Point Lobster Bar & Grill

When I was a kid my dad would take me blue fishing on the Queen Mary and we would sometimes grab a cup of clam chowder or a fish sandwich after our trip at Spike’s fish market- which is within walking distance from Point Lobster. Now I come here, because a friend turned me onto it - but you can’t go wrong at either place for fish and shellfish to eat in or take out, already prepared or fresh as anything. At Point Lobster obviously you want their Lobster Roll; they’re known for them. On a recent trip I got some raw clams and oysters on the halves, a cup of New England (I thought it was the bowl size - it was huge) and a salad with blackened swordfish. My buddy got the lobster roll and the fried scallops. I tasted one - it was heavenly. This place can get jam-packed depending when you go, so if you time it correctly toward an off hour, you’ll have no problem with parking. BYOB if you are eating it, they have a medium sized seating area that is always nice and clean and the service has always been very attentive and efficient. One of my favorite places.

Such a great shore place! The atmosphere and the service are great. Food is wonderful. Have the garlic shrimp appetizer.. you won't be disappointed. It can get really busy there so plan ahead! Update 3/28/24- always a great place for lunch on Good Friday to get you through a day on the boardwalk.

Point Lobster Bar & Grill has a relaxed atmosphere. The back dining room is more quiet and is a bit more restaurant like. The front of the house has a bar and high top seating. That’s where they have the game on the tv and where they have live music on the weekends. The ahi tuna nachos are delicious. And their stuffed lobster is yummy too. The lobster comes with corn and potatoes. Drinks are decent! Delicious meal!

Food was awesome I got the point lobster roll and oysters, with a sun cruiser tea and cranberry transfusion. Nate our waiter was super attentive and friendly. Definitely coming back! I love the atmosphere here

The food and service are Amazing!! The only thing negative I could say about this place is the noise level is obnoxious! I couldn't ever eat there again sadly. I would definitely take out.The Paella was fresh and amazing....the brussel sprouts and chorizo are to die for!! I was just so disappointed in people hitting into my chair and the entertainment was so loud that people kept screaming on top of each other to try and have a conversation.

Great food, great atmosphere and great service. You won't be disappointed!

Stopped in for a Friday lunch mid-April on a nice sunny day when the doors were open to the street. Not too busy so we got seated quickly and enjoyed a beer/cocktail to start. I had the flounder sandwich and M.E. had the tuna nachos. Both were excellent dishes and we felt we made great choices, because lunch items were kinda limited on the menu. Prices were fair, service was good and the atmosphere was just right. Recommend although I don't know what it would be like in the summer.

Nice seacost bar with fish meals and rural atmosphere. So many sport’s channels and good vibes!

The kids fried shrimp was really good, stole a few from my kid but the portion was very generous, so I didn’t feel too bad. Lobster roll was great too!

Staff is 5 star! Drinks are absolutely Amazing! Best seafood I've had in Years. If you haven't been here your missing out! Point Pleasant has needed an establishment to fill void for quite awhile! Casual Laid back fine dining at its Best!! The pictures say it all

It was our first time here and we really enjoyed it. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The menu had great selections. We had the brussel sprouts with chorizo, it was amazing. I had the warm lobster roll. My friend had the surf and turf burger. She can't have dairy or gluten and the staff was super helpful with her and choices on the menu. The restaurant was very clean, bright and cheerful. I would definitely go back and I highly recommend

We went here with my Mom for Mother's Day. The restaurant is clean and inviting and the staff was inviting and friendly. On the whole, the food was delicious, however, I must report my mother's lobster was overcooked. I would suggest it was an exception, not the rule, because the rest of our meal was delicious and perfectly cooked. We will absolutely be returning!

This place is great! Decor is very cool and staff friendly. Seared tuna was awesome, also had the the seaweed salad, highly recommended. Kids had coconut shrimp, carrot cake and mint ice cream brownie. Also very good. Must go!

Only down side is no reservations, so be prepared... I think they let you call ahead the day of and they can set a table for you.

Super fresh seafood and cooked properly. Our waitress was great keep our drinks full. The only problem is we wanted to try everything on the menu. We had the baked clams, drunk and angry clams, Brussels and chorizo as appetizer they all were great. Dinner was a jumbo lobster angry style, a burger and fries, seared scallops with lobster corn risotto and zuppa di pesce, all were fantastic! Can't wait to return and sample more.

This place is amazing!!! I had their bacon egg and cheese egg rolls on their brunch menu ! To die for !!! Then my boyfriend had the surf and turf and he had the shrimp and grits and let me tell you it’s phenomenal!!! The owner was so nice she gave us free dessert ! See Stephanie she’s a great bartender and the prices are so affordable ! I love this spot !!!

Our server, Dane, was excellent in every service angle and I'm 33 years in the restaurant business. The food and drinks were perfect. HIGHLY recommend!

Everything was awesome from start to finish. A bit pricey but so worth it

Growing up on the Jersey Shore, naturally I love seafood. My hubby is a Native Floridian so, naturally...seafood. We're ALWAYS on the hunt for seafood. This place didn't disappoint. We particularly loved the Lobster Bisque 🦞 and the charbroiled Oysters. And get yourself a Barbados Refresher. This is our new favorite shore seafood joint.

For my first time having a lobster roll it was perfect in all ways. The fries they come with perfectly seasoned. The staff are super friendly and welcoming.

What a fantastic breath of fresh air point lobster is to ocean county. to take an old staple like Europa South and Marry it to fresh lobster from the Jersey shore oh my what a concept. Can't wait to come back again. Worth a try. The surf and turf special on Wednesday says it all.
