Allen's Clam Bar

I have been going to Allen’s for over 25 years now and they never disappoint!! Was so happy with our server and so glad they brought back the deviled clams! We drove almost an hour to get there and it’s worth the trip. Get yourself a love potion cocktail it was delicious.
Can’t say enough, I just love it there.

I have been going to this place for so long. I was shocked to see. That they finally put in a bar. Their seafood is a must have. Once you have it. You never forget it.

Stopped for a quick lunch after arriving, they had a lunch soup and sandwich special for only $10!

A bowl of soup (lobster bisque, Manhattan clam chowder and at least one more) and half a sandwich. They were out of tuna fish, so we had the shrimp salad.

Both the lobster bisque and clam chowder were beyond delicious.

The shrimp salad sandwich was also delicious.

Just sorry they were closed today (Tuesday) because I would have loved to get another lunch before my return home.

Finally stopped in for dinner on a Sunday night. Have lived in area just over a year. My wife and I were not disappointed. The Food and Service was incredible. Everything was cooked exactly right and the flavors were Amazing! They have a Bar and I must say the Scotch tasted especially satisfying that evening. Highly recommend a stop by Allen's. Maybe you will get our server who was just on point, she made the night even better.

We were close by at Smithville and looked up this little gem and so glad we went.

Food was excellent.

Service was amazing.

We only went with sharable plates for the first visit. See pics. But order anything and I believe it will be excellent based on what we ate.

I've driven by so many times but never stopped. Today I visited and was extremely satisfied with my decision. The Honey Garlic Salmon was perfectly cooked.

We stopped in for dinner tonight (family of5). The hostess, Karen, & our waitress, Erica, were SO friendly, attentive, & caring!
It was our first time there & we loved it! The food was unbelievable!!! Seriously, the best lobster roll I’ve ever had!
I had an urgent call that I had to take just after our entrees came out. I stepped outside to take the call & when I came back in I found out that the waitress & hostess felt so badly that my food was getting cold, that they covered it in foil for me. I really appreciated that! So sweet of them!
The food really was amazing & we can’t wait to go back!
Also, it’s very clean in there & decorated really cute!

Amazing service, fresh food, and great portions. Every entrée comes with 2 sides and a biscuit! Pictures don’t do the food justice. Sea bass was the best I’ve ever had and the side of vegetables was so flavorful and fresh.

This place is so cute. It is an inviting and warm spot for a good meal. The people who waited on us were quite friendly and really seemed invested in the restaurant. We had lobster bisque, bacon-wrapped scallops, and shrimp and grits. Very good!

Foods always good quality is excellent. Had the crab Imperial and lobster roll prepared with butter and lemon. They don't make their lobster roll with mayonnaise and that's a plus for me. We've hit this place 5 times in the past 18 months. If we get anywhere near New Gretna we go. Rt 9 right off the NJ Parkway. If you're there afterwards take a ride right up the street to Viking Yachts. Smithville is close and that's a good stop too. NJ is beautiful

Fresh local seafood and great hospitality! Just a short stroll off the Parkway makes it the perfect stop for a bite to eat on either side of your trip down to AC! I'll be back to this little gem for sure!!! Chef tip: don't miss the chowder, local oysters, fried scallops and the double lobster roll which they serve CT style!

Been there a number of times, never had a bad meal !! Be it lobster, crab, flounder, all very fresh and delicious!!

The waitress saw there was something not quite right and corrected it before anything was said. That's top notch. Food was great. Service was perfect, even with every chair full in the place.

Came in for the "all you can eat Snow Crabs" and we were not disappointed.

My fiance and I recently celebrated our second anniversary here. It was late, during the week, and almost at closing, so we were the only ones on the outside patio and there was almost noone there...it was perfect...I told her that I reserved the whole place for us. She smiled like believed me...but knew it wasn't true. Her scallops were perfect, the Crab Imperial had the largest peices of Blue Claw in it I've ever seen, and we had the Eagles game streaming on my phone. It was very romantic...it actually really was, we had a great time and the seafood is amazingly fresh. I highly recommend paying this place a visit if you're in the area.
