Nuss Construction replaced the roof on our house this spring, and upon seeing their quality of workmanship and cleanup, we decided to have Nuss bid on an interior kitchen project. After selecting Nuss for the project, we couldn't be more pleased. They were extremely thorough with their details of what we could expect, which helped minimize surprises. The quality of work is second to none, and the workers take great care in your home to ensure little disruption.
I highly recommend Nuss Construction for any interior or exterior work. They have great design ideas, excellent craftsmen, and great attention to detail.

If you want a professional, reliable, honest, competent, trustworthy construction company to build your addition or put on a new roof or remodel your home call Nuss Construction. We have had them complete a large family room addition. A few years later when a problem arose. They come out & inspected the problem. They fixed the it with no cost to us &even repainted the room. They were so wonderful to work with that when we needed to add on and remodel our kitchen Nuss was the the company we wanted to work with. And my new kitchen is everything I hoped it would be.
It can be overwhelming to plan a remodel. There are so many details &concerns. They patiently explained every aspect of the job.
The workmen that came to our home were polite,trustworthy, clean and professional.. Cudos to Ron who is a true craftsmen.

Bottom Line Up Front: Nuss Construction did an amazing job remodeling our kitchen, powder room and family room and we are extremely pleased. We would hire them again without hesitation and strongly recommend them without any reservation.

We hired Nuss subsequent to an extensive search and interview process of multiple remodelers.
Once we got started, what immediately stood out was the incredible amount of emphasis our designer Gary placed on planning out every detail of the job. And honestly, it was a bit frustrating at times but only because we were excited to get the job started. However, our planner Gary strongly recommended we follow the process and not cut any corners or leave any details to chance due to our enthusiasm to get the job started. So we trusted their meticulous planning process and we are so glad we did.

By the time we were ready to move to the production (build) part of the project, virtually every detail was mapped out and Nuss’ carpenters simply followed it. Our lead carpenter, Hector, is the best carpenter I’ve ever worked with. (I’ve owned homes for 30 years and have dealt with multiple carpenters for numerous reasons during that time) His carpentry and especially finish carpentry skills are second to none. For the weekend carpenters like me, you know the value of caulk in compensating for an inability to make a precise cut when working with wood. It was amazing to watch him build the crown molding on my cabinets and fit the joints so precisely that no caulk was necessary to hide any gaps in the seams. That’s just an example of the level of quality and craftsmanship they applied to every aspect of our job.

The other thing I like is they started my job and stuck with it until it was done. There was none of that waiting forever for the contractor to finish the last 10% of the job because they had moved on to another job. Also, my lead carpenter started each week with an update on the projects scheduled for that week along with daily updates regarding the status of those projects.

Additionally, they kept the work area exceptionally clean. Gutting a kitchen while you are living in a house is extremely disruptive regardless of what contractor you choose. However, Nuss always cleaned and vacuumed the work area at the end of every day. Even when my kitchen was stripped to the sub floor, I could walk through it every evening without finding any loose nails lying around or construction equipment laid all over the floor. All the construction tools were placed neatly aside until the next workday. It wasn’t a value add that I gave much thought to in the beginning but our family greatly appreciated the emphasis Nuss placed on maintaining a clean work area realizing their work area was also our living/transition area every evening. Not every carpenter has the level of awareness to know the difference between working in an empty house versus working in house while people are living there.

Nuss wasn’t on the low end of the price quotes we received for this job. However, be very careful in letting price be your final determinant. Major remodeling projects are not commodities in that any contractor you ultimately select can/will do the job to your satisfaction. If you make a decision simply on cost, you may end up of with a final product you regret for years to come.

Recently we had our bathroom remodeled by Nuss Construction Company.

We chose Nuss because they had done work for us on two other projects, and trusted them to do a professional and quality job, with no surprise costs.

Mike was the lead carpenter and quickly became like one of the family. He was pleasant and personable, in addition to being a super talented carpenter. The bathroom remodel far exceeded our expectations with the ideas suggested by the Nuss team. We look forward to the next project with Nuss Construction Company!

After searching online for construction contractors, I came across several positive reviews regarding the Nuss Construction company. The reviews really led me to believe that this was going to be a great experience and it was!

I initially met with Kyle B. (Home Improvement Specialist/Lead Design Consultant) who came over to discuss home improvement goals of my one story Rancher home. I wanted everything to be modernized and attractive however, after Kyle’s thorough investigation of the property, his main concern was not just aesthetics, but addressing the foundation and severe mold issues that were causing our home to be unhealthy from the neglect of a prior contractor. To me, this confirmed that Nuss wasn’t just out for money. Kyle immediately put a plan in action to get our home up to par.

Kyle coordinated with a fantastic team to do the plumbing, electrical, floor and construction. As the Lead Design Consultant he was able to implement many years of expertise in creating a vibrant space that afforded excellent living conditions and enhanced the health and beauty of my home. My projects included mold removal, replace faux beams, recessed lighting, lighting in the attic, new floors, gutter installation, new bathroom cabinets, master bedroom wall reconstruction and painting.

I couldn’t be more grateful to Kyle, Rich, Rob, Ray and Tammy for the complete organization and cooperation in my home. They were respectful, timely, friendly and always kept us informed throughout the process. I would highly recommend Nuss because their workmanship speaks for itself. Nuss treated us as though we were family because they are a family company. Make sure you ask for Kyle, you will not be disappointed.

Can't say enough good things about Nuss. After interviewing several contractors for our job (refurbish a finished basement after water damage), we were most comfortable with Nuss, the Nuss plan, and the team assigned to our job. Best decision we made. They were easy to work with, true professionals and dotted every 'i' and crossed every 't'. We're already planning to use Nuss on our next project.

John Colaianni couldn’t have been more supportive or helpful during the design and planning stages. Having never remodeled a kitchen, I especially appreciated John’s expertise and honesty with me. He prepared me for each visit to the showrooms and willingly answered my many questions. It was a pleasure to work with him.

Corey, the foreman on my project, kept things running smoothly. He also kept me informed daily of what would be happening or any changes that may have occurred. Coordinating different vendors can be difficult, but Corey made the process seem so easy. He is a skilled craftsman with the ability to problem solve, which not everyone can do.

I highly recommend  Nuss Construction. From the initial meeting, to the contract, to the end of the project, they made it feel effortless. I am a very happy customer and would definitely use them again!

Nuss replaced all 16 of our windows. I also called a company that specializes in windows to compare prices. Bob, from Nuss, gave me an honest, accurate estimate right from the start. The window company gave me, what I feel was, a fake promotion price.
The team that worked on our project was amazing! They were very polite, professional, and answered all our questions along the way.
After the project was completed some adjustments were needed (as expected with home projects) and Nuss scheduled someone as soon as possible to come out and take care of things. Our windows are beautiful!

We've had Nuss do several home improvements and we're satisfied enough to have them put on our new roof. Both John our sales consultant and Glenn the site manager were thorough in answering all of our questions. They did the job in 1 day and the results were great. Highly recommend for any roofing needs.

We're very happy with our newly renovated kitchen! We went with Nuss after a frustrating experience with another contractor who renovated our bathroom a few years ago. Unlike with that contractor, Nuss was much more organized and detailed, and most importantly our new kitchen was completed right on schedule.

Everyone from this company was polite from the sales man to the crew installing my roof. They showed up when they said they would be here. When they were finished, they cleaned up after there work. I haven't found any nails, which is something that my other neighbors complained about from other contractors. I have gotten many compliments on my roof. I would definitely recommend Nuss Construction to anyone.

Nuss Construction Company is a top notch company. We have worked with both John Colaianni, Glenn Richards, and some other members of the team for our new roof, some bathroom work, creating an access panel in our basement for a water line, and chimney capping work. We are more than pleased with their accessibility and attention to detail in all of their work. Nuss is our "go to" contractor for all of our home improvement and maintenance needs. A++ in our book!

I would highly recommend Nuss for all construction needs. I had two bathrooms redone (at the same time) - which may sound like a disaster in the making, but it was nothings short of a wonderful experience. From my initial meeting with my Sales Consultant, Cagney, thru the entire demo and remodel, I have nothing but great things to say. My carpenter, Ron, was terrific - his attention to detail was unmatched. I am so happy to have found them - it certainly put me at ease to know my house was in such capable hands. Our home is 18 years old now and we decided it was time for a complete remodel of our master bathroom. After soliciting several proposals, we decided to go with Nuss Construction. What set Nuss apart from the other contractors was the level of detail in their proposal. The detail in that contract gave us confidence that Nuss would deliver the project for the price they quoted.

Where other contractors would simply show us a proposed floor plan for their design, our designer, Kyle Baptiste, showed us a 3D computer rendering of his plans. That really helped us visualize what the end product would look like. When time came to select tile, granite and fixtures, Kyle actually took us shopping to make sure we found products that would work in the design and stay within price point of the construction budget.

During demolition and throughout construction, our project manager Mark Teears was onsite daily to make sure all work was completed to the highest quality and the job site was kept clean. Mark contacted us daily to let us know how the job was progressing. If there was any issue that came up with the work of any of the subcontractors, Mark made sure it was resolved.

Nuss truly did a wonderful job. Between Kyle’s design and Mark making that design a reality, we couldn’t be happier with how the project turned out. How happy? We have long-term plans for a complete remodel of our kitchen; Nuss will be the first phone call we make.

After meeting with several contractors regarding our kitchen renovation, we knew Nuss was the choice for us after our initial meeting with Anthony. Anthony showed up to the appointment on time, and was extremely polite and respectful of our home (even taking off his shoes as he walked in, which we typically don't even do at our house!). He was very open and receptive to our wants/needs for the reno, and when he returned with the design, we were very excited to move forward. All of their subcontractors were also polite, and cleaned as they went, and really did a great job going above and beyond to make sure we were happy.

Nuss was not the lowest bid, but they weren't the highest either, and they were extremely fair and conscious of our budget when changes arose during construction (mainly things we wanted to change or add). Our new kitchen is our dream kitchen, and we get so many compliments that it looks like it is out of a magazine, and we couldn't be happier!!

Anthony and Mike (the lead carpenter), really went above and beyond to make sure we were happy, so much that I plan to use Nuss again in the near future for our front door/foyer and bathroom remodel.

Initially when we began our search for a contractor to help with the renovation of our kitchen, we reached out to many close personal friends and family for a reference. Almost everyone we spoke to would not recommend who they used because of their dissatisfaction based on their own experiences. However, one family member had great things to say about Nuss Construction. We made the call to Nuss and couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome.

We were extremely impressed with their professionalism, quality and the commitment displayed to the project as a whole. John Colaianni, the Project Specialist who oversaw the entire project, listened to our ideas and helped guide us through the design. He was very friendly and responsive and would get back to us in a timely manner. He outlined the scope of the project and provided very realistic timelines and pricing. The job finished on time and within the budget that was initially discussed.

Cory Jamieson, the Project Manager, was also exceptional. Not only was he on time, but he arrived early every day. He presented us with a detailed schedule prior to the job and was also able to adapt to any changes that we had throughout the course of the project. If we were the least bit dissatisfied, he would adjust and address immediately. More importantly, he made himself available to us no matter when we had a question.

We most definitely would recommend Nuss Construction and look forward to working with them on our future projects.

Nuss helped with my crawlspace issues. We had a sagging main beam that was creating cracks around doors and windows in my home. There was water in crawlspace. They dug a french drain, installed sump pump , and placed 6 support jacks to support main beam. They were extremely easy to work with from start to finish. They came out, were straightforward, flexible with the scope of the job, and did exactly what they said they would. The quality of workmanship was excellent. I would not hesitate to call them again for projects in the future. I have worked with many contractors in the area, and they seem to fall short in one area or another (initial response, delays in work, communication, workmanship, cleanup). Nuss nailed it!

We knew we had a leak in the Master Bathroom of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Rectory. Nuss was concerned that there might be more to it than we thought. Thankfully they worked methodically to ascertain the extent of the leak(s). The Master Bath and Main Bath shared two walls. There were leaks in both bathrooms. The decision was to gut both rooms, repair all of the leaks from below the floor and run new piping into the bathrooms. The budget was tight, Nuss worked with us to come up with a revised plan that fit our budget. The work was done expertly, timely, and the finished product is beautiful and clear of all leaks. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Nuss Construction for the thoroughness and professional approach to our project. Thank you!

We were very pleased with the bathroom that Nuss remodeled for us. The team was attentive to the details that were important to us, and went out of their way to make sure that we were satisfied with every phase of the project. We spoke with several companies about this job and we're very glad that we chose Nuss, based on our confidence in John Colaianni, our salesman and Mark Teears the lead carpenter. I recently had Nuss Construction do a major renovation on my home which included adding a foundation under an existing 24 x 14 sunroom. The sunroom ridge had sagged and the whole structure had to be squared. Also the roof needed replacing on both the sunroom and the rest of the house including two old skylights. What a recipe for disaster.

My initial contact was with John Colaianni. John spent endless hours with me writing a contract that covered all the work that was needed. His knowledge and professionalism combined with the ease of working with him gave me confidence that Nuss was the right choice.

This confidence was confirmed by the expert work on a consistent schedule of lead carpenter Corey Jamison and his crew. If you’ve had any work done you’ll understand that both the quality and schedule are important. My sunroom is now solid and square with no leaks and looks better than new.

I have had other work done (including the original addition of the sunroom) and my experience with Nuss was by far the best. I would certainly look to John and Corey for any future projects.
