constantly belittling and putting our son down all the time no matter what. My husband had sent a group tex to the men to basically tell them to back off and to stop!! The church has good people in it but the sad thing is they dont know about whats really going on. ***Then our son was getting a new job, that was closer to home and better pay. So that he can take his college classes. We'll the Preacher and Elder was telling our son not to take the job. The Preacher told Our son not to take the job because our son will end up just his dad (who is a hard worker and works 6 days a week providing for his family) ***A great mean who went there and he had passed away. He had made a comment to my husband about the Preacher... And we had just realized How True his comment was. He had said that the church pays the preacher alot of money to do a good job. But all the preacher does is sits beside a desk all week. He doesn't go see the elderly people who are in the hospital, or makes house calls to check on the elderly people who had built that church up from the ground. Yes they have elders and decons but they don't do it either. ***We have a great friend who use to Preach at Kent Christian Church a long time ago. We have been friends with him over 45 years. We'll we also had found out that the current Preacher at Kent had told our Adult son to stay away from our friend who is a awsome preacher also.... The current Preacher had told our son that our friend is a bad influence!!! We were mad and upset that the Preacher current would do something like that. We use to look up to him as a Christian brother. But who in the world would do that and stoop that low.... The current preacher would preach about encouragement on Sunday, then turn around do all of this to our son and my husband. My husband also looked up to him as a brother in christ, then would belittle and treat my husband the same way. ***My son was thing about he wanted to become a preacher. So he had went to take some college Bible courses. The preacher had told my son was going to preach on this certain date. The Preacher had told my son if he wanted to preach then he had to go to JC Penny's and buy a nice suit and tie. My son did a awsome preaching that day. Then things had changed.... Our son's dreams was to preach, but now he has no desire to do it because of how he has been treated. It truly breaks our hearts that we love the members that go there. My husband said he has no desire to ever go back and that also breaks my heart...💔💔
