Via Mare Ristorante

We really enjoyed Via Mare!! The meals were awesome. I had shrimp diablo and my wife spaghetti and meatball!! We will be back and thank you for the delicious meal.

I have been here many times. I usually get the veal parmesan and garlic bread. So amazing. I am Italian and it's delicious. Nice romantic atmosphere. If your in the area, check it out.

Dinner here was fantastic. Our server Crystal was very attentive and on top of things! Via Mare is a charming Italian restaurant in the bay side of Avalon.

I went with a classic veal picatta dish. Well seasoned and cooked perfectly by the chef. Can’t wait to eat here again!

The best Italian meal I have ever had in a restaurant. From appetizers to dessert, everything was delicious. Soft shell crabs & the sauce is to die for..

Best Italian food in the area, has a unique atmosphere. Combine that with authentic Italian cuisine, and you’ve reached heaven on earth. Veal, pasta, seafood it doesn’t matter, it’s all amazing! Not to mention the amazing bread and house made salad dressing! On top of that it’s a family owned and operated restaurant. Been going there since I could walk! A must for anyone visiting or local to the area!

We got a last minute reservation. Food was excellent, the waitress was very busy, but handled it well. Prices are reasonable. Great value for the money. Will be back next year, probably twice during our week.

The only negative if you can call it that, is the salad leaves something to be desired. The entries were wonderful and the staff, professional.

Been going there for years! it's quietest & most relaxing dinner on the island. The portions are insane. You will totally leave full & relaxed. They're not trying to rush you in or out - just enjoy your meal. Sometimes the Mom or Son (Mario?) comes out & says hello - it's very homey.

Came here for the first time with my boyfriend for our anniversary. Phenomenal food, service was excellent, overall a wonderful experience. We will absolutely be back, keep up the great work!

Via Mare is THE Italian restaurant to visit on 7 mile island. Reservations are reccomended for this small but lively place in Avalon, NJ. Depending on the night and season it can be quiet and romantic or loud and exciting. Either way, the food is always fantastic. From traditional dishes to seafood; you can count on fresh ingredients and seafood caught the same day. The old world flavor of their red sauce is "just like Grandmom used to make". If they have the pan seared Halibut, it will melt in your mouth. I can honestly say that everything here is good, after 30 plus years of visits I have had (or shared) most of the menu. Save room for dessert, the tortufo are exquisite and the tiramisu is to die for!

The only thing better than the food was the service. My grandparents took me to Via Mare as a child. It was their favorite restaurant on the island. Now I frequent Via Mare as an adult. A lovely, family run place that treats you like you are part of the family.

I have been going to Via Mara Ristorante for years. I have never had a bad meal at this restaurant. Excellent service, Excellent food. And I knew they owner very well.

With out a doubt the best restaurant in Avalon. The Calamari and the Muscles are fantastic the main corses are cooked go order by a goumet chef. The entire restarant was renovated this year and is very well done.
If you are lucky enough to have the hostess Suzzanne sing opera for you would make your evening.

We love Via Mare. It has a great atmosphere and delicious food. The owner, Julia, is a delight.

The food doesn't get any better. Everything was great. The four of us had a different dish and it was fantastic.

I just love their soft shell crabs! They are the very best! And I've had them at many restaurants.
