Golden Gate Express

We ordered food from here twice on our vacation. Chicken fried rice and chicken w/broccoli. We tried the eggrolls and we tried the chicken teriyaki. Everything was good.

My reviews of Chinese food restaurants hinge on two things, staples of any menu. First, hot and sour soup. Theirs is very good: substantial, lots of protein and vegetables, no tofu chunks that I noticed, no chewy mushrooms. The flavor could be a little stronger but it is spicy and it is sour, so this is just my preference.

Second, beef lo mein. This is always a risky pick, so I'm glad one of my kids chose it, because I wasn't about to. The portion size is enough for two meals, and it is loaded with meat. The meat is tender and flavorful, which must be difficult to do, because most places make it chewy, bland, or both. It was about $15 but for the amount of food you get, reasonably priced.

First time at Golden Gate and it will not be my last. So much flavor packed into their dishes- clearly these were made with love. Fast. Affordable. Friendly. If you are in the Mike for Chinese, go no further than Golden Gate Express. 😃😃😃

You know the food is good when a Karen gives you 5 stars!! Lol I’ve been ordering from here for over 5 years. Food is always fresh and delicious. I only ever had 1 problem where my Mongolian beef was a little too spicy, which it’s supposed to be. And they offered to remake it immediately and even offered delivering it even though they don’t deliver!!! If I could give this place 10 stars, I would!!!

The very best Chinese I have had at the shore or south Jersey. Maybe even one of the best ever (Top 5 100%). I grew up in Princeton/Plainsboro/Hamilton area and there is some good Chinese.
I was blown away here.

General Tso was crispy and spicy.

Hot and sour, my god was it Devine.

Scallion pancakes where perfect and I mean perfect.

If you aren’t sure, this is a guarantee you will not be disappointed.

One of our favorite spots, they have something for everyone in the family and they're open all year. We also love their Boba, especially the Black tea or Coconut milk tea with coffee jelly!

Very friendly when first coming in gives water without having to ask huge portions! Plenty to share and great prices! Lovely experience overall definitely coming again

I swear by the Thai boneless ribs—Asian fusion from staff in the area since I was a teenager. The takeout has a separate station for people in a hurry. Delivery is fast and efficient. There's something nostalgic about a quick, filling meal, and I know Golden Gate Express is a local specialty for those 7 pm debates on what to feed a large house.

Best Chinese food on the Island. Try the spring rolls!

Ordered take out and it was amazing!!! The pork & Golden Gate Special, riblets, and steamed dumplings were delicious. If I ever come through this area again, I will definitely eat here again.

Believe the excellent reviews. Mary's dumplings are amazing, the restaurant is clean as people say, the food is super delicious... Not the slightest bit greasy. The owners are warm and friendly. I haven't had Chinese this good since leaving NY.

Have you ever had a craving for Chinese take out, got it, and it actually was perfect and hit the spot? That's what happened to me the other day when I tried this place.

I hadn't had Chinese take out in a really long time, am new to the area so was looking for a highly rated place, and came across Golden Gate Express. I ordered all of my favs. Spare ribs, sesame chicken, egg rolls, chow fun, and soup--everything was exceptional and delicious. They even give you a side of that fancy, extra good duck sauce and homemade crispy noodles. I felt like a kid again eating at a good Chinese restaurant--but home because of the pandemic!

I highly recommend this place for take out. Definitely my new go-to. And the lady on the phone was the nicest person!! Everything inside super clean looking for the pandemic. Don't hesitate to come here!

This is definitely the best Chinese food around! Fresh and tasty! We usually take out from here but chose to eat in because we were with another couple. I think we will go back to take out because though we LOVE the food, the atmosphere eating there was not as pleasant. I highly recommend you try this place out!! Maybe just enjoy the high quality food from your couch...

The fried rice is delicious and I’m bias because we make homemade fried rice a lot and golden gates fried rice was good. And the fried chicken wings were crispy and delicious!

we have picked up dinner here for over 6 years.. at least once a week, all year round. it is ALWAYS fresh and perfectly done... Marys dumplings a must... we order Chicken with broccoli every time and the last time we did, which was yesterday.. IT WAS BETTER THAN EVER!!! OMG, the chicken was SO tender... perfectly cooked broccoli. this place is amazing... wish they were in Jupiter Florida for the winter months we are there...

I just ordered for the first time and it was hands down the BEST Chinese food I've ever had! Even the rice was delicious! The sweet &sour sauce had so many huge chunks of pineapple, carrots, peppers and onions, the way it should be. I'll never order from anywhere else! A+++****

I have been in the brick area 9 years by far the tastiest food everything we ordered was spot on! Ribs, egg rolls , wonton soup. Fried rice, crispy shrimp, beef and broccoli. Will definitely go back
