Scotto & Crimani

The Pizza Tour continues! Our next stop was Scotto & Crimani in Hamilton, NJ. Classic pizza parlor vibe!

We got one of our standard orders...3 plain slices. EXCELLENT thin crust pizza. Our pizza had a very tasty, very thin crust. Crisp on the bottom yet it had a nice chew to it. High quality cheese and very good nicely spiced tomato sauce. The pizza was perfectly balanced in taste and texture. We're definitely going back again when we're in the area.

Update to my update - EXCELLENT burgers as well. I had a cheeseburger there today 6/29/24. Great quality patty cooked medium well, perfectly charred and juicy, with a fresh slightly toasted Kaiser roll. Roll was toasted crisp on the outside, soft and fresh on the inside. Will definitely be getting more burgers there!

I've had a few of their dishes. Portion sizes are large. I can't believe I hadn't reviewed them by now but...

The white wine garlic mussels are INSANELY good. Seriously, best white mussels app I have ever had. Cheesesteaks are always excellent. Pizza is fine, had some bangers and some less so, but I admit I make my own creations and some of that is on me, lol. Ask for the pizza well done/crispy.

That being said, last night I had their fettuccine Alfredo with sausage added, a chicken Parm platter, and stuffed shells that we picked up. The whole household was RAVING about all three but especially the Alfredo. The chicken soup is awesome and while I didn't try it apparently the pasta fagioli gets very high marks.

Always very friendly staff, makes you feel like a friend or long lost relation.

Super reasonable pricing, quick delivery and pickup service. Sit down service was great as well when we went in for a late lunch/early dinner.

P.S., tell whoever made the Alfredo I will marry them. My partner probably wouldn't mind, from the way he cleared his plate. I hope it's the same person who made my mussels before, but if not I guess I have a difficult decision to make...

I am allergic to dairy and I’ve been looking for and old fashioned tomato pie with no cheese for a log time.
Speaking to Rob on another visit, he asked me to explain what I wanted.
Tonight he made it, and OMG, I was in heaven. My first pizza in years that I actually got to eat with toppings!!!!
We have always had good service and food there, but this was over the top!

I will definitely be back for more. I ate 3 to my normal 1 or 2 pieces and ready to go back for my fourth!!!!

This place is like a family kitchen they love you so much the food is so amazing you feel right at home I wish I could eat there everyday just to sit by their side and talk to them it's really a family pizza shop restaurant atmosphere love this place

Basically my first choice spot for Pizza in NJ. Haven’t had any as good since I’ve lived down here. Great owners to talk to while the food is prepared. I also get the burgers and fries.

BEST pasta fagioli soup!! Loved the ratio of broth to pasta...lots of rich broth.

Also, love to watch my pizza come out of brick oven.

My sister works here but we’ve always gone here since we were little!!! The food is fantastic and leaves you full and satisfied! It’s a cute family owned business who take pride in their cooking, I definitely recommend!

Our go-to place . Food is consistent. Soups are killer (best chicken soup around). Family that owns and runs it is dear, all the employees are very friendly.
Treat yourself to La Forchetta (finer dining) on the right side of the restaurant - made to order and very good.

I have tried several items from the menu and have not ever been disappointed. Whether a slice of pizza or chicken panini. The taste is always excellent. They also work with you if you have any food allergies.

I ordered pizza for my CYO basketball teams end of season party. The pizza was great and the delivery person was fast and courteous!!

Place is great, love the brick oven cooking my pizza.. great cheese steaks and mozzarella sticks and things like that.. definitely will come back!
