Bali Makasih - Island Imports

Love this store and love the owners! Bali Makasih Island Imports is the first store my daughter Bella and I like to visit when in Nashville! They are so good to my girls and we love to shop there! They have the most unique and beautiful gifts made in Bali!

This shop is absolutely incredible! One of a kind handmade items, all of them are intricate, unique and beautiful. The store is deceptively large and has thousands of items, it is really quite astonishing! The prices are very reasonable which is not something you find very much anymore.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit today. How I was treated had me leaving not only the shop, but Nashville as well, very happy. When I asked for a specific incense holder, the shopkeeper helped me search high and low. After finding the perfect piece for me, she also took her time helping me pick out incense which I was very grateful for. It was easy to have a pleasant conversation without feeling pressured to buy something. The shop was very well laid out. Even though it's a smaller interior, I never felt crowded.

There is a small friendly cat that roams around. If you're allergic to cats or incense, be advised, though it's a beautiful store with some cool stuff to look at. Please make a stop the next time you're in town.

This shop is fantastic! It’s full of gorgeous pieces that would look great in a home, garden, or in my case ... my massage practice! The owners were very kind and helpful - you can tell that together they bring their passion and knowledge into their business to create a welcoming shop with a little something for everyone (men and women alike). They were able to tell us the types of wood used to make their products and how certain pieces were made. I purchased several items that I now have prominently on display around my own store, and I’ll be saving up for our next Nashville trip to buy more!! As an added bonus - they even had a sweet little cat ‘assisting’ at the check-out counter! 😊

What a fun place! Many one of a kind items and many similar ones so you can buy multiples with exact duplicates. We spent a few bucks there ourselves. Now many old timers may not be use to a gift shop with an Asian origin in Nashville, but it's fresh and unique. Do yourself a favor and stop in.

Amazing shop! We came to Little Nashville over the weekend to see the town and we all agreed what made our trip: this shop. The owner was extremely generous; she informed us on the cultural context of the items sold there. We even got extra incense; overall, an amazing shop which I would recommend to anyone visiting Little Nashville!

This is hands down one of the coolest stores I’ve ever been to. I felt the good energy as soon as I walked through the doors; the owners are extremely kind and nice wholesome and would love to teach you about anything you have questions about. The products are amazing and show some of the culture in Bali. You haven’t experienced Nashville until you’ve been here.

I really loved this little shop. A couple family members and I went Brown county for a couple days, and we went into this shop. The owner was extremely nice and helpful. She even made sure her cat wasn't bothering us. Everything that I saw was well priced, especially for the great quality that everything was. We went there twice on the same day, because I really wanted to go back and get more things after I knew how much money I could spend there. When we went for the second time, the owner actually was really, really nice and gave me a little elephant statue after we payed.

Some might think Bali Makasih Island Imports is not a good fit for Brown County. I say this because a couple other shop owners in town misdirected me when I asked where I might find this shop. One told me correctly, Ironwood Flowers (thank you).

That said, the owner's of Bali Makasih are kind, wonderful people! I went in hoping that they would carry Molton Glass Terrariums which are mainly made in Bali, Indonesia. Not only did they have them but had some that were on seashells instead of a wood base and some that were wall pockets! I had not seen these anywhere else! They had so many in different shapes and sizes, I was thrilled! You can find the ones on wood bases on the Internet but something like this you want to see before purchasing because quality and shape can vary wildly. The quality of the glass on Bali Makasih's ones are the highest quality I've seen!!! As if I wasn't already overwhelmed with the choices, the owner REALLY wanted me to find just the right one! He took me back to the store room and showed me many more! I ended up buying a wall pocket one on a gorgeous wood base.

I was treated like a Queen! The owner is very knowledgeable and willing to share that knowledge. We spoke for some time. I encourage you to visit! I will stop in every time I visit Brown County and feel like I've met new friends! Thank you for a beautiful item but just as much, thank you for the care you show to your customers. That care began before I made a purchase. ❤ These folks are an asset to Brown County.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience here! Out five year anniversary was coming to brown county indiana. I absolutely loved this place and the owners were very helpful and amazing!!! They are down to earth and very friendly. I love all the items they have to offer! I’m a fan of Bali Makasih Imports!!! Also love the incenses. I’m definitely coming back with the kiddos!! thanks for a great experience! ❤

This is such a beautiful a positive place that every time we come to Brown county this is one of the first stops I make. The owners are angels and very knowledgeable always teach me something new. I wish I lived closer I’d go once a week! Thank you for blessing Nashville with culture and spirituality

This place is seriously cool. Decent prices for the selection and quality of the items, too. Nice to see a shop here with original items that aren't a ripoff. We will be back.

Very cool shop with lot of exotic items from Bali. The musical instrument section is worth exploring. Lot of variety of decorative stuff available including carvings of coconut shell. Owners are very attentive and helpful. Overall, a must visit shop in Nashville, Indiana.

Lots of cool items to choose from. Love the musical items. Whatever incense they had outside burning smelled sweet and didn't bother my allergies.

So much too see!!! A little bit of everything offered. The people working the store were so amazing and accommodating. It was so hard to choose between items to buy because you could spend so much so easily. This is definitely a place to visit and take your time to peruse the store carefully so you don't miss anything!!!

Stopped here after a day off tourist-ing. Absolutely beautiful products at honest and fair pricing. As soon as you enter you can feel the labor of love and dedication that makes this place genuine. We will shop here every time we're in town.

1st time been to Bali makasih . My wife buy a dream catcher and she love it so much . And the bussines owner are so kind and so welcome to customer . Beautiful place and a lot of unique souvenir there .
