Toms River Nursery School

This was our son’s first year at TRNS and we are beyond grateful to have found such a nurturing and fun community to kick off his education. His confidence has blossomed since starting and we are so impressed by all of the new things he learns each day. We love the parent engagement as well and really appreciate the opportunity to volunteer for the occasional event in his class. We had toured other school in the area but none came close to TRNS!

We are so grateful we found Toms River Nursery School for our little ones! After looking at several different options, this school was by far the top choice. Since they are a non-profit parent cooperative, you can really tell the teachers and staff care about what they’re doing. They have flexible programs, the facilities are well taken care of, and the curriculum is a perfect balance of learning while still having fun. My son has grown so much since starting here and I’m so excited to send my toddler here in the fall!

We absolutely adore TRNS! Our daughter looks forward to going to school everyday and she is thriving! Between the educational material she learns, to the new songs she comings home singing and plethora of friends, we couldn’t be happier. Moving to a new state and starting a new school were a huge change for us. TRNS was one change we didn’t have to worry about. I trust all the teachers there and truly feel like they love and care for all the children as if they were their own. We look forward to sending our other daughter in the future! Thank you for all you do!

I am so happy we found this school! When looking at preschool/kindergarten options this school by far had the most comprehensive tour. What I love is that the teachers really get to know the students and learn how each student learns best. I have seen so much growth in my daughter’s academic and social skills since starting in September! The curriculum is academic yet accessible to young children and the community at the school is extremely supportive, fun, and kind.

We feel very lucky to have found TRNS. In the Fall of 2022, we enrolled our older son in the Pre-K class and hoped he would have a positive learning experience. We wanted his first year of formal education to be fun and engaging, and in an environment where he felt safe and comfortable. TRNS has been all of those things and more! He enjoyed the entire year while also gaining skills and knowledge that prepared him for Kindergarten this year. We appreciated our TRNS experience so much that we enrolled our younger son in the nursery class this year. He is thriving, and loves to come home every day and tell us what he learned at school. The teachers are amazing. They create fun learning experiences that keep the students engaged and excited to participate. They also do a great job of keeping parents informed as to what's going on in the classroom from one week to the next. Can't say enough good things about our experience at TRNS during these past two years!

TRNS is such a phenomenal little school! I personally have sent both of my children through their programs and have literally nothing but amazing things to say about the entire staff! It is like being a part of a little family! It is such a great community that I am so happy I was able to be a part of for as long as I was! If you are ever in the market for a toddler, nursery or kindergarten program, Toms River Nursery School should 100% be the place to go!

I cannot express enough how much Toms River Nursery School means to us. It is with great confidence that I have now enrolled my third son at TRNS, as I truly believe there is no better place for him to thrive and develop. The teachers and staff at TRNS have consistently shown understanding and support for my sensitive boys, catering to their individual needs during this crucial stage of their lives. I feel completely at ease leaving my children in their capable hands, knowing that they will not only be academically prepared but also socially responsible when they graduate and transition to public school. I wholeheartedly recommend TRNS to anyone seeking an exceptional early education experience.

It can be so challenging and stressful trying to pick the perfect school for your child to start their education but I am so thankful we had the opportunity to go to TRNS! My daughter has had a great experience here and I can’t say enough good things about the director Mrs. Clark! Highly recommend!!

Since my 3 year old started attending this amazing school I’ve noticed great changes in her. Her vocabulary has improved, she already recognizes most letters and numbers, she expresses herself better… the school does a fantastic job staying connected with the parents. I know exactly what my child is learning in school, how she’s progressing, etc. She’s only attended school since January 2024 and I can’t believe how much she’s grown in a matter of 2 months. Additionally, not only is this school great at helping your child learn, it’s also so nurturing and so much fun!! My only regret is that I didn’t come here sooner!

My son attended the PreK program last year and he loved every minute of it! TRNS is amazing and I would highly recommend to anyone. The staff is loving and caring. They are very professional and give constant updates. They staff is welcoming to parents or grandparents coming into the classroom often to create the home-school dynamic that is so important. Can’t wait for my daughter to go to TRNS next year!

I can’t say enough positive things about TRNS! They are the warmest and most caring staff. Mrs. Clark is such a kind and patient director. My son absolutely adores his teachers and is learning so much every day. We are enrolling our daughter in the toddler program in the Fall. I would give ten stars to TRNS that was an option!

Our child has thrived both socially and academically in this loving and nurturing environment. The curriculum is engaging and age-appropriate, she comes home every day excited to tell us what she did and what she made.
But what sets this nursery school apart is the sense of community it creates. The warmth and care shown by the staff make us feel like we're part of a big family. The open communication, involvement in school activities, and the bonds we've formed with other parents have made this journey even more special.

I attended TRNS over 30 years ago and am so happy to see it is still thriving! I don’t live in the area to send my kids there, but my friends who still live in TR send their kids there and they have had the best experience! The teachers and staff are beyond the best!

So so happy we chose TRNS for our son. Letting your first go off to school is nerve wracking and everyone is so nice and welcoming from the tour to orientation and throughout the school year. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a school for their little ones!

We have sent all three of our daughters here to TRNS. Fortunately, we have always enjoyed our experiences and our children never came home unhappy, ever. Their days were always filled with engaging activities. I would easily recommend TRNS to anyone that I come in contact with.

All three of my girls have gone to Toms River nursery over the last 6 years. I wish I could keep them here forever! The teachers love their kids. They’re professional and prioritize safety. I would never send them anywhere else. The peace of mind I have sending them to Toms River nursery is priceless.

Very professional Day Care and Preschool. The teachers and staff are wonderful to work with. Very clean facility and well organized. I would highly recommend to anyone seeking a school to provide a wonderful learning experience and a place where their children are safe.

@Jordan Holmes I don't bring my son to this school yet still considering it... after researching I think you got the wrong school this school is in old freehold Rd. Mrs. Linda is from Hilltop on rt. 37. I think You're reviewing the wrong school... Or is this Mrs. Linda working in multiple schools?
