Carriage On The Square Smokehouse

We had brisket pony with bbq kettle chips and loaded mac&cheese. Both awesome!! Great service! And love the bare-brick restaurant.

If you are in or even close to Greensburg, you must stop for lunch/dinner at Carriage on the Square Smokehouse. You will not be disappointed. The smoked chicken was my favorite and my husband had the brisket nachos! We would rate this restaurant a 10 if we could! Oh and the prices are VERY reasonable.

One of the best BBQ places I have ever eaten. They have some unique mixtures of different combinations to choose from. Highly recommend trying it. Once you try it, you will be back!!

It was our first time, and the staff went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. They talked to us as we entered, as we waited for our order, and on the way out to ensure service and food were great - and they were!

Stopped by this restaurant based on reviews and food selection while in the area on business.

The menu has some really cool twists on bbq, nachos, potatoes and more. I ordered McKee Street brisket nachos. The presentation was good, but the flavors were great. Way more than I could eat but certainly delicious.

After dinner I tried one of their many flavors of ice cream made in-house. The dirt pudding was my order and it was delicious as well.

The staff were very gracious and grateful to each guest thanking them for coming in.

I’ll certainly come back when in the area and highly recommend you do the same.

We stopped for lunch and had the brisket nachos. They were very good. The service was OUTSTANDING! They were going to be late opening, and kept us informed. I believe the gentleman's name that helped us was Clark. He was very kind and friendly and didn't know a stranger. He is a true asset to Carriage On The Square. They had a rough morning, and you couldn't tell out of any employee. Everyone one in there spoke and thanked us for coming in. All the employees were very appreciative and grateful for our business. It's not something you typically see these days. I would HIGHLY recommend this place. Great food but even better service!

We met friends here and loved the food. Passing through Indiana again and had to stop. The homemade ice cream is incredible!!!! Can't stop thinking about it. The texture is so thick and creamy. Peppermint is yum!

Wow, this may be my most favorite place to eat. Excellent smoke flavor on the meat, sauces are absolutely amazing. Top it off with delicious homemade ice cream. The cheesy rice stack with brisket and jalapeño sauce and smoke sauce was amazing. Sweet Mariona and Vanilla ice cream, such great flavors. Excellent place to eat. Atmosphere was great too. Thank you.

That smell! As soon as you open the door that smokey smell hits you...I knew I was in for some good food & I wasn't wrong. The Runaway Carriage is so filling! I've never had a potato so big. It was loaded with pulled pork, cheese, baked beans & sauce. The smoked potato was cooked through to perfection, & the pork was so tasty. Hubs had ribs & slaw...oh, my, fall off the bone goodness! The dry rub mixed with something that I swear makes them a little like candied ribs. Order at the counter, find a seat (inside or out) & they bring the food to you. Service was excellent. I certainly felt appreciated for being there. Very recommended!

Oh my. I am writing this at Thanksgiving level of full. Portions were amazing! Creativity shows in every single dish. I split the nachos, had the Mac-nificent to myself, and tried a single rib. Every single ingredient was fresh. The nachos had two sauces and still kept their crispiness. The Mac-nificent was the perfect front man for the entire meal. Fresh ingredients, smooth Mac, and amazingly tender meat. The ribs came out with a pickle sauce and a jalapeño sauce on the side. The pickle sauce was smooth, but they should bottle the jalapeño sauce. Low spice and yet fully smooth pairing with everything that was left to try it with.
At this point, I was beyond full. The meat was so tender that I didn't realize how full I was until I was completely full. And then the owner offered us a taste of his homemade ice cream.
I'll just say that his menu and smoking skill made him an artist, but that ice cream takes him to a whole nother level. Hear the flavors, pick the one that sounds remotely up your alley, and loosen your belt. It is so good.
Whether you are coming by for a meal with family or grabbing a coffee from next door and ice cream here, this spot in the heart of Greensburg, Indiana, will not disappoint.

From out of town and heard we should try this place. Hands down the BEST ribs I've ever had. And I am super picky about ribs. My sister is a chef and makes amazing ribs and I think I even like these better than hers! 😮 (🤫 don't tell her!). They were also very accommodating to me, my husband, my daughter, and super picky eater of a son. 😂 If I ever come back to Greensburg, Indiana I will definitely stop here to eat. ❤ Thanks for the delicious meal and excellent service, you guys.

The best BBQ in the county hands down!!!! Love going here every Friday for a dinner date with my hubby. The service is amazing but the food is even better 😋. I could eat here everyday and not get sick of it...

Best ice cream in the state. Blue moon and Ube ice creams are phenomenal. Meat is high quality is always smoked to perfection every time.

Stopped in at the recommendation of the locals, glad I did. Kiddo had the pulled pork sandwich, I had the Atomic Pony, we both loved every bite. Great value for the amount of food you get and it's tasty to boot!

I loved the Pony, nachos but better: pulled pork layered with kettle chips and BBQ sauce, topped with shredded cheddar. The Atomic has just the right amount of heat, the pork was sweet and moist, and the cheese married well with the jalapenos.

I'll make a point of visiting whenever I'm coming through. Great vibes. Cool owner.

I’m not much for leaving reviews but this is my most fav chicken wrap EVER. Smoked chicken is 🤌🏼💋! Owner is SUPER personable and remembers you after just a few visits. We’ve been around 10 times or so and always had the same thing. I could eat these at least twice they’re that good. Wraps are huge, I’m a big gal and I can’t eat the whole thing!
