Channel Marker Cafe

Had no expectations especially since it took what seemed over a year to finally get a reservation. It was well worth the wait…. They have YUGE portions for the price, good food, friendly service with a great waterside view and BYOB.
Open year around on weekends which is also a plus.

We hosted my brother's engagement party there on 9/10/2022. Tara, the manager, drove to the restaurant to let us see the space, gave me all the prices, food options ahead of time. We knew exactly what we were payinng and it never changed. Tara suggested I drop off all the decorations, liquor and cupcakes ahead of the event so they could help us decorate and set up everything for the dinner party. Let's now talk sbout Britney. Britney was our server and I couldn't have asked for someone more attentive who made our event feel so special. She kept asking and making sure everything was to our satisfaction and we were happy. We were definitely happy with everything Britney did, especially how cute she made the tables and room look for the engagement. Britney is a doll! If you need to use this place for an event, ask for Britney. I loved her. Now let's talk about the food...... WOW. Each person that came to the dinner party was raving about the food. It was truly delicious. The views and atmosphere are right on point. Great place to host an event or simply have a great meal with a fantastic view. Thank you Tara and Britney!!!! Super excited that they are dog friendly outside. The service was exceptional. I'm sorry to say I don't remember the young woman's name who was our server. She was excellent and very nice. The food portions were large. Food came out quickly and was very good. Definitely will go back again.

Wow….. this place was great. The food was really good, the portions were HUGE and it’s right on the water. I don’t get the negative reviews I’ve seen for this place. It’s super hard to get good help nowadays so that I get but we had good service and great food. You’d be foolish to pass on this place.

What a lovely lunch!! So relaxing, beautiful view, and the food was delicious! My crab cake sandwich was huge, so its worth the money for sure! Staff was polite and helpful in answering questions about the menu. The best part was being able to dock up our jetski and arrive by water, amazing! Definitely coming back!!

Great food with a terrific view! I had a crispy buffalo chicken sandwich. With the creamy gorgonzola sauce, it was the perfect mix of spicy, tangy, and savory. My son had the Channel Wings, which were meaty, and full of flavor.

If you get there for the sunset it's awesome. Great view and the food is excellent. A nice BYOB and definitely worth checking it out

I ate there last night for the first time with my son. We shared the prosciutto and cheese board. It was a very generous portion with green olives and caponata that was a perfect blend. I then enjoyed the bronzini. It was cooked to perfection. It came with a well seasoned arugula salad with cucumber and red peppers. Again, there was so much I had to take it home. I couldn't resist the creamy polenta; it was delicious, and yes, I'll be enjoying it again today. My son ordered pasta with bolognese sauce with a generous scoop of ricotta on top. It was excellent and plentiful. He also had to take his home. We were too full for dessert, but enjoyed a well presented and tasty cappuccino. My mom loved the Channel Marker... now I know why.

Live around the corner from this place and had it on our list for a long time. A rainy start to the day made for perfect timing. Pretty quiet on a Monday morning. Very nice inside with seating inside and outside (covered). Looked clean and we had very good service. Everyone (4 of us plus a baby) enjoyed their food - omelets, eggs over easy, pancakes..... We'll be back!

First time going here - Sunday of Labor Day Weekend. View and ambiance was great, but my favorite thing was the food. Big portions, but absolutely delicious. Might have been the best crab cakes I've ever had. I've never thought the food at the restaurants downtown the shore was great. It's been good, but not great. The food at Channel Marker Cafe is great. Can't wait to go back.

Be a credible food was only surpassed by the excellent service and the magnificent view of the Bay highly recommend to go there

Well first time at the channel marker we made reservations but when we got there no reservation for us… well we got a table outside the door right on the water. Our waiter Zack took our order. About an hour later and two glasses of wine he came out to say he didn’t know where our order was he asked us again. Finally our appetizers came out caprese salad shrimp cocktail fabulous. Our entrees came out at a nice timely matter and wonderful a little salty for me but I don’t use salt. Our experience was so lovely even though a few bloopers I still had to give them 5 stars. I will be back. And a thumbs up for our great server Zack. Thank you for a great evening.

Came here for dinner, and my partner ordered the shrimp scampi which she did not like. Our waitress, Jennifer, quickly asked us what she can do to fix this and let us put in another order even though it was so close to closing. The manager, Tim, even came over to check on us multiple times and threw in a dessert for the trouble. Food gets people in the door, but customer service makes them stay. Thank you Jennifer and Tim for all of your help and attention!

Had a wonderful lunch experience today. My first visit to the Channel Marker Cafe. We ate outside. So relaxing and much quieter than inside. The food was outstanding. I had a Lobster Roll that contained a generous amount of lobster meat seasoned just right. My friend had the chicken, mozzarella, and roasted red pepper sandwich...she said it was delicious. The service was outstanding and the highlight of the experience. Our server was Victoria. She was perfect...very personable, friendly, efficient, attentive without being overbearing, and we really enjoyed chatting with her. She is a real asset to the restaurant. Looking forward to a return visit. Thank you, Victoria!

Great time. Stopped in around 7pm in Saturday and they were nice enough to get me searing outside to watch the sunset. Had the Bang Bang shrimp and probably one of the best fish tacos I have had in a while. The seafood pot pie had just the correct amount of cream and scallops. This is a BYOB place and so I ended the meal with some fresh coffee. Glad to recommend

Everything was fabulous there! We.were there for a private party the last night before closing for the season.... Food was excellent with fresh seafood appetizers like clams, mussels, and shrimp..... Main course of salmon with roasted vegetables and potatoes were excellent! Surprisingly tasty food at the Jersey shore! And our server Megan was terrific! A good time was had by all!

We were cruising in Barnegat Bay and wanted a late lunch. We easily tied up the boat and was pleasantly surprised by live music. The food was really quite good with nice presentation, friendly and prompt service. You can choose full sun or shade seating outside or go inside for AC to keep cool. This establishment was really a good find. If you need gas for your boat or marine supplies you can get it there as well.
